  1. Wonderful song . I Really liked the short break at the end. Those were Fantastic smooth vocals especially the harmony tracks. This sounds like a classic .. mark

Very Nice. Easy to tell you're an ex horn player. I Loved the change around 2:30. This song put me in mind of the band Traffic. (low spark of high heeled boys). Nice playing .. mark
  3. Treesha , I absolutely Loved the intro and start of the song. Very nice . I play a "real touchy" Native American flute and the only way I could even come close to reproducing the sound , is with Constant use of the pitch wheel and a real "airy" reverb like the free Raum reverb. There are also a lot of notes that can't be played , but only implied . Great job , I very much enjoyed it .. mark
  4. Eric , Thanks for the details on your signal chain. I figured it was something I couldn't reproduce . Loved the rubber band trick. I usually use a piece of foam trimmed from a square of acoustic wedge. All my acoustics hanging on the wall have a piece under all the strings . Hope to hear more from you soon .. mark
  5. Great playing! Those were some Tasty melody lines and Fantastic tone .. Enjoyed it .. (I hope you reply to Kurts question). mark
  6. Miguel , Good job on the guitars , they were pretty convincing. Great job on the vocals , plenty of power and fantastic harmony. Everything flowed nicely. I Really enjoyed the song .. mark
  7. The last reply from a staff member (that I've read )about updating CbB Without using the Bandlab assistant only required Microsoft Edge as your default browser.
  8. Fantastic ! Great job on the vocals , especially on the highs . You Really locked in on the feel of this song . Very impressive. If you're looking for crits or suggestions .. I don't have Any. mark
  9. I'm calling this one finished. If something really sticks out that needs addressing I'll fix it but won't bump it up again. I did a lot of work on the vocals and think they're much better now. I added more drums and addressed the thin low end. Thanks for All the feedback on this and the instrumental version. Special thanks to @noynekker for the guidance. I really appreciate the help .. mark
  10. Thanks @David Sprouse I think you were the first to agree with a Bowie feel , and that the lyrics would be Tough. I think you injected a subliminal message I couldn't get away from . It helped. Thanks .. mark
  11. Thanks Reginald for the feedback. But , I Never apply FX to a clip or bounce to tracks , and don't see how I could have done it accidently. That's why I'm concerned. MS
  12. Does "bounce to clips" bake in "any" FX or pro channel enhancements? I bounce a Lot with all my comping . I just removed a style dial module , but swear I can still hear it . Always confused .. mark
  13. @noynekker Thanks for the feedback. I'll look at the vocal volume and guitar part. I'm in the process of a substantial remix. The "pulse" on the main vox is Really getting annoying. I used a lot of vibrato when I sang it and don't need the FX. Drums were also Weak. Hopefully I'll put this one behind me soon.. I got sidetracked with a Lewitt microphone mixing contest. Pretty cool and a good learning experience. Big prizes and great wav files to work with. If anyone is into mixing and have the time you should check them out. Thanks .. mark
  14. Great song and Very well written . Maybe some minor EQ and volume tweeks , but it sounds like a Final draft. Enjoyed it mark
  15. Jack , Very nice! I Loved all the Cool changes in the song. I liked the slow bpm and the strange way you syncopated the kick and snare . Very unusual panning , but it worked. You really got a good feel on this one and the way it was structured kept my attention. I believe you really showed off your style here. Superb job .. mark
  16. This was a tough one as far as lyrics. Pretty simple but I think I got the feel I wanted. I had a hard time getting it to sit in the mix until I side chained most of the tracks with the main vocal. I wanted an unusual FX for a more surreal off earth sound and settled on "pulse" on one of the doubled tracks. Scenario - She is at the end of her stay as crews are rotated , Commander want's her to stay one more rotation and return to earth with him in 24 more sols. All comments , crits and suggestions are welcomed. Thanks .. mark
  17. Esther, Great mix! I loved the panning , echo and slap backs. You have wonderful voice and this sounds "radio ready". The artwork was also Perfect for this one. Shure hope to hear more from you. I Loved it .. mark

Treesha , I Loved the backing tracks. The Perfect combination of voices gave it a nice light and a little quirky feel that I thought was Fantastic! I think the reggae guitar could be brought up a good bit and the bass thinned out to brighten it up a little. Great song .. mark
  19. Michael , Yes .. If a compressor is capable of side chaining , it will have a way to enable it "somewhere". I'm not at my DAW and can't check the Sonitus compressor . Are you trying to use the Multiband Comp.? The pro channel compressor works well. Look in the tutorials section for side chaining . The tutorials here on this site are normally Very good. "Creative Sauce" has some Great ones. mark
  20. Yesterday I sent 12 tracks to a new bus. In the new busses pro channel , I "enabled" the side chain switch on the bus compressor. Opened the mixer view and added a send from the main vocal track to that bus compressor. Adjusted the compressor to duck all 12 tracks with the vocals. I've never done it with the Sonitus compressor . Is the side chain enabled on it with a send feeding it ? I couldn't tell on the video. Good luck .. ms
  21. Hey David , I thought the chord voicings were Superb with very nice tones. I too think it could stand on its own without the drums although the cymbals were nice. Nice structure and very interesting . Enjoyed the listen .. mark
  22. You have a Great voice with a nice "airy" quality . Very relaxing. I Loved the laid back jazz/funk bass line. Enjoyed it mark
  23. I always liked the Monkees music and grew up in that era , but I really don't remember that one , but I enjoyed it. As far as Rain , I had forgotten how complex the vocals were on the chorus. I think you did an "incredible" job capturing it. Extremely well done in every aspect. mark
  24. Strong ! I loved the change around 2:34. What bass/synth did you use ? It Really cut thru the mix . Very enjoyable .. mark
