I don't think I can add anything meaningful to what has been said. I was mesmerized by your creativity in the video. Loved all of it .. mark

Epic Sounding. Incredible vocals ! I was especially impressed by the range. I really enjoyed the double leads as well as the drum track. Fantastic audio production as well as the video. mark

Rex , that was a fun listen! I couldn't stop smiling thru most of it. I thought the L/R harmony was Very nice. I'll bet you had a great time with no pressure doing this one. Enjoyed it .. mark

This may not be relevant , but I've had save problems on my last 2 projects. Both times it was an active Youlean Loudness meter accidently left on in the master bus. ms

Nice .. there were some somewhat dissident but very interesting changes in this one. I for one am Never bored by your smooth style, but am very intimidated by your mixing /mastering talent. I usually feel as if I'm listening to a nice reference track that would be out of my reach. It would be interesting to hear what you would do with a song outside of this genre. Another impressive production. Enjoyed it .. mark

Wookie , that was quite an Experimental piece. I thought the tempo changes were very interesting and effective. I also thought you did a Fantastic job on the vocals. I especially liked the work you did on the toms thru all of the drum track. Very Nice . mark

@Bajan Blue Thank You. I appreciate your comments and Always enjoy your mixes and videos. @FreeEarCandy Yeah , the guitar stuff was Very minimal and I didn't want to take it to a different direction. If I couldn't have gotten the vocals at least "close" I would have scrapped the entire project. Thanks .. @DeeringAmps I Always appreciate your comments and never feel I'm done without your approval. You forced me to check out the mud in the low end that I didn't hear and really didn't know how to fix. One thing led to another and now , I think the mix is Way better. Thanks' for that. Top link now reflects the changes. I'm satisfied . mark

Absolutely Love the low end in this one , the nylon guitar and cello were Perfect. I thought the bass / kick relationship was Real nice. These obviously weren't your basic 808 samples. ?? Really Great vocals ! Smiling again .. mark

@KSband Yes , musically there's not a lot to it. The two bands that covered it pretty much stripped the song and kept a hook line they played off of. I'll take a close look at the bass. Thanks. @Wookiee Thanks for weighing in. When you get time , google the song and you'll quickly find Giant Rooks with AMK doing it. It has pretty much gone viral. The Rooks lead singer is Fantastic and rarely sings the way he did on this one. Hennen Mae of AMK always sings real deep and growly and very rarely sings in English. I'm a fan of both bands so this one stuck with me. @subvibe Thanks , I appreciate the comment , especially from a producer like you. @jack c. I'm glad you liked this. I am doing all the vocals myself. It was a little bit of a challenge singing differently for each part . I did them in the order that they're in instead of singing all the parts from each singer all at once. I appreciate the comments and I'm still playing around with the mix .. mark

Hello , here is a cover of a cover. Annen Mae Kenterheit with Giant Rooks covering a song by Susanne Vega. Both German bands that I listen to quite a bit . This was done just for fun to see if I could do both lead singers and see if I can get this song out of my head ! Anything helpful with this mix that I'll never do anything with .. will be appreciated. Thank You .. mark -Link reflects Remix- https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14598490

I had another listen to the remix (I think). I believe the issue I'm having with the toms is yes they are a little loud but , it seems your cymbals have a really pristine sounding reverb with probably a 3 or more second tail. The toms sound Completely Dry and it's putting them in a strange place especially without a noticeable kick. mark

Another chilly song . It flowed Very nicely all the way to the end. I believe I would sacrifice a little of the sub's and punch the highs and high mids a little more. I believe the apparent loudness would come up some with these changes leaving more headroom for the boosting stage. Enjoyed it .. mark

Cool dark soundscape. I really liked the sax around the 1 minute mark. I would for sure address the toms. Very nice build up to the ending . Fantastic job ! mark

The whiskey almost did my incredible guitarist nephew in for good. He's now clean sober and playing again. I just learned he left Mexico on may 1st attempting to backpack the entire Continental Divide trail to Canada. He completed the Appalacian trail 4 years ago. He told me "life is nice not being in the fog , it didn't kill me and now Nothing can stop me"

Rex , Beautifully simple and Very well sung. I did have a little trouble with the quick L/R sweeping in the main vocal lines. (with headphones on) It probably isn't very noticeable listening thru monitors though. Are the main vocals double tracked with different panning or did you use an automated sweep ? Enjoyed it .. mark

Love your voice in this one Keith. Never heard the song before but I Really Like it . Nice lead parts .. mark

RPMs were up and you didn't miss a gear! Great Wah work and a terrific ending. Enjoyed it .. mark

I missed the first version. This sounds Real smooth and as Lynn said "buttery" . I wish I hadn't read the comments before listening (I normally don't) but , I was really wanting to hear the drums More forward driving the sax. I can't be sure now how I would have felt about the drums and percussion without my attention focused on them. I do think drive and smooth can live together .. Enjoyed your playing .. mark

Smooth Groove! Along with jack c , the trumpet also got my attention. Beautiful when it came in. I thought the vocals were sizzling a little much in the highs. Maybe 10k or up. I'm not listening on a Steller playback system , but it's the same one always use for playback. I enjoyed the song and the vocalist. mark

Very Cool! Looks like you've got a pretty complex setup and know how to use it. Great voice , I like the way you sustain the notes without using any vibrato. I'm curious what you used for the screen capture of the DAW. Enjoyed it .. mark
-
I Really enjoyed that. I thought the main theme carried nicely throughout the entire song. I especially appreciated the kick drum in the early parts of the song. The guitars were Real nice.. mark
-
Bruce , I guess the votes are in . Another Fantastic production ! I thought the backing orchestration was just right. It wasn't lacking at all and not too far up front to distract from the normal instruments. I always think your vocals are Superb , and this one I believe topped them all. You do know you're going to have to explain how you achieved the "Steller" guitar work . don't you ? mark

Great writing and performance ! I Really liked the way this one chugged like a freight train then faded into the distance. Great laid back vocal performance as well. Big fan of the old black and white photos. Loved it .. mark

Treesha , Very Cool ! That went from a little spooky to surreal to a little frightening. I thought the ending was perfect ! Lots of stuff happening here and I don't see how you kept track of it all. The only timing glitches I heard was in the intro. I think at 0:22 is an offender and really the only place really needing attention. Very impressive work . mark

Hello , there sure is a Lot of Cool stuff going on in this one , like the little synth part at 2:19. Especially liked the bottom end , nice power without getting boomy (??) I thought the inhale was copied and pasted throughout as a percussive effect. I think at least reducing it would be in order. Another Fantastic performance and mix. Enjoyed it .. mark
