  1. Larry , Nice relaxed and smooth. I do think the bass track distracted from the mood. Was it doubled with harmony ? I think if you could get it EQ'd and sitting more in the pocket , it would make a Big difference in the overall sound. That being said .. I Really did enjoy it mark
  2. Great performance Nick ! This one glued together nicely. Very effective build up and release. I honestly cant see how you keep up with all of the synths at the same time. Very impressive! I would imagine you've also got cable management down to a fine art. Enjoyed it .. mark
  3. Try "pulse" in the Pro Channel "one knob" effects. It's pretty effective , but without a control for the volume of the effect. The workaround for that is to slide it under a duplicate of the track without the effect. There is also a tremolo unit in the TH3 guitar amp sim with full control. Sometimes just a portion of a clip with the "pulse" is cool. mark
  4. Jimbo , Too much for me to just to learn the audio side. I envy you and everyone elses video skills .. mark
  5. I agree with Treesha ^^ Cool. Awesome video and just the right length for a "pull you in" trailer. I liked the way her lips moved with the vibrato. Now you are up to 2. Enjoyed it .. mark
  6. Steve , this is an Amazing production. Great work on the keys . I am hearing a slight click or pop I think produced by the bass at 2:41 , 2:43 and a minor one just before that. Bear in mind this was an earbud listen on a laptop. Thanks for posting the history of the conflict. I've always been confused about it and after reading the first half , it's not a lot clearer. I'll read it to the end a couple of times and see if it becomes clearer. There is a Lot to take in to see the Big picture. I Very much enjoyed the production. mark

Beautiful and Well presented song .. Your talent for hitting this smooth gene , is always Amazing and somewhat confusing for me. I guess it's a lot of different little things you do , including the big changes in sections that somehow keep the same vibe going. Nice fade out as well . I Really Like this one . Always a pleasure .. mark
  8. Great collaboration ! There sure is a Lot of cool stuff in this one. I Really liked the funk guitar sections and the mix sounded nice , even without my decent headphones on this laptop. Excelllant job. mark
  9. Yes ^^ Send your metronome to an aux track instead of the metronome bus. Arm the aux track and record it. . It then can be manipulated like any other track with EQ , FX automation etc .. There's a few times that I've used sounds like the tamborine that really need to be nudged a little earlier to sound correct.

Very Strong emotion evoking sax. Loved all of the production . Tasty guitars as well. Loved it .. mark
  11. Rex , Nice Smooth intro.. I do think you could get your vocals a little more up front. I think the vox volume could come up a little but , mainly think it's a little "reserved" sounding. Maybe just some fx adjustment would do it. Great vibrato on your held out sections ! I'd also like to hear some driving higher vocals , instead of the low spoken sections .. First listen , first impressions. I did Really enjoy it .. mark
  12. Glenn , Very Cool song. You did a great job with the synth voices , Very convincing. I agree with @treesha . More cowbell , or at least "some" cowbell. Interesting , I think the female vocal when it comes in , actually sounds like Treesha. Nice one .. mark
  13. Hello Paul , The entire mix sounds much tighter now and the instrument levels sound Good to me. I believe the dynamics sound way better also. That normally doesn't happen for me at the mastering stage , with things getting boosted and compressed. I think you did a superb job finishing this one up and it sounds mainstream. Enjoyed it again .. mark
  14. Thanks Bruce. I'll look at the backing vocals closer. Good ears , the SoundCloud version hasn't been updated to the revised mix yet. I guess the remix 1 was an improvement. Having a free account at SoundCloud , I can't update the mix without completely deleting the song. Lately Ive been doing my back and forth mixes on SoundClick and posting to SoundCloud when I'm satisfied . SoundClick also streams at a higher bit rate . mark
  15. Cool song Paul. I was surprised by your vocal range ! Great guitar playing and tone . I especially liked the section around 2:16 , It seemed to have a Tom Petty (ish) quality. Very Nice work as usual Enjoyed the listen .. mark
  16. @DeeringAmps Thanks Tom. I brought the vocals up 1 db in the intro verse , and 1.5 db to the end. I've been steadily lowering them thinking I was too loud. I lowered the piano 3 db during the cello break. I think it sounds a lot cleaner now. Thanks for the direction ! After 2 versions of this song I've lost some perspective. @Tim Smith Appreciate it. I too was feeling the crispness especially on the lead vox. I lowered the highs a little and attempted some de-essing. I also tweeked the mastering EQ a little. Not having many playback options , it's nice to hear suggestions from someone not so close to a mix. @KSband Thank You for the listen and commenting. The link now reflects remix 1. I'll continue to remix until I think it's done. Thank You .. mark
  17. Hello , we decided to do 2 versions of this song. This one is the "chilled" version with cellos , piano and synths and a different electric break. Any suggestions , especially volume wise as far as the vox and breaks would be helpful. When this one is done , it will also be renamed before releasing . Subvibe surprised me with this mix . I thought it would be a good one for cellos. Thanks for your time and any comments , crits and suggestions .. mark The link now reflects Remix #2 https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14664184
  18. I Really liked the pristine highs in this. Very nice EQ wise. I think a few of the electric guitar note stabs could be tamed a little. Several of the changing different sections could be the main theme in completely different songs. I didn't have a problem jumping to the fast tempo parts and Really liked them. Maybe cross fading into some of them would also be nice. I think you could lose the section @noynekker mentioned and not hurt the song at all. I also think a little silence before the song starts and a longer fade out would be nice. All in all a Very Impressive production. Actually I Loved it .. mark
  19. Sweet .. I can't wait to hear where this goes. I Loved the choruses and the transition into them. Enjoyed it .. mark
  20. It was a question . Sometimes , things get changed without you changing them.
  21. You sure had my head bobbing with this one. Great party tune. Welcome to the forum ! Hope to hear more from you. Enjoyed it. mark
  22. Hey Keith , I loved the tremolo guitars and your vocal mix. Entire mix sounds nice ! When you get time check out "Pancake" . It's a free auto pan vst with an adjustable preset called "slow walker". It works perfect for center panned lead breaks like the one in this song. For some reason sounds way better than automating the pan yourself and sounds better than the guitar being static panned to center. Enjoyed the song again .. mark
  23. Hello Guys , @hsmusic Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment. Thanks Bruce. The "marked guitars" comment may lead to a new song title.? @Lynn Wilson We both have appreciated your support and comments on our collabs and seperate songs . @paulo I appreciate that. I've found that not much sounds good on my lappy without decent headphones. @garybrun Very nice to hear from you! I know how busy you've been and still offered to do a remix. Files are sent. This one has made it back and forth from the exotic state of Alabama to the Netherlands and now Norway. I love the internet. We'll appreciate any further comments or crits , but I won't bump the song up untill Gary works his magic. Thanks mark
