Saxophone Explorations - Freebie | Made for Kontakt Player
Technostica replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Spot on. This is more Albert Ayler than Kenny G based on the description: "Saxophone Explorations is a unique sample library for Kontakt Player. Featuring abstract and aleatoric saxophone textures combined with a custom modular effects rig performed by virtuoso saxophonist and artist, Jay Reynolds, It is sublime, evolving and intense.". -
Orchestral Tools.

I don't like it when software companies only offer a subscription with no option to buy. As for non software services that I pay for monthly such as Netflix, I am glad they offer such things as the cost of buying Netflix the company outright, just to stream the odd film would be prohibitive. It would be cheaper to actually buy the rights for each film that I watch than to buy Netflix. The real downside to buying Netflix though is that it would reduce the money available to pay my monthly GAS bill.

I think that with version 14 they finally stopped offering a HDD boxed product, even in Europe. It was never bundled with an SSD.

Focusrite - Massive 50% off Ableton Live 11 Suite
Technostica replied to Niky Serrano's topic in Deals
Comparing Reaper and the Artist version of Studio One with the Suite version of Ableton Live is not a direct comparison. At least compare versus the Standard version of Ableton. I don't use Suite but it doesn't get a paid upgrade that often but it does get a lot of free updates for a number of years. It's been about 4 years between paid upgrades in recent years, so not that expensive per annum. Showing as £269.50 for me. -
Komplete discounts: 10% = sneeze. 50% = orgasm. >60% = tantric multiple orgasms. Don't short change yourself.

The summer sale is about 9 months after a new version is released so they don't skip it in the summer sale. They do skip having it in a sale between the release and the summer sale though.

Amazing instrument. Only heard one played once I think and that was 40 years ago by Tony Levin with King Crimson. Fantastic band on the Discipline album and tour.

No misunderstanding this end, it was perfectly clear what you are offering. I do know how TT 'licences/redemption codes' work as I have bought them from 3rd parties many times. To reiterate, it was clear that what you are offering is legitimate, that wasn't my query. I wanted to clarify what the rules are for offering genuine licences for sale or trade here. Good luck with the sales.
-
So is it allowed to sell legitimate licences on this forum? There's no formal thread or sub forum as per KVR etc, so I assumed it isn't allowed. I don't have plans to sell anything but I have a bunch of freebies that I plan to dispose of at some point.

The free stuff I have from them are all NFR; I have Quadravox and the full H9 Bundle. If you look in the ilok app it will confirm the status. I enjoyed Quadravox when I installed it and plan to use it more. I also have MHarmonizerMB as part of a bundle and don't recall ever using it. That's the problem I find when buying large bundles; there are 36 plugins in MCreativeFXBundle.

MEGA-20-OFF plugin alliance 20 usd voucher RESET - used it AGAIN
Technostica replied to Kreveta Puket's topic in Deals
No, this is only the 2nd reset, so the third usage. -
I'm really pleased for all the people that would have taken a big hit on this. At least they have the choice now on how they wish to proceed.

8DIO Misfit Bundle for only $30 - Ultra Flash Sale
Technostica replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Very handy for arranging Tom Waits tunes for kids up to the age of five. -
I think they are all the same price via the glitch, so the higher the usual price the better the deal, with the Perc being a standout. Some are cheaper to buy in the normal way.
-
Exactly. If you could pay £10 a month and get access to 90% or whatever percentage it is Spotify offer, of ALL plugins, regardless of the vendor, including new releases, the take up would be tremendous. Can you imagine how overwhelming that would be though! But to get the equivalent of what Spotify offer in terms of market coverage, would cost over £300 a month easily. Plus with music, you can typically buy it outright if you want to.

This is ridiculous. I bet they are massively losing margin on some sales but gaining a lot of new sales at the same time that they otherwise wouldn't have made. They will gain a lot of goodwill for letting this continue. All the goodwill has deserted Waves and gone to CineSamples.

I use Flux Scotty a lot on vocals as it gives everything a Scottish accent.

Isn't it a compressor, unlike the other two? -
You have probably added the wrong bundle, so try this one: https://store.cinesamples.com/bundles/the-everything-bundle

Presumably, WUP still gives you an extra license, so not completely wasted for those that bought it for that. Do they mention how many activations you get with the sub? I couldn't see any mention which I take as a bad sign. The only upside is that you can still sell your licences which still have WUP. I have a few , so after fees that might add up to a whopping $10, or a WUPing ten bucks.

People here are anti music production software subscriptions which is very different. I have an Office 365 sub because it gives me OneDrive, plus I can install it on 5 devices and share it with up to 5 other people. I pay about £35-40 per year and share it with 3 other people and use 3TB of OneDrive. If Waves do a £40 a year deal which can be shared amongst six people, with five activations each, I think some people would put the pitchforks down!

RAM and NAND chip prices aren't like most PC parts as they are traded commodities. So they tend to fluctuate in both directions like other commodities such as oil and wheat etc, due to there being a market to trade them. The market is for the chips only and not the finished sticks or drives. There has been a large oversupply of both chip types since roughly the middle of last year, so these price drops have been well signposted. The reports are saying that prices will continue to fall until the oversupply has been corrected. It's hard to say when that will be as it depends on demand (the economy!) and how aggressive the manufacturers are in managing or even reducing supply. At least one manufacturer has said they will reduce supply; not sure if that was for NAND or RAM or both! There are only a handful of companies making both types of chips in volume, so the volatility can be induced by the actions of just one company. To be clear, many sellers of RAM sticks and SSDs buy the raw chips made by the handful of chip manufacturers. https://www.dramexchange.com/
