  1. I did that as it was recommended by Peter from IKM - but who knows
  2. I had to quit the DAW - deauthorize S2 AND S1 - then custom shop > 'restore purchases' - just doing S2 didn't work for me ?
  3. true - not exactly random but it didn't ask (and didn't say) and it's not where any of my other content is installed so I had to check the paths in the plugin to find it...then move it where I wanted. the 'three dot menu' in the product manager points to the download folder not the install folder ? anyway multiple cubase crashes (and dmp files) later (win10/vst3) I'm gonna hang fire before using further.
  4. I think I'll wait for the mess to get fixed up before downloading Syntronik 2 CS or upgrading. edit - I didn't wait ! it installs the CS soundpack into a random /users/public/public_documents folder (without asking !!) in case you were looking for it like I was. and crashed cubase oh well......
  5. Also if you own any other Liquidsonics or Reverb Foundry product you get stackable discount codes. if you own a lot of them then the price of this new reverb becomes ridiculously cheap.
  6. I've said it before but I'll say it again - try everyplugin.com - drop Koby an email
  7. ahh that was it - the 12 Days.......and hitting refresh refresh refresh refresh (timeout) refresh refresh refresh - etc
  8. also worth checking the upgrade page on your waves account - sometimes it's cheaper to upgrade your bundle than to WUP - not sure if that's true in this instance....but easy to check....and again, resellers are often cheaper than buying direct from Waves.
  9. I was just wondering when that was going to happen
  10. you contact everyplugin.com and get a quote from them for WUP - it might make the question redundant.
  11. you have to be careful with WUP - no point in WUPing without a plan - otherwise you might just be throwing money away. Waves don't to update the old stuff in any meaningful way...although they've announced M1 support if that matters to you. Sometimes it's cheaper to upgrade to another bundle than it is to WUP also never WUP via waves - use a reseller (everyplugin.com!) (where is @Fleer?)
  12. are we still due another freebie for BF - I'm sure I signed up for something ?
  13. just reporting back on the price hike. it wasn't T&S that caused the price increase - apologies for pointing the finger at them. They are definitely back on my Christmas card list...and my black Friday list too. I would still ALWAYS suggest that it's worth shopping around when looking for the best price and ALWAYS drop Koby at everyplugin.com an email.......you'll very rarely regret it. Your wallet/purse will thank you too . Bear in mind that not all his deals are listed on his website.
  14. yes and everyplugin back to $99 - I wonder if T&S cried foul - apologies if they did as I baited them. I'll see if I can find out what happened.....and I'll report back if it was T&S, if so they will definitely be removed from my christmas card list.
  15. not a shame for us, we like it ........give it a try - you might like it too ? ?
  16. as mentioned previously - SplitEQ much cheaper elsewhere thanks Larry, Pseudopop and Nick Blanc (this is the DEALS forum)
  17. you can activate on 2 computers but only use on one computer at once ...ie you can't run 2 instances of cubase. they are planning to switch off the elicenser server - and when that happens whatever is left on the dongle stays.....no moving and probably/possibly no upgrade path from those licences either. If the dongle breaks the licence is gone - irretrievably. Steinberg are stopping selling elicencers and 3rd party vendors (VSL etc) are moving to other solutions (eg ilok)
  18. I think this change is pretty bad basically it's the same licensing model as the new BFD3 - and look about what happened there ! What they've done is instigate a backdoor 30 day subscription but with the payment upfront. You never actually get a full time license. You need to log in every 30 days to get your subscription updated otherwise the software stops working. If for any reason their servers are offline then your software will be disabled and you're out of luck. What's worse is that they are planning to retire the elicenser servers so that it will be impossible to move any licences left on them - it's also looking likely that when that happens those licences will be unable to upgraded. They become 'invisible' to Steinberg. Basically they will freeze them until the elicenser breaks or disappears...and when that happens there is no support. I'm not sure who thought that was a good idea ? Read the FAQ and decide for yourself of course but I'm really not impressed.
  19. btw - it's still badly broken. You may want to visit the support forum (if you can find it!) before spending any money question: will it get fixed ? answer: InMusic
  20. simon

    IK MAX Deals!

don't we all own everything from IKM now ?
  21. the short answer is no - but still worth adding to your account IMO - who knows maybe there will be some upgrade deal or something later......
  22. I love eventide stuff but $99 for an eq puts it in 'difficult' pricing territory for me. Certainly too much for an impulse purchase......$50 maybe
  23. I thought you'd mentioned that you weren't doing your sales post this year - great news if you are .....
  24. yes - it seems to be live now...and absolutely worth getting
