I think the Augmented Grand Piano is an interesting alternative for Noire, as it also combines a regular with a felt version, albeit a Steinway D (while Noire’s is a Yamaha grand if I’m not mistaken).
I think Noire sounds much better - if I had to pick one it would be Noire.

would I need this even if it was free?
once you open that door where will it end ?
Before you know it you will just select a reduced and great working subset of all the plugins you own, which will streamline your workflow..... then really focus on making some great music instead of worrying about missing out stuff you don't really want and will never use. That sounds awful and goes against everything this forum stands for.
Seriously, I quite like it but it's going to get used once, on one track, that I could have used another random VSTi on. It's sounds lovely but really not an 'essential' plugin IMO

it's ok - we've got larry
also those prices aren't actually correct - they don't allow for the freely available voucher codes. Worth reading the thread before you post
JRR - forum (or sometimes group)
AD - depends but at the moment it's FALL22
it also get more complicated because I'm in the UK - so plugin boutique would show a price in UK £ which would also include local VAT (tax) - making it even more expensive
TLDR: it's ok I'm with Larry

I guess there´s hope for Transformer on sale soon too
SSL-Fusion 1HF Compressoryes, they are doing one of the fusion range per week - we've already had/have
vintage drive
violet EQ
HF compressor
so just Transformer and Stereo Image to go ....although Stereo Image has been on sale at 34.99 previously

So just asking for a friend... do we really need this?
For me it was only 29 euro - and I like Arturia as a company - the products are good and upgrades a reasonable price.
They tend to credit you with any extra purchases you've made when/if you upgrade a bundle so I'm happy to give them some money
LOTS (most?) companies don't seem to do this (NI, I'm looking at you!)

it's fractionally more expensive at AudioDeluxe but you get AD bucks, which I think maybe double at the moment (well I got 1.57 this morning on this plugin which seemed more than normal?) - so it works out cheaper if you are collecting the set - plus they are doing a UVI piano giveaway if you care about that kinda thing.

Larry
it's really great to see you back - not for the deals, that's just a bonus. It wasn't quite the same without you - and it's good to know you're ok. And don't worry, we're all feeling old nowadays

Hey Larry,
Hope all is well.
Is anyone here using Nuendo?yes - although for some unknown reason I tend to do most stuff in cubase.

It's terrible with their product portal or account overview! I could download the Nectar 3 Plus installer, but not the Ozone 9 Advanced one (nothing happens). And also with the offline installations I have had several problems lately, but it's strange its not the same for all products and it changes time by time. I don't understand that this happens at the world's most renowned post production company!
I agree it's not the best software portal thing in the world (why does it insist on keeping on running in the background when you've tried to close it ?) but has always worked ok for me. Generally a bit klunky though.
you can still download from:
https://www.izotope.com/en/products/downloads.html
I think....although you might need to be logged in ?

Do folks really use everything in the KCE? If so, what's the main attraction over and above the Standard edition?
I suppose it's just because you get much more content and the price difference isn't always that much.
Last time I went from K12 ultimate to K13 CE. That gave me quite a few extra bits that I wouldn't have got from K13 ultimate. The Cremona strings for example, which are excellent. You can do a compare on the various versions on the NI website.
This time I don't see a huge amount that I want in K14 CE so I'm happy to wait for the upgrade price to be much more attractive.

Oddly enough I can't find any discernable differences in graphic quality between Kontakt 6 and Kontakt Player 7. See the attached image below. Where are the much touted graphic improvements? Interesting that my libraries requiring full Kontakt are loading just fine into Kontakt Player 7.
I believe the only difference is in the browser - not in Kontakt itself !
are your 'requiring full kontakt' libraries timing out after 20 minutes ?
-
Kontakt 7 player is already available in Native Access - anyone tried it yet ?

Thanks for taking the time to downvote me then telling me why.
You do care that I say what? That I don't like them?
"classy ", man, is just an expression, don't take it to heart man.I am just expressing that I really really really don't like them.
Whatever, now I know why Larry called it quits, lol.You flagged that I'd given you a thumbs down. You didn't seem to understand why, so I spelt it out.
Unlike you, I don't find AIDS particularly funny - and I really don't care if it's "just an expression", maybe if you are 12 years old it's 'cool' ?
And you actually don't know why Larry "called it quits" as he had more respect for other people. Either way I'm not sure I find your crass contribution quite as valuable as his input.
Rest assured I won't take it to heart.
LOL

they claim this works with the free player but I can't see how it does without a serial number ?
-
Spitfire are getting a bit of a reputation (well they are here at least
) of releasing stuff that's quite buggy....and they aren't keen to provide updates/fixes. I've been bitten a few times on this.
That wouldn't be so bad if they weren't so bloomin' expensive.
Hence I'm sitting this one out.

did you try emailing support - they might be able to assist ?

Very Weird Stuff Going On.
Ozone 10 Advanced shows up in my iLok manager and Izotope Product Portal. I install it from the Portal (it says it's installed) and it's not in the Izotope Start Menu. Is there no longer a Standalone app?
Just saw @balinas post with the same observation.
nope - the standalone app is gone... officially (and unfortunately)

has anybody had the Ozone licence added to their account for those that bought the various upgrades with 'free' updates to V10 ?
(nothing in my account yet)

I am being quoted $149 upgrade from Ozone 9 Advanced to Ozone 10 Advanced on the Ozone website.
$149 from Audio Deluxe and £140 from Thomann so it does not look like there is a significant advantage using a reseller.
Edit: - £141 from Plugin Boutique with about £9 back in virtual Cash / Tokens is probably the best bet for me as I already have some of their Virtual cash. Still not sure if I am going to jump yet though.
I suspect it be cheaper at Audiodeluxe (for UK people) although it's not listed as yet.......I'm sure it won't be long.

Indeed, and for me personally the newly added stuff is very interesting. So much so that I'm contemplating upgrading from Ultimate to Ultimate CE. But not full price, waiting for a sale.
I did that last time - and the upgrade was 50% off in the summer sale (nearly 12 months after launch
) It was definitely worth it for me that time as I got lots of excellent new stuff.

annoying isn't it - I just open a sandboxed windows install and download from there.
FWIW it's 'meh' and a bit of CPU hog trying to play in realtime cubase/win10
EDIT - and there are some bugs - such as the mic channel output select doesn't work
