I should have picked up Independent when there was a killer deal flash sale on it last year. That's the next library of theirs I want.
worth bearing mind Indiependent is one of the older libraries (2015) - not nearly as deeply sampled as some of the newer stuff.
Not saying it's not a good library but IMO the more recent stuff is better - obviously though it needs SD3

I like Soundpaint and it's unique abilities
I have to say I quite like how it sounds too - I haven't got many libraries for it but the ones I do have sound great

lucky enough to get this free
but I wouldn't have bought it - it's fairly underwhelming

In PB it costs $49
yes - but I said £36.95 (in UK money) - depending on country and exchange rate I then said "It might work out cheaper for some"
If I bought at today's exchange rate from ADSR for example it would cost around £43 (ish)
-
it's £36.95 at pluginboutique - might work out cheaper for some
plus you get a freebie / virtual cash / rewards too
(smells of the usual InMusic fire sale but whatever!)

I totally agree with @TheSteven
Please, these are serious issues, let's not trivialise them by discussing them in terms of wether we buy drum library or not !
Additionally I believe it belittles and disrespects the debate to attempt simplify it into UNINFORMED soundbites......and then express a complex and nuanced debate in a tweet.... or even a deals forum (in my opinion!)
Pitchfork politics !

both updates installed fine for me on windows 10
although I get an error message on AT when I try to access Tone.Net
"Unable to connet to Tone.Net"
(complete with the spelling mistake

And of course, I think we can count on the BF ujam 50% off sale coming soon
Most of the freebies we are seeing recently are just about harvesting email addresses so they can bombard with BF deals.
(not complaining
- its always good to get a freebie)
so freebie = sale coming up

TBH as long as it takes to do these Arturia updates if you have V collection .. this update in general is probably not much use to most ( unless you are visually impaired, have a minilab or need more tutes ). Probably good idea to skip it and wait until next update which probably will be cumulative?
or just go have a cup of tea whilst it all installs ?
-
InMusic - avoid (IMO!)
EDIT:
just checked the price ! - double avoid

Do you think adding Komplete 14 standard at $199.99 to my K13U is a great idea?
Is there a better way to get Kontakt 7 and some of the newer instruments, FX's and expansion kits.
if you can wait until next year it's normally 50% off - so you can go to K14U

$399.00 Ultimate 11 to Ultimate 14.
Think this is best price I've seen so far...my update from 13 to 14 Ultimate CE still £449

it seems to me that this is just a lowpass eq ....I like that Sound Particles are doing something a bit different but really, there must be more to it that that ?

Yeah, I mine scans v9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. Super annoying when the only one I still use is Sibilance and ClarityVX (both 13 or 14)
yes the scanning can be tedious
- can you remove/rename the ones you are not using ?

Thanks for the feedback (also, thanks to TheSteven). If someone offers it for $39 USD or below for an update, I might bite. Otherwise, it's been at $49 USD for an update for years and from their forum and a couple of friends who own it telling me their bad experiences, I'm not ready to move at this moment.
yes, sorry I missed the fact you'd posted earlier in the thread

BFD3 is total clusterf*ck at the minute but at $49 I think it's well worth a punt.
@PavlovsCat - one for you I think ? has a good selection of sounds - much better bet than the 8dio stuff (IMO)
bear in mind no VST3 and the promised M1 support is long, long, long overdue.

But generally speaking WAVES, in theory, says you can have multiple co-existig versions.
I'm running v13 and v14 - plus the waveshells (for vst) have multiple versions even with the same 'series' - ie v14.0.1 v14.02 etc meaning most people are using multiple versions even if it's all V14

I've updated the ARP to v1.5 but software pass still insists I have v1.3 installed
room for improvement from Korg I think
