Greetings, I was pondering feeling fragile or something like that at times especially some difficult times this year, and not liking that feeling so I made this song about those moments. Some is literal and some is a bit of my NY sarcasm and I made up a few new words (i think). I used Instacomposer 2 to mess with chords and phrases initially. I like it for ideas. I like that is has drums now. I used SI bass, d pro and kontact session horns, sampletank organ , addictive drums and cakewalk session drummer, new nation blaque guitar, vital for accents, the free Miroslav Philharmonik for stringy layer. Feedback welcome as I was working on this a long time and my judgements may be impaired from hearing it too much ! Thanks, Treesha Lyrics I don’t have it in me to go to war Even when it’s knocking on my door I’m too fragile for a fight Go ahead and make my night I’m too fragile to be strong But still I drag myself along I don’t want to be fragile Who wants to be fragile I don’t like being fragile I’m too tough to be fragile On top of everything I lost Because of everything it cost There is no refund coming back Replacing everything I lack I have a slight bit of fight In my forlorn bit of worn Used up let down In a ghost town It’s all fall down Seriously flimsy Too fragile to be strong So delicate A flower on the lawn Don’t want to rise to the occasion I need a nice long vacation I’ve had enough of this fragile It’s too tough being fragile Breakably fragile Bouncing around like a fun house clown Un- nipotent Un- formidable Difficulty delicate I’m too fragile like a ghost on a cloud I’m too fragile icicle in the sun No port in the storm I’m too fragile a whisper in the wind

Hope you feel better soon ! make sure to get enough rest even when you start to improve, don't overdo it and let your body take the time it needs to be back to normal. -
Plugindeals.net has a feature in Plugin Reseller Price Check where you can search for deals: Search “<10PB” or “<10ADSR” to show only products that are $10 or less at Plugin Boutique or ADSR respectively. i used it last month to get the sonible limiter

Hi Steve, thank you for listening and your feedback. I enjoy knowing about the background of posted songs so I usually say a bit about my songs, nice to know you appreciated it and that it enhanced your listening. Cool indeed! Glad you loved it. I'm going to refrain from making any hoe jokes ?

Yes the music conveys a lot of emotion, ups and downs as you say. Its a moving piece and sounds very good as far as the instrumentation and mix. I too was educated by Sisters of Saint Joseph a zillion years ago ! Seems we both survived.

Had to listen, yeah he sounds like a pretty good guy ha. Not sure if I got your hidden meaning...The song is good, the structure is interesting, the mix is good. Its got a fun attitude. I would enjoy the drums a bit louder, just a taste thing. I appreciate when people post the lyrics so thanks.

Very well done, all your experience shows. Interesting changes. As for the mix, in some places the rhythm guitar got a bit lost in the mix but it was still there. If I was making this song, I might have ended the song with the windup sounds in the beginning again at the end, with them getting slower and slower just for fun. Anyways, enjoyed it !

Hi Nigel, thanks for listening and your very positive comment, I appreciate both ! Maybe I should take 3+ months for all my songs ha...

Hi Makke, thank you for listening and your interesting comment. I appreciate your feedback describing the rhythm as hectic, gives me a new way to think about it. I like the combination of your description including things that might not normally go together like hectic and pleasant and nice mood and I think you got it right. I hadn’t realized this aspect of the song and appreciate your observations! The months I worked on it were very difficult and I had fun making the song and it seems both are in there !

Hi Lynn, thanks for listening and your positive feedback! Hoping my next song doesn’t take as long! Its one I sing on so likely not as complex but hopefully equally enjoyable. Thanks again

Why mix on speakers when 87% listen on headphones?
treesha replied to whoisp's topic in General Music Discussion
I like to “feel” the music and find working on monitors energizing, but i do check on headphones near the end of the process. Monitors are just more enjoyable to me. -
Congratulations and best wishes! Its great you are nominated that in itself is an accomplishment. Good luck and hopefully you get more votes than you predict!

I enjoyed it, ty for posting the lyrics even if very clear in this song. The mix sounds great. I like the switch to female vocals (i think) after the solo and the chorusy singing from there on. A good song for halloween season. Since I have never had the opportunity to say this...more cowbell....

I like the natural sound of your voice, so I like the earlier version you posted better just because I like your voice. I get that you are going for a retro sound in this version with the fx but here and there it sounds slightly distorted to me, which may be part of the vintage sound you are going for. So I vote for the other version.

I was trying to guess what the movie would be about if this is for the outro rolling credits. Its mostly a positive mood piece and I did enjoy it. My internet is bad at the moment so I couldn’t see all the vsts clearly enough to see what they were but maybe another time. I do appreciate seeing what sounds people use, and these all sound very good quality. Good luck with the project!

Sounds great. I'm with you that when I first started liking instrumental music, it could be spacy, but now I like a beat. I think I heard some aliens in there. Love when the bass comes in. When the lead guitar came in I had to turn down my volume it was a bit loud in the mix. Nice pitch shifting stuff. Good changes in intensity for the different parts, good variety and interesting elements. Its a journey.

Sounds great, the mix is great, enjoyed it even if some serious content. Groovy. very well done. In the video a few times your mouth movements don't match the song but its probably ok and maybe intended? At the end, the phrases you posted, I'm not familiar with that situation at all, but wonder if the first sentence should read 'never" where you have "ever" but again I'm not familiar with that situation. Good to see you back at it!

Hi Ross, thank you very much for listening and your comment. I appreciate that you pointed out the things you like about my song and my efforts! Glad you noticed the panning, i had fun with that. I did take a lot of time picking out the sounds! If you think its great I gratefully appreciate you letting me know. Positive feedback is so encouraging.

Hi Larry, thank you for listening and your very positive feedback! I think I am learning to make choices as I go along that will contribute to a better mix in the end. I appreciate your descriptions of what I did and your impressions because they inform me about myself which is enlightening! Bowie/Eno part of my past, saw both in Phillie, funny how the past emerges in the present. Working on one with lyrics now, hope I can do as well! Thank you very much

I would use melodyne to try to align the tracks, you don’t mention how long the piece is but it could get quite tedious if its long.

Greetings from Arizona where this fits right in! very nice well done

I like it! As for the mix, I get that you were struggling with the vocals to sit better. The times when the guitar was brought down, the vocals were more present. Guitar being my favorite instrument, love when its strong like this but maybe turn it down some? Other things I might try, panning the guitar away from the center to both sides and keep vocals in center, less fx on vocals or another vocal track with less vocals behind it, eq out some of the overlapping frequencies between guitar and vocals. Good work and good luck with any corrections !

Hi Jack, Thank you for listening and your comment. I'm glad to know you enjoy hearing about tools and techniques, I do too when others post details about making their songs. I never thought about the concept of the effort I put into making music, interesting reflection there for me, yes there is effort. My thinking about it is it's fun, learn something new, experiment and express something about life or my life but it is very central to me as a person so I always go to it. And it is fulfilling and inspiring for sure. I appreciate your kind words and good wishes, thank you !
