I do remember that was the case from one place I bought from (possibly APD), but not all. But that was a little while ago; they may have changed the way they distribute to their resellers.

When you buy a library, you get a single file in the download (can't remember the extension). You drag and drop it on REmatrix to get a prompt to authorise. Once you do, they appear in the built-in browser in the plugin; I admit I haven't searched my drive for files resulting from authorising. I do like REmatrix, but would love to see a UI update to make the browser a bit easier to use.

I think the REmatrix libraries use a proprietary format.

Could you elaborate a bit on that comment please? I know everyone has a different way of working, but it might be helpful for us who are still deciding.

The date you see on magazines is the date that it should be removed from shelves, rather than when it becomes available for purchase.

127. It derives from using 8 bits to represent numbers where the largest bit is used for negative values (two's-complement). As there are only 7 bits remaining we can represent 2^7 non-negative values. Including 0, the range is 0-127. That sounds about right; the disk and memory requirements would be enormous. 8Dio love Ultra Deep Sampling their instruments and I don't think even they do it.

You could try Studio One (I know; it's a DAW rather than a plugin), or Pianoteq. It probably depends on what the notes are doing though - if they're dancing around, it might be difficult for them to recognise the overall chords.

Thanks for sharing this. I was interested in some of their other libraries. But (I'm fairly sure) I have enough Kontakt libraries to cover the areas, and I don't really want to install HALion.

I was recently looking for a MIDI controller to replace an aging IK iRig Keys (1). I ended up with an MPK mini plus: 37 mini keys, a great feature set, and a small footprint. I thought about an NI one, but it either had too few keys or was too big for the small space I have.

I don't understand either. In their goodbye statement, they mentioned something about democratising music; I fail to see how audio plugin technology would contribute towards that goal. Maybe it's something to do with Meta's VR world (I forget it's name).

In the few videos I've seen, this guy seems fairly honest.
