  10. Thanks Nigel. I'd love to see a ballerina compose a performance to this, some day...lol! ?
  11. Thanks Steve. I will give it another listen ?
  12. Thanks! What a difference 2 years make, of course, compared to what you and a few others here can do I still have a long way to go?
  13. Hi All. Here's another comparison. The song is Ballerina. The first mix I published in May, 2022. The new one is from this month. If you ever doubted the importance of mixing this will show how important it is. Hope you enjoy. May 2022 mix: https://larryterrano.bandcamp.com/track/ballerina-ambient-pop-music June 2024 remix: https://larryterrano.bandcamp.com/track/ballerina DAW: Cakewalk by Bandlab pc: windows 10, i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz, 8GB ram, electric and acoustic guitars, DI bass, arturia minilab mkII, arturia analog lab 5 lite reference speakers: M-Audio BX3
  14. This is a marketing no brainer in tons of businesses and I hope the new Sonar management decides to look into it. Obviously, Sonar needs a way to confirm the customer's age. There must be a service that can provide that data, or, have the customer pay a one time fee to provide it. Also, obviously, Seniors make up a significant amount of existing Cakewalk by Bandlab users due to the free versions. It just seems like a great way to keep a huge segment of the population that is already using this great product as well as attract others. Companies such as AARP and AMAC could be partnered with to help create new customers. I suggest Senior pricing of: Subscription model: $5 per month or $50 per year prepaid fee for those of us over 60 years of age, with no penalty for canceling and reactivation at a later date. Lifetime purchase: a one time fee of $100 with a yearly update fee of $10.

    Mesmerized

Excellent work. Mix sounds great. I'd add a fretless electric bass for some bottom end/pad. It could also add another melody/melodies that play off the others.
  16. Killer hook jack. imho needs a bit more work to take it to the next level, keep 'em coming jack.
  17. Well done Peter. Interesting variations of the original.
  18. Extremely well constructed and realized song Steve.
  19. Yes, the Floyd influence is easy to hear. Good job on this one.
  20. Nice intro. The Gull is moving through life without a problem. Tempo increases to a fast stop, sounds like the gull has encountered difficulty but gets past it and continues. Then a bigger difficulty occurs. Hope the Gull succeeds. Interesting use of tempo and effects throughout the piece to create calm and tension.
  21. Thanks Bjorn. I trained my listening to hear as a mixing engineer instead of a musician. I realized that I knew all the notes in the song but that all the notes weren't clearly presented for a listener to easily hear them. Thanks Nigel. Thanks Wookiee. Thanks John. If anyone doubts the importance of a good mix this comparison shows how much improvement can be done. Thanks Lynn.
  22. Great work. Nice, steady groove. Great vox. Nice melodic flourishes throughout.

Sounds great. The opening is wide and really pulls the listener in. Nice gradual entrance of the flute and then percussion. I love Middle Eastern scales. They remind me of the deserts there, huge and mysterious yet sparse and clear.
