Cool. Clever use of lyrics and your voice is really suited to this style of music. Looking forward to hearing more of your compositions. Well done. we have a @Wookiee here ... didn't know you had him in the boot though! ?

Thanks so much for taking the time to listen and the comments. I do agree that live sound engineering has a part to play... if it sounds good... it is good! (trust yourself) Easy to say when mixing other people--- but not the same when it comes to yourself. Im dreading these implants.... I know its going to be a lot of pain after the surgery!!!! Its not nice to be retired on my part... I have always worked hard... but to accept you can no longer work like you used to do... is a very different thing!

HI Pete. I always listen to the track first.. and then go and watch the video later. So my comments here are based just on the sound track first. I would love to have a go at mixing this track as its the kind of music I like. (not saying that I can do better... we all paint very different pictures) Great musicianship here. Loved the thumbs up reflection to the drummer?

Hi Douglas. Ill steel ya bike ? Loved the guitar stuff- There is something "Vintage" about your sound and also a sadness?? Mix wise I think I would look a little at the compression of the overheads as pn my speakers they are getting crushed a little too much

I liked this one. Reminds me very much of the Berlin Underground scene many moons ago. Also a little bit of Eurythmics... mmm. Well done.

Recorded the vocal to this today. It is a backing track I have adapted to my own use. (vocal is mine and the mix is mine) I have a few tuning issues-- but will get back to that soon. Was thinking today of my influences... and it was my grandparents (I am 56) but can can see where my style comes from. Take care everyone... and God Bless.

HI Steve. I could play trumpet (Royal College of Music Grade 5) but now at 57 have no teeth and having implants very shortly. I can play guitar (12 string) and a little mouth organ too. Been an event manager for nearly 30 years... but retired now due to PTSD (long story but can take it on PM if required) Have worked as a live sound engineer and still do now. Most of my work is for free as I am retired and a lot of it is in Christian churches etc. My son is gifted and so is my daughter.. but I try an source backing tracks and improve on them. The scene you see in the picture above is mine which I made for my church- P.s. Im not a religious nutter... and going to church doesn't make you a Christian as going to Mc Donalds make you a hamburger!!

Thanks so much for the encouragement Lynn. I have a Michael Jolly hand crafted ribbon Mic. I don't think you can get them anymore... its a clone of the large Sinatra Mic. 44 I spent day going through all the UAD preamps and presets and adapted and saved a few. I also used some new stuff... just experimenting really. This was first take. So looking for feedback... its not that easy judging your own stuff! I am new to this UAD stuff and learning what colours can be extracted on different things etc.Ive posted some pictures on what I used for my sound. Once again... many thanks for taking the time to listen and commenting.
