  1. Ah... Hom ose xuals! Got it. Always good to check! ?
  2. Lucky you! The generator below was supposed to come with the house but, the day before I was to get my keys, the previous owner stole it (long story!). The did leave me the $1,800 transfer box though (which holds the batteries and handles the switch from power company to generator). Fortunately, Troutdale had just had its electric put underground so I didn't have as many issues.
  3. It wouldn't let you say les bians? Wow... ?
  4. Cymatics - (from Ancient Greek: κῦμα, romanized: kŷma, lit. 'wave') is a subset of modal vibrational phenomena. The term was coined by Swiss physician Hans Jenny (1904–1972). Typically the surface of a plate, diaphragm, or membrane is vibrated, and regions of maximum and minimum displacement are made visible in a thin coating of particles, paste, or liquid.[1] Different patterns emerge in the excitatory medium depending on the geometry of the plate and the driving frequency. I think these would make awesome wall art! Maybe someday... Enjoy!
  5. Let me know once you're in town and I'll steer you down a few wrong directions I can try to answer any questions you might have! ?
  6. Note that the strongest winds are from the East, but the trees are ready for that direction. Here's what happens when a strong wind comes from the South: My house in Troutdale: The house I had my Mom in in Gresham:

  8. Simples. LOTS of lights and plenty of time to stay inside and play music. That said, before I moved up here I kept hearing "it rains all the time!" and yet, after 20+ years, I STILL haven't used any of the umbrellas I brought up here with me. Don't like the weather? Just wait 10 minutes. ?
  9. Could be the best thing to happen to your mental health in a while? ? Sorry, can't be helpful on this topic Bob. Facebook screwed me over several years ago when I was only using them for ads. I had a separate credit card that was ONLY for use in buying their ads and it was declined a few months in because, get this, they (Facebook) believed there were questionable charges on it! SMH... After many attempts to get a real human to talk to me on the phone (not possible, though it should always be possible if I'm paying money), a guy messaged me and, after a few back and forths, I found out he was only 19 and had ZERO clue about anything. That was the last time I was an account on Feckbook. I don't miss it!
  10. Heh, I still have the memories of when I first moved up here! ?
  11. As the old saying goes, "How can you tell if a politician is lying? Their lips are moving!"
  12. Are these last ones in the right thread? ?
  13. I met Terri Nunn of Berlin once in San Diego at a Licorice Pizza, if anyone remembers those! Great name for a record store! Man did she seem short! Her bio says 5' 6", but that must have been with heels on... (Well, and I am 6' 4" though...)
  14. From what little I've seen, he'd probably learn to play it somehow!
