Since most religious scholars place both his birth and crucifixion in September, other existing pagan holidays (one that celebrated evergreen trees to provide hope to get through the winter, and another that celebrated the fertility of spring) were borrowed. I personally just enjoy the atmosphere of the occasions and know that over-thinking any of them tends to be a buzz-kill. The higher levels of all these subjects are very far beyond the scope of this little forum!

Well, there's only two kinds of music: Good music and bad music, where good music is the stuff I like (quite a bit actually) and the rest is anything I don't like! ? I also had a LOT more fun in the 80's (and into the early 90's) than in the other five decades I've been alive. ?

Sort of what happened to me very early this morning... When I sleep in my bed, my closet is only about a foot away behind my head and... The entire shelf inside the closet failed and everything came crashing down! ? I just about his the ceiling! Not the best way to wake up! I thought either the roof was caving in or someone was breaking down my bedroom door. NOT FUN! Broke my closet door and spilled everything all over the place too. Took several hours to fix as well! Yay. ?

My friend said I should get a 9mm, a couple of clips and a box of shells, but I'm not sure how this will protect me! ?

Will they work on solar power once we're back in caves without electricity? ?

Oingo Boingo was my favorite band for quite a while growing up. I hired a consultant to help my area once and found out he was Danny Elfman's best friend! They were neighbors in Malibu. Ironically, he didn't care for Danny's music, but they both loved B-movies. The best part is that he told Danny about me and I ended up with two tickets up front to one of their famous Halloween concerts at Irvine Meadows (about a mile from my home at that time!). I got to take the hot office girl we all called Alice (because she looked like her from Alice in Wonderland) and we sat next to Danny's wife and kid. Got to meet some of the band as well including Steve Bartek who I kept in touch with for several years afterwards. Good memories! ? (Needed something better to think about! Too many people dying lately...?)
