  1. This was a nice package, but I am very happy with Clip Studio Paint Pro
  2. I would recommend, for now, that you get the free Kontakt player first, and then purchase any of the Kontakt player instruments that you'd like to use. This does 2 things. First, it will give you time to get a feel for using Kontakt in your workflow, and secondly, purchasing an official Kontakt player library will grant you a $150 discount when upgrading to the full version. This is going to compound when it gets on sale for 50% off during the summer sale, and suddenly you're looking at spending $125 for Kontakt instead of $399. Which, if you were budgeting $400 for the software, will leave you with $275, minus what you already spent for your first Player library, to buy extra instrument libraries. It gets even better if you're looking for a drum library because these two libraries are free AND grants you the crossgrade pricing.
  3. I still would love to see the return of old Cakewalk synths though. it would be nice to be able to get Rapture Pro since I missed out on that boat, or the ProChannel expansions.
  4. NO I have it turned off because for some reason my hardware couldn't handle it and would render garbage with it on. If you remove this, the app will become unusable for me. These options are there for legacy hardware support.
  5. I would like to be able to access midi automation lanes on an instrument track, instead of having to split it into audio and MIDI, and then re-merging the two tracks once I am done writing the automation. It would be so much faster than having to go into PRV and opening the MIDI automation pane, plus you get to draw smooth curves of MIDI CC that won't be baked into the track as discrete MIDI CC values, but stored as vector curves..
  6. Highly recommended as well as Sennheiser's DrumMic'a which also sits in the Kontakt player. They are both player libraries, and they both sound great for freebies.
  7. Debating whether or not to get Synths I DX by Karanyi sounds and complete my Karanyi Kontakt collection.
  8. Oh yes, I heard tales of modular synth racks the size of cathedrals.
  9. Not exactly, what you hear in movies as far as synths and hybrid scoring are synths like u-He Diva, Zebra (Regular and Hans Zimmer editions), Omnisphere and Serum. Unfortunately, Massive X had been received not as well as expected, due to it not leapfrogging Serum in terms of features and UX design.
  10. Gotta hand it to them, they make really good instruments that make me giggle with joy when I play with them.
  11. I have Gh'nuhan, it's a very beautiful library, and the arpeggiation engine is deceptively powerful. Elixer - The Lost Tapes is also a very beautifully gritty library of tape-saturated and distorted sounds that allows for some complex movement and modulations.
  12. Just want to drop in to mention that Geist Lite is still free rn and can be used as a Drum Sampler.
  13. I have to wonder how much of is recycled from their Fluide free pad collection that they offered when they went by Sonex
  14. Have they improved the MIDI editing system?
  15. I have a lot of respect for the developer, they do go out of their way to help customers, and their plugins are very uniquely good. I have found features in unexpected places with their plugins, which made a lot of sense from a sound designer's standpoint.
  16. *Sweats profusely* Oh this is perfect!
  17. Really, if anything, it's better if you have another synth like Sektor or Pigments and dabble in sound design, because it will inspire you to make your own spin.
  18. Yeah I have been coasting along with their free stuff, thanks to Ed Talenti on Youtube giving them a shoutout, (Highly recommend his videos if you're into Trap, Hip-Hop and Dubstep music) and have found that Cymatics' stuff is very good and usable on a wide variety of other EDM genres. So yeah, I decided to go beyond the $10 voucher this time and grab the Topaz MIDI collection, Golden Guitars, Vocal Essentials, Python and the Essential MIDI Collection
  19. I've used their packs before, they are of very good quality if you are needing something organic and analog sounding.
  20. Is it me or does it keep putting me in a loop of asking me for my email, and then getting an email with a link back to the page that asks me for an email again?
  21. Now that is what I call GAS, hehe
  22. For a small library, this sounds pretty good, the astronomy photographs are a nice touch too.
  23. I tried the patches and....wow, oh my god it was breathtaking how I can just play random pentachords, walk them across a scale or even transpose them to different scales and get a satisfying arpeggiated soundscape. This is way more than I expected, it's worth the full price, but and it's a real steal at this price point. Go grab it if you have Kontakt Full, you will not be disappointed!
