So I have been having issues with Cakewalk, in fact it's kind of a brick wall that I'd consider a huge liability. I have this project that basically sending MIDI data to my SD-50 with the objective of creating a MIDI file that is specific to the SD-50. However, I ran into an issue where if I move the transport past a certain point in the song, it would crash as soon as I hit play, causing the MIDI module and the ASIO driver to hang, forcing a system restart each time. I don't have the time or resources to diagnose this further, and it doesn't help that only an empty dump file was created. I am going to just include the project file itself so you can take a look at it yourselves. I am running Windows 7 x64 with 8 GB of RAM, my SD-50 is being used here as my ASIO interface and MIDI module. Keep in mind, the song plays fine if run from the start, and only crashes if the transport is past a certain point. TEAR-The 4 Fates.cwp

I'll just link my own topic here instead.

High as in too much on the high end or mixed in too hot?

Rock Remix of the Hatshepsut Theme from Serious Sam TFE and Serious Sam HD : TFE which I previously composed in MIDI and then later mastered. Loop points for those interested in using it in their projects : 151200 4989585 9827990

I describe it as Acoustic Rock, and thanks :3

I am enjoying the sense of ambience this song brings.

So I found this project laying around in one of my thumb drives, and it was a bundle so most of the stems were intact, which is great because it had enabled me to clean up the mix a bit and add some better mastering to it.

This does have some nice ambience to it, sounds like music to get high and messed up on shrooms to.

That wouldn't work out as well, the bass part is what makes this piece unique

I think it's fine, I am just commenting on the fact that it's very common among female pop artists to use i-VI-III-VII (also written as vi-IV-I-V in Major)

Does anyone know where and how can one get SFZ+ Professional in this day and age? I have tried other SF2 soundfont players and could never get the sound quality quite to the same level that SFZ+ Professional had, I HAD the plugin at some point, but after the disaster that is trying the Steam version of Sonar, I was forced to reinstall everything, and unfortunately by the time that happened, SFZ+ is completely gone and no traces of version 1.4 of the plugin could be found. I would like to see if Bandlab could work out something to make it available again. If it is modernized to work with the modern version of the DAW, I would have no problems paying for it, I just want the plugin back.

On Metal Wings ~The Power to Carry On~

Yeah, that might be a good idea. This was a way older piece where I had stuff arranged more simply, I think back in...2009? -
Roland Sound Canvas VA. It's a SC-55/88/88 pro/8820 VST plugin. Well worth the money for the wealth of timbres it offers. Also, thanks :3

vi-IV-I-V Is used everywhere. I used a variation of it myself in On Metal Wings where it goes i-VI-III-VII-III-VII | i-VI-v-VI-VII Sensitive Female Chord progression aside, you did well with the arrangement.

Took another old MIDI that I composed and recorded it via SCVA
-
That is actually not a bad idea, considering that Mac OS is based on FreeBSD as well

Will this app ever see a Linux port? It would be nice to be able to do things intuitively there.

Pretty neat arrangement, but it could use a bit of modal variety.

The Roland Sound Canvas VA (SCVA) Thread

I think this is a fantastic GM synth and I wish that this can be made easily available as an add-on for CWbBL. Perhaps updated to be capable of more than one output per instance? -
This is pretty cool, I am loving the crystal clear sounds.

A remake of SFZ+ to compete with Kontakt and SampleTank would be nice too.

I decided to take an old MIDI that I had composed years ago and had been lying around and master it with some editing and re-arrangement of the bass, acoustic guitar and percussion tracks here and there. Used SCVA, Sonitus FX, Cakewalk's Plugins and Amplitube 4.

I am having trouble exporting this song's buses into Bandlab because of the 6 minute limit; this song is 7 minutes long, having a limit of 15 mins would be nice for people like myself who likes to make long songs. Moreover, the 12-track limit is pretty restricting, please increase it to something like 16. Thank you for listening.
