  1. I would like a return to the former model as it favours lower income musicians whose incomes aren't the most stable. This is actually one of the main reasons behind my recent decision to go back and reinstall my 13 year-old purchase of Sonar X1 Producer.
  2. It would be nice if the option to pay 1-time for an upgrade for a set amount of time is there as well as the subscription option. I hate Credit Cards and that almost everything arbitrarily requires it.
  3. Sadly you can no longer purchase it. Personally, I think you're better off looking into finding hardware SC-8850s and SC-8820s, and supported MIDI interfaces. I personally use a hardware SC-8850 and a MOTU MIDI Express 128 for Sound Canvas compositions, the advantage of this is that it opens up the door to collecting old synths and not having to worry about futzing around with their old emulation plugins. From my experience, the SCVA plugin is somewhat buggy and may glitch out at times.
  4. As an owner of the hardware XV-5050 I would be biased towards the XV-5080. :3
  5. I am thinking that, given that I have a few sample packs from Platinum Samples purchased for Session Drummer 3, maybe I should reinstall SX1P to get SD3 and open my old projects that use them. My one worry though is that it might install over some of the settings and important files that are installed with Sonar 2025 or CbB, and I want to check and make sure that nothing will break if I do this. I remembered the last time I installed Sonar for Steam while I had Sonar X1 Producer installed and it broke Dimension Pro. I don't want this incident to be repeated if I could help it.
  6. I don't feel comfortable signing up for any subscription tiers, as my financial situation is as stable as a hut in the San Andreas fault. I would like there to be a 1-time fee for each tier with upgrade options available, so I could focus on saving up, and not having to worry about it afterwards. It was said a while back that one-time purchase fees aren't available "at this time" which implies that it might be in the future. I'd want to know for sure if it will be, and when.
  7. That's what I had been doing. I have been using Amplitube 5 CS version 5.2.0 and I had been going into the Custom shop to restore my gear, but to no avail. I also realized that I had the same issue with the Mesa Boogie amp head that was given away as well.
  8. Is there a reason why loading the amp head results in white noise being generated every few seconds?
  9. I wish I have 300 Euros to burn, this is a pretty cool GB.
  10. Incoherent idiotic political ramblings aside, this is a really cool sounding synth. The colour picks are really pleasing to the eye, and I am loving the different types of modelling synthesis available.
  11. This is actually kind of a surprise. Additive synthesis seems to be something not many synths made use of, and their 3 flagship synths just uses them as part of their core features. I wish them luck on their future ventures.
  12. This is a good freebie, it's a nice workhorse channel strip that you can throw into your buses or channels, if you have the CPU horsepower for it.
  13. While I already have 3 of the items, the ha•pi and the Lyrical Cello Phrases alone made it a no-brainer deal.
  14. Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Analog Lab V? Have you tried running the synth standalone?
  15. Yeah I found a deal for under US$200 (HK$1500) on Carousell, and I instantly jumped on it.
  16. Fortunately I got all of my software GAS out of the way this February by acquiring a Roland XV-5050 and a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8, which also allowed me to conveniently play my Bass Guitar without hassle, due to the fact that I suddenly have no desire to save for a bass amp thanks to already having stuff like Amplitube 4 and now, Guitar Rig 5 Pro. I also grabbed Opacity and Cyclone Retwisted. I was planning on grabbing one of Cherry Audio's Synths like the CA2600, but I realized I am going to go for an SC-8850 soon and after that, a hardware synth, so I have no reason to make any new purchases. Oh yeah, and also Vital dropped and Surge updated to include MSEG, and that's a lot to play with too. Actually, come to think of it, that is still a lot of GAS, just more focused on big things than...you know...trinkets.
