I never export from the export dialogue or menu. I bounce down inside my projects until I'm happy with a mix, then I just drag the file to whatever folder the final master will live in.
-
Huh, I just checked, you're right.

If you're using the free version, you don't. Those are loops and sounds from the bandlab service included with the full version of sonar I believe.

I love cakewalk, I've used it loyally since producer edition 6. But if we want to have it be adopted by more people, then giving people options on the gui side is a small ask. That's a low bar that every major daw has, except ours. I am grateful that sonar is still here and kicking, but working with the user base builds good will. Good will turns into word of mouth and becomes it's own viral campaign. We should all want this.

Ok, on the cakwalk sonar side, hit P to get to the preferences menu. Go to the advanced view and scroll to the display section. At the bottom of the page are the dpi settings, uncheck that. On the windows system side of things, go to where sonar lives on your system, right click the sonar.exe icon and click on properties in the pop up menu. Once the options box pops up, go to the compatibility tab and look for "change high dpi" settings. Click on that, and uncheck both dpi options and hit ok. That should disable dpi settings in cakewalk completely. It did for me, let me know if it works.

I honestly turned off gui resizing in the app and on the windows side of things. My laptop and my desktop are both 1080p, and I don't need the scaling, at least for now. That helps lots with the text and some plugins. All I need is a way to switch the waveforms from dark mode to light mode, and I'd be golden.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is SOS? -
I just did it in sonar, works exactly the same.

I'm sorry, I apologize, I just really liked your profile name and couldn't help myself.

What a response, it's so obvious you're only in this for the money. 😎😎

What is the deal with Sonar and Next
Helios.G replied to DescendingIntoVertigo's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
There's been enough complaints brought up about a lack of color customization to make it a reasonable issue to discuss. I've used sonar since version 3, and when they went with dark waveforms years ago, I was glad to have the them editor, because it allowed me to change waveforms to what was easy for my eyes to see. I have vision problems, and the black on black is difficult to edit in without ending in migraines eventually. Telling people to get lost is not exactly a way to grow the user base, which I'm assuming bandlab wants to do with this product. I get defending it, I love sonar, but there's gotta be a balance between defending the product and working with the user base that's going to evangelize it to everyone if they love it... or not. -
You gotta quote the original guy I think for him to get the notification.

Thanks for the tips Mettelus, I appreciate the help.
-
So that's normal behavior I think, unless I'm not understanding your issue? Tracks in folder always look like that in my projects.
-
The truncated tracks are in folders no?

Opening cakewalk sonar and I noticed that it respects my previous mklink to my project folder setup in CBB, but it doesn't for the cakewalk content folder. Anybody know why that is? I have a ton of presets, chains and other customizations I've set up over time on that folder. Also, I don't like keeping that on my main drive, I've always had it on a different drive. Is there a specific reason why sonar isn't recognizing the link? Thanks

Just wanted to say that we're an odd disparate bunch on here, but I love you guys. Keep making music!

I reiterate, what you wrote has no correlation to what I was responding to. If you scroll up you'd see someone else said it wasn't finished, not me, and I responded tongue in cheek to that comment. I don't understand the insistence or hostility in convincing me of anything one way or the other. I've been using cakewalk since 2006. It's literally the only DAW I've ever used. There's no need for arm twisting one way or the other here. Have a good day.

I see no correlation with what you just wrote and what I was addressing. There is a big difference between software having bugs, which all do, and saying a product isn't finished yet.
-
Respectfully, if it's coming out of your bank account, it's a paid product.
-
If it's not finished, why is it on sale as a product then?
