  1. I'm sorry, I need to clarify, I'm not having connection issues. I wanted to know what the asian looking letter next to the question mark was, I'd never seen that before on this pop up. In my case the pop up is because I put my rig to sleep when I shut down for the night, so I'm used to the pop up box, I'm just not sure what that little symbol is. Sorry for any confusion.
  2. Go to a computer that has online access and sonar installed on it. Get an offline token to use with sonar from the top menu bar help section, it will say offline activation. You put that on a usb stick and transfer it over, and when sonar asks you to log in, you use that. Unless they changed it, this should work.
  3. Mark your titles solved so people who might need this same solution can find it easily. 👍
  4. Have you tried excluding Sonar and all of your DAW software from being scanned by your antivirus? I did this a long time ago after having similar issues and haven't had problems since.
  5. I think if you fill out your signature like some of us have (check mine for reference), then folks can help you much quicker, cause they can see what you're working with without having to guess what's going on. Try it and see.
  6. Respectfully, I've never let anyone transfer anything for me. Unless you know the people at the shop personally, you just don't know how responsible or not they're going to be with your data. Do you have access to your old drive at all? I'd search on that if you still have it. Plugins you can re-install, but old projects, you should've found those easily, if you haven't, they're not there.
  7. This is something you should be getting from your distributor (distrokid, cdbaby, etc), or your PRO (performance rights organization) or you can get them on your own at the official isrc site (https://isrc.ifpi.org/en/get-isrc)... That said, the easiest path is with your distributor, good luck.
  8. No, but if you post your system specs, you might get better help from the forum.
  9. My current project has a very high track count, doing that one by one is not doable.
  10. Colin, but you can't change the waveforms, like many of us did out of habit. I know most of you guys are used to the dark on dark waveforms, but a lot of us it's difficult to look at, and more importantly edit for long periods. I know I've said it several times, but judging from what I've seen and the last update regarding the extension of CBB for a little while, I'm not the only one with this issue.
  11. Hey fellas, Just saw your sidebar on tinnitus and I had remembered reading something about treatment that's been approved, hopefully some of you find it useful. https://cse.umn.edu/bme/news/new-tinnitus-treatment-receives-fda-approval
  12. Did you see the title of my post?
  13. yes, I've heard of them, but that's not what I meant. I didn't mean for you to get a 3rd party iso. I know a lot of people use it, but it's not official and you don't know what it can do to your system. Try this video, see if it helps.
  14. Hey Jonesy, yes, but I always find the space for notes on the tracks limiting. Where as with a note plugin I can resize it however I like, and copy paste the plug to similar groupings that might share settings. I know it's not how everyone works, it's just how I do it. I only posted this cause I remembered recommending the older app to a few people a couple of times on here, and maybe they were having similar issues without knowing why.
  15. I'm not sure. I work off-line, and it seems to be functioning like my other note plugin. I used to use windows note pad too, but once my projects started getting more complicated, I needed a way to write notes on individual tracks in order to keep myself organized.
  16. I've seen that one, but I didn't want to get their bundle, but if you're into the melda products, that's a great option.
  17. YW... BTW, your rig is more than powerful enough to run windows 11. I personally don't think you need to upgrade. I'd only upgrade if I absolutely had to. Good luck!
  18. Both my rigs (in my signature) aren't compatible with windows 11 and I've been running it on both since it came out. Windows will allow you to install, you just have to google how. Edit: I realized I was a bit vague. Windows won't let you install from the automatic update route, but there is a windows iso that you can download direct which will let you, you have to google that though, it's been a while and I don't remember the correct one.
  19. Hey guys, just wanted to share a quick experience I had in case anyone else uses this plugin. I've used (and recommended on here), vst notepad for years. I pretty much can't do projects without it, as sometimes my projects can get big. So this weekend I was working on a song with 86 tracks, which on my system isn't too bad, and it kept hanging and bogging down on me. I was pushing through it, when I went to write a note down and the track hung for like a minute. For whatever reason, I thought to disable just my notepad plugs, and my track was back to being speedy. Vst notepad is vst2, and normally that wouldn't be an issue for me, cause cakewalk has a built in wrapper for those, but because it was acting up, I used jbridge on them, and still, they'd hang. So I went and found a vst3 notepad app from major decibel simply called notes. I'm not affiliated with them at all, but the app is free up to 200 characters, but it's only 1.99, so it's not too bad an investment. It immediately improved the feel and speed of my sessions when I swapped out the old note plug for this one. So all that said, for anyone who ever took me up on recommending vst notepad and has felt like their projects have slowed down for some reason, it might just be the note app.
  20. I'm not sure if anyone's asked this already, but how old is your OS drive? Is your OS on an SSD or HDD? If on SSD, they tend to start slowing down when the life of the drive is nearing it's end, but also when it is near capacity. On the HDD front, damage to the platter might slow system writes and reads before it fails. Just something to think about, only you'd know how your system is set up.
