  1. I have T-Racks Tape Echo, but not Pulsar's and I would recommend not demoing this one unless you're prepared to buy it. Some of the demo videos alone made me add it to my list of plugs to consider buying in future if it's the right time/place. A quick listen sounds much better that T-Racks and better as a creative sound design FX too.
  2. You do qualify for it free already I believe due to the grace period, but sometimes it is easier to just get it directly.
  3. At least it saves re-registering some of them again. Trash 2, Iris 2, Melodyne which I picked up another copy the day day from Steinberg. "Extra hoops" as in having to register them all separately and different download install methods, or extra steps when buying?
  4. That's a brilliant price for it. Up there with some of the great FET compressors.
  5. This looks really good. I've binged a little too this year on plugins and have ended up with a heap of delays, including tape delays in particular! If it wasn't for that, or it was cheaper again, I'd be all over it (it's totally worth it at this price though). I've been quite impressed with some of the Audiority plugins I've tried too.
  6. I initially thought it's not for me, but after watching a few videos, I can see it could be useful outside of dub. For those making dub styles in particular, it looks like a winner for sure though.
  7. AudioThing: 71% OFF Alborosie Dub Station by ($34.99 @ Audio Plugin Deals) https://audioplugin.deals/alborosie-dub-station-by-audiothing/ VINTAGE RACK PLUGIN For only $34.99 (normally $120), get Alborosie Dub Station for Mac & PC by AudioThing! To create this amazing plugin, the AudioThing team sampled, analyzed, and carefully recreated the original filter, echos, and spring reverb pre-owned, modified, and used by the legendary Osbourne Ruddock “King Tubby” – producer, studio engineer, and pioneer of dub reggae from the golden era of the 70s. Alborosie Dub Station gives you an extremely interesting combination of features, not only for Roots Reggae and dubby genres, but generally for “oldschool in the box” sound. This is a limited time offer you should not miss, hurry and save!

  12. 12 is out, I think you mean 13 ? They normally honour the grace periods well. I sat on the upgrade to 11 for ages and that got me 12. They have changed the activation process now, but I'd like to think that would still work moving forward. Only downside this time, is that you would miss out on these freebies it seems.
  13. I'm not sure anything makes Waves worth dealing with ?
  14. It is a large install for sure and I was pretty surprised at that when I first got it, but when you consider all the samples it comes with, that you can reshape into anything you want it makes sense. My main criticism of this synth is it can be a little heavier on the CPU, but that's become less of an issue as CPUs have gotten faster. In terms of sound, you can get some insanely good sounds out of this thing. If it can't make the sound, it's not the synth! Hell you could probably program a good sounding 12 layer Kazoo out of it ?

  16. New: Unfiltered Audio Needlepoint @ Plugin Alliance ($49.99 Intro Price) https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products/unfiltered_audio_needlepoint.html The authentic sound of vinyl—and beyond Unfiltered Audio raises the bar (and lowers the tonearm) with Needlepoint: a revolution in vinyl simulation. Featuring a full platter of advanced physical modeling technology, it offers a deep into the warm, fuzzy sound of turntable noises. Use it subtly for among the most convincing vinyl emulations available, or push the needle far past realism for some seriously warped sounds. Physical modeling for enhanced realism While many vinyl plugins are content to use looping samples of vinyl noise, Needlepoint uses physical modeling to achieve its incredible sounds. It synthesizes all sorts and sizes of detritus and distress on a record: hair, dust mites, scratches, warping, and more. These are not randomly modeled, but rather accurately distributed onto a virtually rotating, algorithmic platter. Classic vinyl effects with creative, next-gen controls Change the speed of the emulation to alter Needlepoint's tone, going beyond conventional RPMs like 33 1/3, 45, and 78–and even tempo syncing the turntable to your DAW! Use the SPINDOWN button to create classic vinyl stop (and start) sounds. Adjust WOW and FLUTTER, and explore the BROKEN mode to generate unpredictable looping effects and cut-up, glitchy phrases. Or, take advantage of the granular pitch shifter to help you achieve a chopped up vibe without changing the speed of your tracks. Tone shaping that’s powerful, intuitive, and fun Beyond noise, ambience, and vinyl effects, Needlepoint includes other processors to help fully etch out your vibe. Chief among them is a single knob compressor that recreates algorithms from famous hardware samplers associated with vinyl-based beatmaking, and can even mimic the analog distortion introduced by the vinyl pressing process. Complex processing that’s easy to control Thanks to an interface that’s beautiful to look at and incredibly easy to use—plus an extensive set of handcrafted presets—Needlepoint will help you scratch that nostalgic itch in your productions and add true analog groove to your tracks, whether you need it to be subtle or over-the-top.

  19. That's one thing I really like about this forum. Some of my favourite plugins I'd never known about until stumbling across some deals on here and reading some of the recommendations ? I subscribe to the ones I know about, but it's those unknown gems that pop up that keep producing interesting and fun.
  20. I'd say the volume has definitely dropped, but that's also because Lars was really good at posting all deals. For me personally, if it's a developers recurring regular prices (or I don't like them!) then I often won't spend time posting them. Using Waves as an example, but it applies to quite a few developers, if they're having a $29 sale, I really see no point in posting them, as then we're more free advertising rather than helping the forum members get deals. Not quite the same, but with JRR, most of us seem to just cherry pick the best bargains to share. Lars spent a lot of time making posts for almost, if not all of them. But Lars posting them probably does benefit some people who have been waiting for the next sale. I'm just not sure how he found the spare time to do all that!
  21. I think Retrologue was single machine too (great synth though). I wouldn't be surprised if these all convert over to 3, the same as Cubase now when they migrate the license for it to the new activation system. I haven't installed this one, but a demo video of it I watched didn't look too bad, so I'll give it a shot I'd say.
  22. Thanks! I have this via Audient. I haven't decided if I'll keep this one yet.. any interesting trades might determine that decision, so if anyone is interested, I'd give it some thought ?
  23. Better not mention that it also comes with a freebie too ?
  24. If FM8 is still $10 then both! ? I prefer the effects and UI in F'Em. Both very capable synths, so either choice, or both is good though.
  25. I picked up Boz Transgressor 2 earlier for $21.36 or something which is about as cheap as it gets. Biotek did catch my eye too.. I got F'Em on that deep sale a while back and really like that, which is why Biotek seems appealing!
