The game was pretty odd and a bit funny, but I quite like this preamp. Slaps on the drum buss and you can get some crazy saturation, but also control some of the clarity so the transients aren't smashed. Somewhat impressed, as obvious saturation hasn't always been great with AA.

I'm quite intrigued to hear what this is like. The Kazrog stuff is normally very good. Will have to give it a demo at some stage.

I have the 84 and it's really fun to play. It did sound better than any of my other alternatives for that model. Well worth it ?
-
If I didn't already own 84 I reckon I'd be all over that bundle. I haven't tried their version of the channel strip, but I'd imagine it's pretty good.

Oh I was not holding my breath! Haha... I never really expected them to drop it when they said. The vouchers for $29 for ever won't expire soon enough to be an issue, but I was skeptical they may delay to see if people don't realize and stay signed up for an extra month or two. I could be wrong of course, but I wouldn't be surprised.

That's so often the case isn't it?! Although it doesn't say Kirchhoff-EQ is excluded, so hopefully they slip up and release that while this sale is active ?

This... Even deliberately breaking compatibility with 3rd party cables and devices so you have to buy their overpriced ones. Steve Jobs was very open about wanting to lock people in and chose not to be compatible.
-
That's pretty much it. It just about always coincides with Apple announcing a new OS and then developers announce dropping support for the plugins and apps, for everyone. I'd rather they just dropped support for Apple instead. Then maybe more people would complain to Apple or move to PC and Apple might start considering the impacts to their customers. They seem to mainly care about their native stuff they make and completely disregard 3rd party software. I know that was always their ethos, make Macs non compatible, so people have to buy parts etc from Apple only so they're locked in, but surely it's time for them to evolve.
-
I'd agree with that, seeing how R2 and Phoenix were earlier releases, so R4 and Nimbus should still have a while left in their supported lifetime in comparison. Not really surprised from iZotope though.. given they kept pushing them all up to until recently, they should've made this announcement years ago and included it in their official product blurbs, so consumers could make informed decisions regardless of what site they bought them from. We probably all knew this was coming, but I wonder how many that didn't, bought them recently and now only have support for a year..
-
I wonder how many extra years of support everyone would get if they didn't have to allocate (waste!) resources on supporting Mac versions every single time Apple releases an update and breaks compatibility ?
-
If this was VST3 then I'd consider it, but last time I checked it wasn't and they've only listed some of their plugins for upgrading, so there's a risk they might not.

I just got a spare copy of Heavocity Punisher Lite or Lifeline Expanse Lite that I can swap if anyone is struggling to find a use for their PA voucher ?

Thanks Brian and I've been testing them both out and I don't think there's too much in it. I prefer the Boz interface and the TB is a little crowded, which is to be expected given it has more features. Correlation and phase meters are a nice touch with TB, but I'm likely not going to be panning bass, kicks, or other deep instruments where that matters as much and Boz does have a simple button for a mono check as well. The stereo widening, mono to stereo and bass focus on the TB are nice additions, but I'm not sure I would be using this plugin for those duties given some of my alternatives. Boz does have more controls for the delay aspect too. I have a feeling I may end up grabbing Boz, but I haven't quite decided yet. I don't think there's a wrong choice between them really at least ?

I gave GainMatch a demo too and it's actually pretty nice and does have the ability to insert and instance in a plugin chain too, so thanks for the tip. I did still end up going with MCompare this time around though, as it can do the gain matching, be inserted into the plugin chain in multiple places, load reference files for A-B comparisons and has an option for blind testing between all of these like Hofa. So it's like it's a mash of MetricAB, GainMatch and Hofa blind test all for $12!

Hi @Brian D'Oliveira thanks for dropping into the forum to help and also for the freebie. Would you mind letting me know what the difference is between UDW and UDW-LE please? When I made the purchase and checked out, there was no mention of it being an LE version and the email from Audio Plugin Deals advertising it doesn't mention it being a limited version either. I can see they've now changed their website to display that it's a limited version and yet, the retail price of $25 suggests it's the full version, as that's the same price as you're selling UDW on your website. It feels a bit misleading and a bit of a bait and switch in getting LE after checking out. But I'd like to understand the differences before jumping to any conclusions. Thanks

TC Electronic TC8210-DT Desktop-controlled Reverb Plug-in
MusicMan replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
That UF8 looks pretty decent. I've been considering a controller, but I've still been a bit on the fence with most of them so far, for a number of reasons, some being quality. I'll have to check this one out a little more as I'd imagine the build at least is good from SSL. -
Also $41.16 at JRRShop with code: GROUP

That's the strangest thing.. I was laying in bed this morning just thinking, I really need an ultrasonic death whistle, but where could I find one... and then here we are ? I'm not sure how much use it will get from me, but a nice freebie all the same and I grabbed it just in case. Thanks ?
-
Same! There's a couple from WAP that I have multiple copies ?
-
If you mean the code doesn't work on the WA Production site, make sure you remove the bundled freebie from the cart. It won't work with that in there.

Looks like they're going to be free. Very glad to VST3 from them as I really like their reverb and may buy more ? "Our M1 Native and VST3 versions are just around the corner (many in beta right now), and the upgrade will be free, so take advantage of this pricing while you can."
