Just for another perspective, I would use both of these two plugins differently. True:Balance I would use even more in the mixing stages as if the bass was way out, it would be better to adjust just the bass and the kick in the mix, than to EQ correct over the whole track in mastering. I would balance all of the individual items as well of course, but it might be helpful as a quick check to make sure the foundations are right. Bass is often the hardest to monitor correctly, so that's where this is helpful if that is in the ballpark before you go into your detailed mix and then just use it to periodically check as you're going. What the video is saying to a certain extent is true, in that once the mix is heavily limited/compressed the tonal balance can change, but actually the variations he's pointing out I believe are pretty small when you take in the metering. You can check this out by simply increasing your bass by 6dB and see how much the curve changes (spoiler.. it's not that huge). Those tonal changes he's pointing out at a guess are about 1dB or less. I would simply run the mix through a limiter before looking at the balance. That will tuck some of the louder elements that can affect overall tone in and more closely represent what the final master may sound like. I started doing that a while ago anyway and it's a good check. I use PSP Xenon as it's light on resources and very minimal latency so great for the mixing and production stages. True:Level I would use in the opposite way, in that I would use it predominantly in mastering, but then also occasionally in the mixing phase just to see what breaks up first and how things sound when you're trying to push for competitive levels for that genre. A lot of the things that help achieve of good level of loudness are done in the mix itself. In terms of referencing, I personally like the idea of trying to mix like there will be no master and then aim to get the balances as close to how you want it to sound when released, so I would want to compare unmastered to mastered as well.

I have paid out on them a bit over the years, so I probably deserve it not working ? Not that I had definitely decided I wanted them, but I was interested to see if the discounted pricing worked, as there's no way I would pay full, or even half price for any of them.

(not a deal) Is www.lootaudio.com a trustworthy plugin website?

Same I've got some great bargains from these guys and no issues.. although I was a little skeptical to start with! -
The coupon code doesn't work for me, but I only registered today to have a look..

Auth is iLok.

Nice price! I should really try using this one more.

The video Lars posted is worth a watch and covers those exact points
-
I was trying to look for release date info, or any announcements the other day on their mastering DAW and there definitely wasn't a lot.. I'm interested to see what it's like as well.

There's a hearty 0% chance I'll be demoing or buying this one. Not really much of a saving and there are better brands and likely better quality delays. Target price on this is $9.99 which is a pretty safe bet, of free with purchase and even then, there's no guarantee I'll grab it .. well free I may still anyway ?
-
This is actually not half bad for a colourful and in your face chorus. I still prefer TriceraChorus by Eventide and I have a bunch of other Chorus plugins, but I'm still glad I grabbed it. I went through testing some of my Chorus plugins with acoustic guitar and was pleasantly surprised by the stock Cubase Chorus too!

I just bought that in this sale. I've got a couple of other options, but I like how this works and the easy referencing and being able to compare a project I'm working on without having to bounce, like I do with Mastering The Mix Expose 2. True:Level I was going to pass on as I have Smart:Limit and Level is essentially the metering section from that, but in the bundle it doesn't cost much at all and I do like to easy way of selecting reference tracks which isn't available in the limiter. I'll need more time with them to decide how good I really think they are, but sometimes it's good having a few different tools like this as additional checks.
-
I have both and the Smart:Limit in particular is in a different league than iZotope and has become one of my favourite limiters. Smart: Comp I definitely prefer than iZotope and I prefer the SmartEQ too. The reverb is just different and on par maybe, but very cool features and controls. I haven't used Neoverb enough to say much there. I do really like the exponential reverbs from iZotope though. I've barely used the EntropyEQ, so I should really start using it more to get a feel for it's strengths.

Yeah I've noticed often in these sales at resellers, it pays to check specifically what you're after as they might be the cheapest on some, but not others. I grabbed SmartEQ and the metering bundle which were cheaper overall at Best. I didn't check their bundle though, as I had them all about from the EQ! Great price on the bundle. In the end, I probably wouldn't have spent too much more than the bundle by buying them individually, but I really never expected to want them all! Their EQ and Reverb I had no intention of buying whatsoever until I learnt a bit more about them and tried them. These guys make some very good plugins!

Total cart price at Every = $81.50 Best = $82.66 (but you earn $2.70 in Best Coin). Effective cost $79.96 and I used Best Coin to further reduce the price ? In this instance... Math and saving dollars floats my boat ?
-
Overall I think Best Service has the edge with being able to use Best Coin and also accumulating some more from buying them too from the ones I was looking at. Both great prices though.
-
Live at Sonible now too. But the loyalty prices are really just the same as the reseller prices for me..
-
After checking it out a bit further, for the small cost difference to get True:Levels I think it's probably worth it. The reference tracks feature is somewhat handy
-
At https://www.jrrshop.com/sonible now too. With code GROUP same kind of prices.
-
Yeah the loyalty prices at Sonible are often pretty bad.. even for products I own, it shows a price to buy them and for a full bundle where I have all the plugins apart from one, it's normally cheaper to buy the whole bundle elsewhere...
-
I am thinking about True:Balance, but the True:Levels seems to be what I already have in Smart:Limit which I have and love and would highly recommend the Dynamics Bundle which includes it. Unless I find any compelling reason to have True:Level or it adds any additional features I'll give it a miss.
-
The Dynamics bundle is insanely good value. I think I paid close to that, but I was a bit cheeky in getting that price it turned out! ? That should be an instabuy for everyone that doesn't have it. Although they are a bit demanding on resources, so may want to demo first.
-
At this stage, I'm thinking I may not bother. But if something great comes along and it's makes sense to buy it from PiB then it's probably not a bad freebie. If it helped the bundle price then it may be worth too it if I ever decided I wanted that, but I don't think it really does. The full bundle seems the best value instead of the pick x number of plugins to fill in what would be the missing ones.
-
You can uninstall them I believe, but I think the new major version won't open the old projects so it's not a direct replacement. You might end up with duplicates (or more) depending on how long you own them for. Someone else can jump in and correct if that's not the case though.
-
Was not expecting that! What a bizarre, but amazingly talented performance! That was a very interesting watch ?
-
They seem pretty good like that. All upgrades I've seen have been free for me.
