  1. Thanks Brian. I've been reading a little more around it and it does sound like a capable option and I think worth spending the time to at least give it a demo. That functionality does sound handy too. I use Darktable which I'm really comfortable with and after a bit of learning curve, it's quite fluid for photography and I normally use GIMP for all my graphics stuff. Again, a bit of a learning curve, but it definitely gets easier as you go. Darktable I use quite a bit and don't feel a need to replace it and same with GIMP really, but I don't really have a GoTo for DTP. The bundle price seems pretty reasonable though, so I may even still consider it.
  2. For those that use their Publisher program, how do you find it? I've been taking Scribus for a spin over the last couple of days and while it looks like I can get the end result I'll need from it, I'm not entirely sure it's going to be efficient using it. That said, I started with their stable release, but just installed their development version and that does seem quite a bit better, so I'll give that a bit of a go too. Open to other alternatives as well, unless they involve subscriptions.
  3. That's exactly why I bought it. To replace my Waves 3A but it includes both the 2A and 3A, has mid/side and you can dial in harmonics separate from the compression. It's my favourite 2A and 3A and I bought it a while ago after already owning a heap. The only 2A I've used since is the Black Rooster Audio 2A Mk II version, which is quite different to many 2As. But this just sounds better than any of others and well.. no WUP definitely makes it even sweeter ?
  4. I like lots of the IK stuff (and own it), but this makes the IK version look and sound like a toy in comparison. Looks are easily deceptive, it's all about the sound and being able to dial in as much harmonics as you like ?
  5. Amazing price. Don't think, just buy ?
  6. Thanks and I would never have even considered that, but I'll take a comparison to that any day of the week! Actually gave me a good excuse to go through and enjoy some of those tracks again ?
  7. I wonder how many people have said that exact same thing many a time! ? It's actually a really cool plugin though and has been one of my more go to stereo wideners. But to add a little shine to something, or even working with bass elements it can work quite well. I'm sure if they released it today there would be a whole heap of people raving about it and fanfare, but like most things PA because they release so much stuff, some of these older ones are often overlooked. Very easy to overdo it though, but used lightly it's really good on some material.
  8. Virustotal never hurts, but as for source, they're all official links by Loopmasters/Loopcloud ?
  9. That makes total sense and I've had found that before with some other instruments too. I've used a placeholder instrument just for convenience and for locking in a riff and then replaced the instrument entirely. Looks like there was no need to rush at all with this one. It did look like it might be a permanent freebie and it is. "no, Vivace Legacy is now permanently free"
  10. Not sure how long these will stay available for, but with it bit of digging, I was able to locate where they still have the V6 installers ? Might be best to download a copy while you still can if you don't have a one already. They might be Dev versions, but still could be a better option than nothing once you're locked out by V7! https://www.loopmasters.com/cloud/autoupdate/win/dev/versions/ These should be the regular installers here: https://loopmasters.wetransfer.com/downloads/2fac0c15767ef7a96fccc7408cd8f8a320221004112702/505a20
  11. You can do some really creative and interesting stuff with drums with this thing. I definitely didn't think I'd bother, but after watching a walkthrough of it and then giving it a demo, I bought it a while ago. It's good for experimental sound shaping / design.
  12. That's really helpful, thanks I very briefly skimmed the page while I was waiting for it to add it to cart and that's the rough idea I got too. Will check it out more tomorrow.
  13. "We’re upscaling the server some more, give it a few minutes" "Is this offer limited to a certain amount of available serials?" "No limit this time around!" Take your time https://vi-control.net/community/threads/sonokinetic-12-days-of-christmas-day-2-vivace-legacy-free.132105/page-9
  14. It was you! That's why it wasn't working ? Haha..
  15. That was painful.... I love freebies, but I'm not entirely sure that was worth it! I'm not actually sure what it is either, but I'm not going to browse their site right now to find out, as I'd rather be one less person hammering the site!
  16. Thanks Nick and that's pretty impressive in itself as well and you should be very happy with that achievement already. I'd be stoked and it already shows you've got the ear for it as it is ?
  17. That makes total sense to me and I'm very much the same and would say "genre agnostic" too and same with art. Although I've had friends in death metal bands, so I've even got an appreciation of them too in ways! ? Haha.. Aside from that, I reckon there's a genre to suit every emotion in life, so it's always great being able to pick a genre to suit ?
  18. Congratulations Philip, that's super impressive and glad you shared it! I gave one of your tracks a listen and really enjoyed it ?
  19. I did pull the trigger as I was curious about their reverb too. The cost for that might just be worth it anyway and it seems to get some good reviews. I figure that Trinity could go either way, but maybe for some different one shots, or patterns that I might chop up, it might have a place. Haven't had a chance to install and test the reverbs yet, but looking forward to it
  20. That is hilarious!!! Nobody is ever going to fall for an excuse like that from them... I bought Atlas as I didn't want to be dependent on Loopcloud in case they did something like this. I've got enough samples really now. Vocals are still handy, but I have been wanting to work with a vocalist instead anyway, as it allows a lot more freedom in the lyrics and story, etc. Sononym does look good as well. The free ADSR sounds one is another free option for people as an alternative. I did find the earlier versions a little prone to crashing, but I was throwing a lot of samples at it, so maybe it's normally OK ?

  22. Thanks for sharing and that's a crap move on their part. I could be wrong, but I could've sworn I read somewhere in the past they said the app would always be free.. I didn't trust that though and so I never used their instruments in Loopcloud, or made anything through it. I just use it as a glorified loop browser and the bulk of my stuff is only vocals and one shots. Either way, if that's their stance, I won't renew again and probably look elsewhere for samples and they have lost a customer. I will drop them a message on their support page and provide some feedback on it... hopefully they get enough people doing the same and they see sense before too many people given up on them.
  23. The beauty of it all is that even if nobody heard my music, or I didn't share any of my music ever, I'd still be doing it just for the love and the fun, so everything else is always a bonus. It was definitely a really nice surprise and bonus on top though. As for the community, it's things like this that make me really appreciate it even more. You're all a great bunch of people and have such interesting stories and experiences to share. Easily my favourite forum! ?
  24. Thanks Pseudo and albeit not your style, I'm glad you could appreciate it in a way too ?
