Oohh.. the website is probably getting smashed due to the freebie..
-
Analog stage and Tape I've used quite a bit and they've got a vibe. Total EQ is surprisingly light and simple for some stuff and I occasionally use that. But there are others for sure too.
-
How ungrateful ? Haha.. But yes, there does seem to be a lot of them.. and a multiband compressor sounds like a great alternative ?
-
It's like that at times, but you should really use at least some of them ?

Very welcome Kiloteq and I try and take the time to read posts like that from our regulars on here like yourself and what's going on for them ?

HoRNet Graffio FREE for 24 hours https://www.hornetplugins.com/plugins/hornet-graffio/ The deal expires on October 6th at 23:59:59 (Italian time) If you want distortion HoRNet Graffio gives you plenty. Graffio is a three band distortion unit with selectable crossover frequency and three different processors for each band: a saturator, an exciter and a bit reducer. Each of the processor adds a different kind of distortion to your signal, each of the flavors can be mixed with each other or bypassed, each band level is fully adjustable. High quality processing is guaranteed by the same 4x oversampling algorithm found in HoRNet Magnus. Of course if you want to distort the whole signal, Graffio works in full band mode too disabling the crossover and the high and low frequencies processors. The saturator module emulates the classic transistor distortion, an offset control allows for even harmonics generation and a warmer sound. The exciter lets you dial the specific amount of harmonics added to the signal, you won’t be able to completely distort your signal with it but this module allows you to spice up audio and make it thicker The bit reducer emulates the typical distortion of low quality digital equipment, it’s a modern and robotic distortion, useful if you want very noisy sounds.

Yeah that's so bizarre (and a bit frustrating) they can't sort that one out for you.. fingers crossed they get it sorted ? Yeah bundle sales are pretty good for someone that doesn't have any of their plugins, but for most people that do, the prices before they sale with the credits for what you own and $50 off with $25 thanks were a lot better. UAD are still testing the waters. They've worked out that for $14 their plugins sell ?

Best approach with UAD is just ignore them when they do stuff like that. Even with their initial high prices when they went native, for those that ignored them, you ended up getting them at $14 per plugin, or $39 without the thank you voucher. Just ignore them until this bundle offer is over, or whenever they make sense again down the track. I'm sure most of us don't really need any of the plugins, they're just nice to haves ? I'd say this offer was pretty well planned from the onset of the UAD Polymax freebie and knowing they were coming up to Black Friday as a good way to void lots of the active $25 thanks, which for a lot of people will expire before the end of the month. Ignore them and they may add some other offers over this month when sales drop ?

I'm not sure that URL looks very East West related there Lars ?
-
Yeah that's a bit weird I thought.. I wondered if it's because they're not all native yet. The other bundles reduce and they give you no credit for anything with that one. A LOT of the stuff in there I already own via Plugin Alliance which were all picked up dirt cheap and free and some of the others direct with the other developers too, so there's not heaps of additional stuff.

You should do ?

That's not far off the mark for me! But some of the plugins are really quite decent and have had quite a lot of use. If they had flashy designs and branding, people would probably be paying a lot more and raving about them, so sometimes they don't give them enough credit. I'm all for freeware, inexpensive, or pricey if it's worth it, it's just about how good they are and never the price.

I have a feeling it just adds them and then maybe you just use the Update function in Native Access each time one is added.
-
Oh wow, that's messy... I can imagine they're scrambling to get everything up and running well before Black Friday sales! I wonder if the whole grace period thing will still work with the new online shop.. I've always used that to get newer versions.
-
Title needs to be changed to "Not a deal' ? Love this synth.. do not recommend that price!
-
Always nice when companies offer additional loyalty discounts and crossgrades and quite a few do, so it's not a bad wish to have ?
-
I somewhat came to the same conclusion. I'm sure some of them could be fun, but I still haven't even installed and tested some of the libraries from Komplete and from what I can see, there is likely a lot of overlap in that alone, let alone anything else I already have. Great prices though, so it someone doesn't already have other libraries then this deal is amazing.
-
I'd wait for sure. These aren't uncommon prices from memory and BF could be a good one for a number of Devs this year I suspect.
-
It depends on the plugin. The Brainworx ones and all the ones that Plugin Alliance does (apart from a couple) are identical code, so there's absolutely no difference. Same with Sonnox. I suspect it's quite likely the same with Softube as well. For the UA branded stuff which they've made native, as the others I've mentioned aren't native via UA yet (possibly ever?), I would say they're at least on par at worst case with most of the Waves ones, but never any WUP to pay ever again ? I've replaced the Waves CLA76 with the UA1176. It responds and sounds very similar. The Pultec I prefer to the Waves version. CPU usage seems OK.
-
Depending on whether you're recording, producing electronic, mixing more etc you might want to try a demo if you haven't already. I really like Live, but not for everything, so for some things it might be a downgrade from Cubase. As for prices, I think from memory Live discounts tend to be 20% off. The biggest exception I've seen from that was the Focusrite offer.

It's always good to know about those ones in particular that don't normally discount, so good call out. I wonder if there are many others like that on there.
