  1. 99% of DAW's record the audio raw, i.e. unprocessed no affects added. FX get added post record, however if you enable input monitoring you can hear the effects in the FX bin or Pro Channel without printing them. Then you can tweak prior to the final mix down.

  3. Synth stack is a stupidly low price!
  4. Staff view works fine here use it all the time. As noted by @Bass Guitar you may have done damage uninstalling CbB. The foot print of the actual program is so small it really doesn't donany harm tomleave it behind. Did you, @anotherRobert2025, do a custom uninstall if not you probably broke the Cakewalk directory tree.

Thank you Larry, it was interesting to create.

Unfortunately no little pill. I suspect as I no longer have certain requirements on my time that were actually quite tiring and stressful, i.e. visiting my partner, also no longer having a dog, (which I really do miss), mean I have more time to play with my toys. I am also feeling stronger it is now 10 months since the surgery, though I probably have another 2 to 4 months before I am completely over the experience. The toys are also helping, making use of the supplied grooves, in both EZBass and Superior Drummer, definitely not how intended though that would be way to easy, is a cool learning experience. Thanks for your ears, time and kind words, they really are appreciated in many ways.
  7. You can program MIDI CC to any controller outside of an ACT configuration.

  9. Better to report to support@cakewalk.com or https://help.bandlab.com/hc/en-us/requests/new than rant here nno real value gained.

Thanks Nigel, they are both very interesting toys, I do hate how you have close to resize the GUI everytime I use them, I have twin 32 UHD 4K monitors. But all his synths are the same.

    Nice balanced mix.
  12. Is it just my or does the Bass come in a tad late at the start? Other than that it seems a reasonable mix.
  13. If you are referring to the version of SONAR from 2017 e.g. SONAR Platinum/Professional/Studio those product names are still technically owned by Gibson and they closed their Cakewalk store in 2017. Consequently if you do successfully buy a copy you will not be able to register or activate it. You can however purchase a subscription to the latest version of Cakewalk Sonar, (a similar but different product). The subscription includes Cakewalk Sonar, Cakewalk Next, the expanded version of the Bandlab Web based DAW and the extensive Bandlab audio and MIDI loop library. Please note Cakewalk Sonar by Bandlab has no connection to the Gibson product other than it is based on the same(ish) code base.
  14. Your response @bertox makes me want to ask the question, you think the use of a compressed audio format, which FLAC is, is an acceptable way to use audio/CPU cycles in a modern DAW. Especially one that can use 64 nit floating point wave files, at whatever sample rate you decide to upsample to during processing.
  15. Technically your statement is a little in correct. The old DX versions have been ungraded/updated to be VST3 technology rather than the old DX. Dropping the now somewhat defunct DX format of plugins. Whilst it, DX, is still supported by Microsoft there is a fundamental problem that 32 bit DX plugins can not work in a 64 bit OS. I have not seen any really new 64 bit DX audio plugins for a very long time as VST has dominated. We now have CLAP which has been adopted by some but not all. The fact that both ASIO and the VST 3 are now open source should see some interesting development, though ASIO is still a Steinberg copyright. Whilst they have been called Sonitus, for sometime, they are owned by Cakewalk who purchased them way back in the 1990's and the Pro Audio days.
  16. The old DX FX called Sonitus have all been upgraded to VST 3 FX and are now called the Core pluggins.
  17. This topic has been addressed by Cakewalk technical staff several times this year. I suggest @Jerry Gerber you search the forum fir those answers.
  18. Then I suggest rather than belittle and berate those trying help here, by inferring we have not read your problem correctly. Why not report it as what you consider a "bug" via the proper channels. What I will ask is, if you import audio into your project where do you expect, think, Sonar should store it, or do you think Sonar should not store it?
  19. I suspect you misunderstand that "always copy" command. When checked it will always copy any imported audio to your projects audio folder. Unchecked if copies it to a global folder, this is to ensure it is always available to you projects as the original source may not be on your computer.
  20. @thegaltieribrothers as noted by @Bristol_Jonesey the effect is accumulative just as it would be using a desk. In an ideal world a mixing desk should add nothing but that is not the case. Personally I like the N-Type on all tracks and busses.
  21. To report there is a report option on the Sonar page of the Website or you can send an email to support@cakewalk.com

Thank you, simple that is me 😀 😎
  23. Have you reported it? Have you tried a different expression map, to test to see if it just one affected?
  24. @Adam you can disable the quick start from opening. If you consistently open Sonar projects from the Windows browser I suggest you do just that.
  25. Requires full Kontakt not just player. That is between £89 to a £1,619 more.
