  1. Yes, grab the handle at the top to increased or decrease overall height.
  2. When it crashes have you grabbed the dump it generates and looked at the event list.
  3. Is there anything common in the projects, like a particular plugin?
  4. Can you, @Lassi Kangasluoma, open Cakewalk only no project?
  5. @Lassi Kangasluoma first test what about other projects or a new project? Uninstalling isn't always the correct approach to finding a solution.
  6. @AB9 Cakewalk has been fully compliant with all the standard MIDI CC, RPN, NRPN instructions, since its inception in the late 1980's. I assume you are asking if it recognises CC 88, which the MIDI association defines as the CC to use when the standard is not sufficient requiring 14 bits of velocity instead of the defaul 7. There is no blocking filter in the MIDI configuration that I can find to stop CC 88 being passed by Cakewalk. Having read a little about CC 88 it seems to me you are asking the wrong question. Your question should be, does plugin XYZ or hardware synth respond to CC 88. You can most definitely add CC 88 MIDI messages to Cakewalk either manually or via a envelope, or of course if you have a MIDI controller that can be set to transmit MIDI CC 88.
  7. It is a utility to completely remove/uninstall all traces of Nvidia and AMD graphics drivers. Many supplied uninstallers leave traces behind, like registry entries, odd directories. Annoying fluff.
  8. @Bruce Gombrelli does it happen in one of the default supplied templates? If not it implies the issue lies i your custom template.
  9. @Bruce Gombrelli what does the event viewer say? What plugins do you have running, check they are not scanning for updates. To the best of my knowledge there is only one aspect of Cakewalk that can cause a scan. On startup if VSTScaning is enabled, yes I note you say it is disabled. If you have scan in the background enabled and you install a new or update any plugins whilst Cakewalk is running. Do you have the VST scan log enabled, if so you should be able to check the time stamps to see if it has run. One last thought do you have auto save enabled? If so you might want to check what rules you have set for that. i.e. how often and/or how many changes.
  10. @Fernando Costa no, to put it simply, it is the nature of a subscription, whilst you pay you access the software, I believe Adobe is the same stop paying software stops working. However you will still have access to CbB which will still open your Sonar projects, but with probably some reduced functionality.
  11. What does the blue screen message actually say it will normally quote a .sys file as the cause. That is the driver that is failing.
  12. "The Riser" is named in the link to the Dump file. @Cobus Prinsloo what size buffers, you could try increasing them one step.

As ever a class production with cool song writing nice job Nigel and Devine Lie.
  14. Classic Freddy, nice as ever, like you I have a couple of distractions so far this year.
  15. You miss the point, they are monitoring the use of the free product. They are in effect checking to see if it is still needed.
  16. @jinchul kang are you using in ARA mode as a region FX, or as a VST plugin?
  17. @adwsail first post and you seem confused. Firstly, Cakewalk Sonar, Cakewalk Next and Cakewalk by Bandlab have absolutely nothing to do with the old Gibson regime, just some shared code but no shared ownership. Bandlab Technologies owe you nothing. Cakewalk Sonar, Cakewalk Next are both subscription based products. Cakewalk by Bandlab or CbB as it sometimes known is most definitely free. If you can remember your old username and password, then download the latest version of the CCC where you can access all your old Cakewalk products. Or if you download the new Cakewalk Product Centre and login with your, free, Bandlab Account you can download CbB for free. If you so desire you could take out a subscription to the new Sonar, Next, (Next also runs on MAC OS), and the extended version of the Website Bandlab app, plus all the Bandlab MIDI and Audio loops. I hope that helps you with your apparent confusion.
  18. 2. Did you create a new folder? I believe there is a tick box that says copy audio. 3. You can save as but change the type to template, and the location to the template directory.
  19. You do only have one program open? Find AUD.INI for CbB and rename or delete it.
  20. Did you follow the instructions about removing restrictions to the BIOS?
  21. Really wow I didn't know that, which I obliviously did. It is however still the XLN plugin management tool, whatever name it has, as it helps users manage the installation of XLN plugins, does it not? As you have corrected me so efficiently then perhaps you should advise the OP of my stupid mistake.
  22. Have you changed the .inf file as instructed in the article you quote in the first post here? Why Roland put the restriction in 8s bizarre but there it is.
  23. Check activation of AD drums in their plugin management tool.
