ASIO driver 'recommended', but yet Cakewalk tells me 'not to' use it, when selecting drivers in preferences????

Cakewalk says "ASIO' drivers are recommended.  Yet when i try to select ASIO drivers as my option in cakewalk, I get messages that basically tell me to use

a different driver.   What gives?

CbB will throw up a warning against using 'fake' ASIO drivers like ASIO4ALL, Realtek, and other generic drivers that create more problems than they solve. 

Only use bona-fide genuine ASIO drivers from the I/O device manufacturer. 

For ex: some low end Behringer interfaces use ASIO4ALL claiming it as a true ASIO driver, when it is not.

I'm pretty sure cake is addressing asio drivers differently than all the other daws

What is your sound interface, without knowing that we can't help.
