Hi

has anyone tried to use East West Classical Complete Composer with Cakewalk Bandlab?

The scan has correctly identified the files

VST 2 - C:\programfiles\vstplugins

VST 3 - C:\Program Files\Common Files\vst3

but Play is not in the list of instruments

(works fine in Standalone)

Thank you for help

Hi Sylvain,

You may be looking for "Play" under the wrong name when you try to load it. Can you load the VST manager (probably not the right name either!) and find your plugin there, and note the name that it will appear under in Cakewalk? The VST manager is on the menu somewhere, and it's not the one that you find in Preferences.

Alternatively, there's a way to find it in the Windows registry, but that's more complicated.

Hope this helps,

Timbo

Hi timboalogo

I checked everything, nothing unusual, it is the right name in the vst manager, and the scan too.

East West support:

"Please make sure that Bandlab scans those locations.

Please note that the Play software hasn't received any update in over two years, and Bandlab is no longer officially supported by us"

Note that Play worked fine with my old Sonar Pro in Win 7 x64..

And me too (sort of), being born and raised in Montreal, I used to be completely bilingue.

So Sylvain, if you saw it listed on the vst manager then it's got to be somewhere on the CbB "insert synth" or "synth rack" listing.

Have you tried going through each entry on the list of VST3 plugs?
