Editing slowed down but appears to only happening on only one track

Hello!

So, I have a situation where the editing has really slowed down - i.e. it spins for 15 seconds or so when I try to drag a clip. I noticed that this is not an issue on the track underneath it  (I only have a few tracks in there) but when I tried creating a new track and just copying the material, the issue was still there. Oh, and I think I have the latest update since I updated recently thinking there was something else (turns out I just had the ripple edit on, which I had never used or heard of before) Any ideas? It's getting rather annoying. 🙂

Is this a MIDI track with lots of CC, (or more rarely, even RPN or NRPN) events?

It's an instrument track. Ha! No, no it's not! It's an audio track! I'm getting my projects mixed up.  🙂

Instrument tracks can still have CC Events.

Sorry! I edited my response. It's actually an audio track - I was getting my projects confused - and while there are not a lot of controller events going on, there are a lot of fades etc. within the clips.

Is it a single audio clip or many small ones? If you expand the take lanes is it a single lane or many? Does selecting the clip(s) and then bouncing to clip speed it up?
