Loop Attack

When creating a loop with an instrument such as guitar, does the transient attack need to be inside the loop?
I know sometimes the pick attack happens just before the beat and it sounds ok, but not sure how important this is.

I guess the real answer is if you think it sounds ok then it is. I would prefere the actual pick attack in the loop but it may not actually make a big audible difference.
