No reading automations

PInP

Question

hello community

I loose my mind... ! it could be the tittle of a song, couldn't it ...?

I have a great Synth Roland MC505, i got a nice vst2 editor made for it by Hugo Gil... very cool one ! So that, i can work also with my eyes...imagine...

All is ok, i can create automations, lanes, with a very nice work of precise values ... Great !, and all is mooving, sound of my harware synth Roland Mc505 is changing, ALL IS FINE ! !

But, after saving my work, having a walk with my dog wich is a need, cause my brain is becoming crasy... As i come back, loading my project, ...

even if :

All is here ! Just in front of me ! All the same work ! All the lanes, buttons of the VST, are mooving, values are changing, and...mooving... , envelopes are here mooving, etc ...

I can hear my Roland MC505, ..., but there is no sound wich is changing, as i made it like before having my walk and saved the project (and it is the purpose u can easily imagine...) !!!

i dont understand, all is here ! what did i do wrong, is it a probleme of saved project fomat !?? Please could someone u help me eventually ?

is it a routing probleme, a "before and after" having  recorded"  one ? (oh, soory, another information  The editor is only a midi cc generator, no sound here...)

MC505, Windows 10, Groovebox Editor 64 bits VST2, wasapi shared...)

Thanks

Alban.

Thanks a lot to reply; And yes, of course it is enable.

But i'm going to search where i mistake myself...

Maybe i must save as CWT template project so that i won't loose automatioins recorded envelpppes... *, wich are here after reload it but no result for my synth, even if they are  mooving, as buttons, etc...

Or, maybe as cakewalk is reading the recorded automations for my VST MC505 Editor, a loopback is in process... (I'm talking about disable the output of the editot, after recorded it, and only enable, then, the input of it ...manually..., so that it can read the recorded enveloppe or CC...without making a loop... Maybe... a routing probleme in a sens...

Or, ... if in one sens it is terrible to fail, for the moment, in another sens, it makes me work, learn, a lot of process within Cakewalk, so that i'm sure i will find the solution(s) to this probleme...

This great editor for my Roland MC505 is creating nrpn, and ..., i have to understand where Cakewalk lost informations or a link, somewhere, ..., after reloading the project...

These days i'm reading a lot, working by eliminations way of....

I will find the solution, and where i mistake.... With ur help maybe.

So, thanks a lot again. See u soon

Using outboard hardware is much more complicated than using soft synths. You need to be very technically savvy.

One of the examples of this is it’s important to fully understand how you set up the hardware and what data is being transmitted and received by both the hardware and the DAW.
To test the automation is actually working insert a soft synth and send the midi track to that instead. If that works then it’s a setting in the hardware that needs to be fixed.

Thanks to reply. And yes it is one of the way i might look at... Tx and Rx compatibility... Cactus on utube, I like ur work with ur tuto about Cakewalk.

Since, besides, u have already help me about this editor wich is using all in /out of my UMC behgringer 4/4 , so that i needed to use wasapi shared instead asio, and now it works ! So thank u. Process In Progress as i'm used to say... i will find where i mistake about my orphened enveloppe after reload project...

i have take conscious that i was making a lot of mistake about how to correctly create CWP file, CWT, as an example... and so...

Also, as i read a lot the good user manual of Cakewalk these last days, about correctly create instrument track, the different type of  it and, a better way to understand things about all these concepts, as i'm new with Cakewalk, i know, now, where i made so may errors in thinking things/concepts way of...

I will find my solutions to my problems and then all will be fabulous.

Again, thanks for ur reply.
