Some VST's crashing audio

Recommended Posts

Hey All,

i tried to search but didn't found a topic related to this Problem.

The problem is, after recording and editing the VST Amp for tracked Guitar, some VST's are crashing the audio completly.  After activating the Plugin, the audio crashes with a bit of short noise and either, the output volume of the chanmnel is maxed out or zero. In this state there is no audio at all. Deactivating the VST will bring back all the audio.

The thing is, i can use one of the bluecat amp sims and some of the TH3 but not all. Some of them producing the error.

Sorry for the bad explanation, im quit new to recording music.

PS: The problem just happens now. Befor i reinstalled my computer, i had no problems with it.

Cheers

Ron

maybe a re-install of the software could fix some missing bits or runtimes.

if you're using them during the mix phase - bump up your audio IO latency to a high number - this will significantly reduce the CPU load. once you have a track sounding pretty much as you want it, freeze it to save even more processing power. this should help.

Hey Glenn, thanks for your answer. I gonna try reinstalling then.

Bumping up the IO latency dind't change a thing. However my CPU isn't running close to its limit.

Cheers

Ron

Edit: Reinstalling didn't worked. still the same problem.
