  1. I hope there will be a deal for people like me who bought El Clapo.
  2. Do you think Strum GS-3 will come out in 2021? If there were two engines, it would be cool if you could use two of the different modes at the same time. Split them on the keyboard: play strum patterns on the left and leads on the right. Or maybe GS-2 already does that and I just haven't been paying attention. 😄
  3. This comes from composer Guillermo Guareschi, who created the very inexpensive and quite good Bandoneon, which has always been one of the best deals. This is a much more sophisticated and multi-featured instrument. Intro Price £37.50 (£ 50) https://www.lootaudio.com/category/kontakt-instruments/guareschi/the-ronroco-kontakt Full Kontakt 5.6 or above required 3.78 GB The Ronroco belongs to the family of the Charangos, a typical South-American instrument. It is like a Charango but bigger in size with a deep and warmer sound. It was brought to the international scene by the two-time Oscar winner, Gustavo Santaolalla. He uses the Ronroco in almost all his projects, such as “The Last of Us”, “Brokeback Mountain”, “Babel” and Michael Mann's film, "The Insider" among others. “As a film composer and producer, I created this Ronroco Vst having in mind the needs of a music and film composer. You can almost score a whole film using this Vst alone. It’s that powerful.” Guillermo Guareschi Recorded in high resolution with Krystalos Audio technology. Long notes in round-robin and three dynamics per note. Staccato, pull-off, mordente and tremolo notes. A special menu with a huge variety of arpeggios patterns conceived to create original and infinite sequences with an unprecedented level of realism. Chords and strokes in many tonalities. Soundscape menu to create huge idiomatic and cinematic beds and atmospheres. Southern Winds is another idiomatic tool for creating realistic tremolos. Rontoor is a special sound created by striking the strings of the instrument with a metal wand. Effects: this menu offers another spectrum of effects produced by playing the ronroco in unusual ways. 9 Articulations with various keyswitches per articulation
  4. It was a little confusing for me this year because I own The Carnival. I hesitated to get the free Carousel at first because I was afraid I'd be taking a serial away from somebody who didn't have it. Eventually I figured it out. Based on them using a version of an old product for a first freebie, I feel pretty confident that there will be a second one coming. Hopefully they'll have as many serial numbers available as this one. 😀
  5. For the record, I've been fooling around with this and XtraPAK 10. A stellar upgrade. I love the new styles. I didn't get the multi-styles, but will probably pick them up.
  6. I'm still on V Collection 5. Finally they've added some stuff I want. I'll pick this up next Black Friday, hopefully for $100. But I definitely will be exploring some of the demos! 😀
  7. I know, I just wanted to have it fixed in case it happens tomorrow. Anyway, it's fixed. 😀
  8. No surprise, I screwed myself this year. Even though I just bought Ibrido Zero a few days ago, I could not log on to the site. I changed my password and it wouldn't accept it. Eventually I was timed out. I waited and now it just says it's an invalid password. I've had this problem with some other sites where I could not get in again. I am writing them and hopefully somebody will get back to me before tomorrow morning or I will likely miss out on the freebie. EDIT: Fixed!
  9. Also, I apologize. Before shooting my mouth off, I should have checked myself.
  10. Back in 2016, the first time I took part, the freebies were available well into the afternoon. You could forget about it, and then look on a forum like this later, and still get one. But as the years have gone by, it has become harder and harder, as people have caught on to how good they are. I assume this year will be harder than last year. But I still think that if I remember to do this every day (a big if) and if I am watching the last five minutes count down, I'll have no problems getting the freebie (or freebies). But there are some other offerings during these sales every year, that although not free, are still great. I agree with you about day one. Tomorrow is more likely.
  11. Are you willing to contact PGMusic and ask if it's a legitimate seller? Why would PGMusic have one price on their site and then another on eBay? Let me tell you how ebay sometimes works to the benefit of scam artists and thieves. First they do an honest business, selling some decent product to a lot of people. Totally legit. Maybe they are able to manufacture a product very close to cost or even take a small loss on the deal. I remember an iPhone case for like two bucks. This is not about making money on the products, it's about getting a massive amount of positive feedback. Once they have the high positive rating, they pull all kinds of shit and disappear. eBay doesn't care. They make money either way. Of course, this BIAB deal may work out fine for the buyers, assuming the thieves actually deliver and have figured out how to work the serial numbers. But if the eBay seller isn't official, PGMusic gets nothing. Piracy hurts us all.
  12. Matthew, if you are on the site the minute the instant the thing comes out, you'll get it. 15 minutes later, a half hour later, an hour later... I don't know. The best thing is to watch the last few minutes of the clock tick down... and then go! Last year I did that and had no problems at all. The problem is remembering to do that for 12 days straight when only one or two of them will be a freebie. Based on the past, it's been the second day. But who knows?
  13. Just make sure you know what time the 12 Days starts in your time zone. If there's a freebie, it'll be gone in an hour. https://www.sonokinetic.net/sale/
  14. Do you think it's worth me making a video on all the Singles? Maybe the only thing worth doing would be a video on Atsia and Silk Road. My main concern about recommending SONiVOX products is that they are abandonware. It seems to me it's a chance worth taking for $2.99 each for two excellent percussion libraries. Unless you have Catalina installed, of course. 🙁
  15. Long ago I bought Cinematic Studio Strings and the piano, and then I added the Solo Strings and the Brass. Cinematic Studio has always been 100% my library. That's always been my orchestra--waiting endlessly for years for the Woodwinds. Of course I'll buy the percussion too, whenever that comes out. 2023? So when stuff like BBCSO comes out or or orchestral libraries from two dozen other companies, I don't consider buying any of them for a second.. That said, I do buy solo instruments. I do buy other stuff that is not meant for typical orchestral writing, but is more of a texture, like Ben Osterhouse's ostinato libraries and Sunset Strings and Arkhis. Weird articulations, pad-like sounds, and swells. Sonokinetic. I am very intrigued by STRIIIINGS and look forward to getting the demo on Monday. CSS Discount: When you buy any of the big libraries from Cinematic Series you get an email that tells you your 30% discount code for your next purchase from them. (I think it is less if your first purchase is the solo strings). What is great is you don't have to worry about a deadline for the intro price or anything like that. I could wait for years after the woodwinds come out and still get them for 30% off. If you lost your email, write them.
  16. If they weren't available for the ridiculous price of $2.99 each, then Atsia Percussion and Silk Road Percussion would absolutely be "worth" $29 in my book. They are both really great libraries that I use a lot. Having the Freelance Soundlabs NKS templates for them does take them up a notch. The orchestral libraries are perfectly fine for layering under another library. You can work around the lack of legato. There's a lot of cool add-ons in them like runs. On Vi:Control a guy said that it was worth it for TimewARP alone (this was when it was $75. But these are all abandonware. They don't work in Catalina. Definitely a let the buyer beware type of thing. There's a part of me that would like to have this just to do a video on the Singles. There is an annoying one in Spanish on YouTube that is mostly talking. I would like to do one that is all playing.
  17. Note from Alex HERE We're doing everything we can to have the library out before the end of the year, and I have a good feeling this will be the case, barring some unforeseen catastrophe (knock on wood). which includes two demos. Instrument List Solo Flute 2 Flutes Solo Oboe 2 Oboes Solo Clarinet 2 Clarinets Solo Bassoon 2 Bassoons Solo Piccolo Solo Cor Anglais Solo Alto Flute Solo Bass Clarinet Solo Contrabassoon I don't know what the price will be, but if it's priced the same price as Cinematic Studio Brass it will be $399 for first time buyers of CSS, and $279 for owners of CSS or CSB. Finally I will have a whole orchestra.
  18. I know Larry has done all these, but there are so many and it's hard to keep track of them. They are going to be gone soon, some after today. Beatmaker Hype $19 at ujam Affiliate Link Beatmaker Void $19 at AudioDeluxe Beatmaker Vice $19 at Plugin Boutique Affiliate Link Virtual Drummer Solid 2 $29 at Time+Space Finisher Neo $29 at JRRShop And of course, STRIIIINGS is available at a pre-release price of €/$99 until December 6th. After that, STRIIIINGS sells for an intro price of €/$119 until December 16th. So you will have a chance to demo it, but it will cost you an extra 20 euros. Regular pricing of €/$169 starts on December 17th. And that, in addition to the 50% off deals on the site, is BLAAAACK FRIIIIDAY at ujam. So far.
  19. That's also one of the big deals of the season. Amadeus is so under-appreciated. I use it all the time.
  20. Someday I will own everything D16 makes without paying for everything. I really love their stuff, but it's hard to buy it when they keep giving it away. 😀

    UJam Hype

Got it! I'm still missing a few of the Beatmakers.
  22. Apparently you are supposed to pronounce this not "strings," but... "striiiiiiiiiiings." Just listen to this guy. This demo is the first one to actually show you what it is. I bet it will go very well with BRAAAASS and WOOOODS. 🙂
  23. Also, a guy on VI:Control did a post last year talking about what a deal Virtuoso Ensembles was at $69: https://vi-control.net/community/threads/this-is-an-amazing-deal-kh-virtuoso-ensembles.87661/
