  1. I swear that this has always been my go-to library for all my Nordic War Horn needs. All kidding aside, it's got some cool sounds, so thanks BOOM!
  2. They are different animals. But both good. With Toontrack and XLN Audio and purchased loops from Groove Monkee, I feel like I am essentially curating. I'm looking at stuff somebody else did and finding something that fits my song. With Playbeat you can create things in real time that nobody else has. Beats that have never been thought of, and that you could never do. Every time you hit a fill you won't know what it will be. But you'll be happy with it because it fits within parameters you set up. Randomization is very common in music applications, but I find it usually results in a lot of unmusical garbage to weed through. Audiomodern has come up with AI so you can control to a great degree what you're going to get. You can set it up to get beats that have similarity to other beats. You can have three patterns and tell it you want it to generate stuff like that. I'm guessing that Loopmix may have this kind of intelligent randomization.
  3. I'm pretty sure that Zebra is the last Gorilla that I don't own. I have Omnisphere, Falcon, Pigments, Komplete, Total Studio 2, V Collection, Vintage Vault, HALion, and a lot more. So the collector in me wants it. But I don't need it. I need to learn more about what I already have. The sell seems to be: buy full Zebra2 for whatever and then on November 15th, Zebra3 comes out and you get it for 30 euros. It's got to come out then, because otherwise having a Zebra Vintage product makes no sense. So my plan is to wait for Zebra3 to come out and wait for a sale on it. And if it never happens, that's okay, as I may have smartened up and decided I no longer want it by that time. Because otherwise I'm just buying it now so I won't miss out on the opportunity to spend an extra 30 euros and "save" money for something I have no time to use. I'll save more by not buying it at all, because I've already got more stuff than I need, and I just use Omnisphere, Falcon, Pigments and Cube most of the time anyway. I'd rather spend my money on a few more Indiginus instruments, to be honest.
  4. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that they make a ton more money from this series and they decided to put all their energies to adding products to it. Somebody already requested that they take Loopmix and make it with MIDI loops instead of audio loops. Good idea. And I could see them adding more free things to the series to get people into the system. I think this combination of excellent free products and free expansions to the main lines is really smart. I'm probably going to get Loopmix, which is kind of crazy because I am spending more of my time creating YouTube videos than composing music. But I never know which product I get that will be most helpful with music and fx for my videos. I have use ProjectSam's Animator a zillion times. The key thing is that Playbeat is SO good. XO was my favorite but Playbeat has taken over, although I still love XO. And Loopmix is a lot like Playbeat, so it will be easier for me to learn.
  5. I'm not sure what you mean. The email coupons are intended exactly that--for sale items. Like recently I got a $5 coupon to reduce the sales price on Loopmix.
  6. It's not like people haven't done the TR-808 a zillion times, but this easily seems to me the best one yet, and also a new instrument. So much better than the one on Roland Cloud, which is kind of sad. The UVI approach seems so perfect. To do the look and feel perfectly, but then go beyond and make it better. 1100 patterns and 140 presets. It's something new. So happy to get this. One thing that's unfortunate about UVI is how much they charge to upgrade from one version of Vintage Vault to the next, so I wouldn't have had this for a long time, if ever. It wouldn't have sold me. A TR-808. So what? But this is so good. Another library I love from UVI is Beatbox Anthology 2.
  7. It's weird, considering it is €149 ($148) at the Audiomodern site now. https://audiomodern.com/products/ I have a feeling that the price for the suite will get better in stores. There's an Audiomodern store-wide 35% off now, and maybe when the third-party stores catch up to that, the price for the suite will go below $148. Have you noticed how AM has hid all the non-suite stuff on their site? You really have to search to find Opacity I & II and Atom 2.0, and the sample sets aren't there at all. Maybe the idea is to give the idea that if you buy the Suite you get everything they sell.
  8. It reminds me of Tsugi software, like DSP Motion and DSP Action. http://www.tsugi-studio.com/web/en/products.html But they are kind of synth sounds and this is based in samples. Not to complain about this great freebie, but when you start clicking on categories it is a little disappointing to just see "more stuff coming later." I wonder whether they will release free expansions for the basic stuff or whether you'll have to pay. But certainly they can produce wonderful expansions for this going forward that will be worth paying for. I tried to get this to load within Premiere, but couldn't make that happen. It would be cool if it was a standalone.
  9. What I love about this is that it's a vintage recreation, but the patterns are very modern. I love the ambient stuff. I'm really enjoying playing around with this thing. This is one of the best BF freebies I've seen from any company in years.
  10. Per the other post here on Loopmix you can get it at JRR for $39.20 or Loot Audio for $39.82. Depends on whether you have some points at Loot, I guess.
  11. I really love this. A good deal.
  12. There is enough in this to keep me busy for a long time. Thanks, David and Scaler team!
  13. Really? I own everything and it only brought it down 2 euros. APD, with the extra $5 off, is cheaper.
  14. I agree. I own all of their products and expansions. This works in some ways like Playbeat, only with loops instead of samples. As with that, it comes with a lot of free expansions and they'll be adding more. The difference is that they put most of the free expansions into the factory library, so you don't need to download them seperately. But there's already a new one, Blend. https://audiomodern.com/loopmix-packs/ I hadn't been to the site for awhile and there's a lot of new free Playbeat expansions. Compare this to other companies, who charge $40 for expansions and rarely bring any out. For the record, there is a store-wide sale on now at Audiomodern, https://audiomodern.com/products/ All the products are marked down and Loopmix is €49 Even the paid expansions are marked down. You can get all their main products for €149. (It is true that three are always free) I assume there will be even better deals on AM at other stores.
  15. Can somebody explain me how Opus works? If you buy this, will other EastWest software, like Silk, play in Opus? Thanks! PS the Zebraphiles on VI:Control sure are down on this! https://vi-control.net/community/threads/zebra-legacy-or-ew-forbidden-planet.131724/page-3#post-5210065
  16. $79 is an upgrade to Vegas Edit. Upgrade to Vegas Pro is $129. Still an excellent price. Best deal in years, I think. I haven't upgraded since Vegas 16. Even though I've switched to Premiere Pro, I still use Vegas Pro for a lot of things. If I knew that the Boris FX Primatte Studio (Green Screen) would load in Premiere, this would be a no-brainer, but it probably won't. This deal ends 11/15, but in the past many deals come from Vegas around Black Friday. So there might be an even better one, with more add-ons later. But there's no way of knowing.
  17. Wow! The same awful deal they offered on the first day! 😃 No thanks. Waiting for the summer sale and 50% off. If they had just come up with a price that was 25% off, I think a lot of people would have bought.
  18. I just got this email. But I can't get to the site to see if there's a new offer. They say to come back to the site because there's too much traffic. Anybody else get this?
  19. @simeon included this in a recent livestream, but I don't think anybody listed it here. Limited Intro price at. £79, $79, €79 (Not sure what full price will be) Works in Free Kontakt Player There is also a free version available. https://www.pianobook.co.uk/stories/hearth-hollow-plucked-folk-ensemble/ Hearth & Hollow is an ensemble of seven unique acoustic instruments that blend perfectly through Hunter’s craftsmanship. Rather than acting as a composer’s tool, the library inspires composition- a woodblock to craft, rather than an axe to chop. With various articulations that include individual plucks and bespoke grooves played by Hunter, the compositional possibilities and stories you can tell with this library are endless. Now available in the free Kontakt player, the product is available via Pianobook Artists for a limited time introductory offer of £79, $79, €79.
  20. We have a policy now that we all understand. Thank you @Wookiee for making this clear. When people break these rules in the future, let's just tell them about it. Nobody needs to be reported. Let them know what the rules are and hopefully they will abide by them. Going forward, what's fair for one should be fair for all.
  21. I think that Google makes a lot of money from unmonetized YouTube Channels. The ones made by people before they become Partners, or the ones made by people who never became partners. i used to look at videos by a Japanese woman who did Beat Saber videos. Millions of views. But not many subscribers. She wasn't a Partner. So YouTube kept it all. I don't think it's then end of the world to them if there are ten thousand or a hundred thousand people like me who have make content--and now they don't have to share ad revenue with us. But it's okay. I'm excited about my new channel.
  22. Yes, that was the LE and this is the CE. This new CE version is for MNDALA 2.
  23. What's hilarious is that my video got over 3000 views in two days. I'd be excited if one of my videos got even 100 views in a few days. I have videos that have only reached 300 after many years. As Bob Dylan wrote: "There's no success like failure." 😀
  24. Noooo... no funky business like that. I'm not going to risk another channel just to risk getting pulled down again. What I'm doing is totally legal by their rules.
  25. I used to do a November deals post on VI:Control. It had a lot of affiliate links. For the most part, people refused to click on them. But they did find the information useful. So you don't have to click on the links if you don't want to. I'm the only one here who knows how hard @cclarry works. I used to get up at 5 am every day and work until dinner time. Check in later too. It took over my life during November. Larry does this all year round solely because he cares about the people on this forum. So if you are offended by the months of work that @Music Software Deals has put into this--don't go there, or don't click. But if you do use it, I hope that he sets up some kind of way to buy him a coffee. I added Kofi and was surprised by how generous some people were . This won't complete with what Larry does for all of us (anymore than my post did), but it will be a nice supplement. So please @Wookiee reconsider. The forum is for us and we want to hear from him. We should have some say in that.
