  1. Hi Raja, I have never had this issue, but getting deeper into your situation, how much memory do you have in your Surface? Also, how much memory do you have your Windows Page File set at? Maybe enlarging the amount on your Page File will help. Kind regards, tecknot
  2. Hi Chris and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Just taking a stab at this, do your sample and bit rates in Cakewalk match those in your interface? Kind regards tecknot
  3. One question: What drive mode do you have set in Cakewalk?
  4. Hi Alexandre, Try changing the settings under your internal sound card's properties (Control Panel > Sounds > Advanced | Exclusive Mode) and uncheck the two options, i.e., "Allow other applications to take exclusive control of this device" and "Give exclusive mode applications priority." Hope that does the trick. Kind regards, tecknot
  5. Thanks, scook! Kind regards, tecknot
  6. Hi seakay beats, You can change the background color of clips from the Theme Editor, but it will change the background for all clips in a track to the same color. Track View | Clips Pane | Clips Kind regards, tecknot

    Issue with Loop

Hi Tunchelli and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. When making loops, try to split your clips and a zero crossing or use fade in/out to avoid unexpected noise at the end points of clips. Kind regards, tecknot
  8. Thanks, 730819. Nobody hip me to that. Kind regards, tecknot
  9. Hi sjoens, I think you will get the desired effect if you click on the track number. Kind regards, tecknot
  10. Hi vst power user, You are aware that you can organize your plug-ins to your preference? (Goto Browser | Plugins | Manage Layouts) Kind regards, tecknot
  11. Sorry Mark, it's not Alt+Tab. I think it's Ctrl+Tab. Kind regards, tecknot
  12. Hi Mark, Could be behind the Track View. Try using Alt+Tab to cycle through windows in CbB. Kind regards, tecknot
  13. It's just a matter of work flow. Try working "backwards" by moving the desired clip first and then go back to copy/cut the clip you wish to relocate. Not all is lost is if you access the undo function to bring back the cut clip (and tracks to their original state). Kind regards, tecknot

    Cakewalk MIDI

From your screen shot, you have volume automation in track 2. Are you saying that CbB just stops playback or that the playback goes silent? Kind regards, tecknot
  15. Hi Todd, Simply increase the number of steps. (see below) Kind regards, tecknot
  16. Hi Misha, This should be doable, however, this would depend on what driver mode you would be using. This will not work if you are trying to use ASIO for both CbB and your stand-alone software. Kind regards, tecknot
  17. Oh yes, delete TTS-1 from the original project.
  18. Try this, Brandon. Open new project, insert TTS-1, then go to the Media Browser and bring up the folder your project is in. From there drag and drop your project into the new (TTS-1) project. The two projects should merge as one. Now you can save the combined project as a new project. I hope that solves your issue and make the fix a little easier. Kind regards, tecknot
  19. Is this a new project? Does this happen on all instances of TTS-1? Kind regards, tecknot
  20. Hum... It's been my experience that clips in the MV are merely copies and not linked clips. That is, if you want to edit a clip in the Matrix View you would have to add the edited clip back into the MV as a new clip (replacing the unedited clip). So, you cannot actually edit MV clips on the fly. Kind regards, tecknot
  21. Hi Taja and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. I am guessing that you're recording MIDI into Cakewalk. If that is the case, what virtual instrument are you using? Seems it may be the preset on your VSTi. However, if you are attempting to record the sound of your CLP-820, that would require a different connection to Cakewalk altogether. Also, are you using an audio interface in the process? If so, what kind is it and is it the way you are connecting MIDI to your PC? Kind regards, tecknot
  22. Hi Diego and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. The only way to record the audio (sounds) from your Motif is to connect the audio outputs your computer via an interface. Unfortunately, the only signal coming out of your Motif's USB cable is digital (MIDI). As for the VST problem, what type of VSTi's do you have available? Do you see your Motif as an available input device in your MIDI track? Kind regards, tecknot
  23. Hi Jimmy, What type of sound card are you using? Kind regards, tecknot

    Audio.

Cakewalk is actually a professional digital audio workstation software. If there is a weak part in your DAW, it's your sound card. If you want to get serious with recording, then an external sound card is the way to go. It doesn't have to be expensive or a "pro" model, but relying on your Realtek card is troublesome. Also, the Realtek ASIO driver is the worst. At this point, I would suggest using WASAPI Share driver mode. I'm not sure that will do, so I strongly suggest at some point you invest in an external sound card. You'll be surprised by the quality and ease of use a better card will give you. I hear your frustration, but I hope my advice will give you some incentive. Kind regards, tecknot
  25. Hi David and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. All you have to do is set your input in CbB (Cakewalk by Bandlab) as a stereo instead of mono left or right. Kind regards, tecknot
