Hi Mike, Do you have show tooltips on? That should give you a pop-up with the name of the plug-in and the track it's on. Kind regards, tecknot

Old Sonar Vocal plugin strip?? desperate searching
tecknot replied to Ryan Rene Makenna's topic in Instruments & Effects
The only plugin that comes to my mind is the VX-64 Vocal Strip, but it doesn't have the presets you mentioned. It was included with the last version of SONAR Platinum, I believe. Kind regards, tecknot -
If you have any clips selected and then press the "k" key, those selected clips would be muted. Kind regards, tecknot

Is it possible you muted the clips?

I’m still on SPLAT. What will I loose by updating?
tecknot replied to Shawn T's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
You have nothing to lose, but more to gain with bug fixes and feature updates. It's a no brainer. Kind regards, tecknot -
I would suggest using only your USB interface when using Cakewalk and disabling your internal sound card when doing so. As for your headphones vs speakers, that sounds like an issue with your PC's sound card, but I have no solution for that if your settings are all correct. Kind regards, tecknot

Sandro, did you install your GT-100 drivers? Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Luigi and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. It shouldn't take that long to download and install the cakewalk instruments. It could take just minutes depending on your internet connect specs. Would you share your computer and internet specs with us so we may trouble shoot the problem with you? Kind regards, tecknot

The only thing I can think of is the metronome. Can you record this repeating note in Cakewalk? If so, can you take a look in the Event View and see what kind of note/message it is? Kind regards, tecknot

Presonus audiobox i1 and cakewalk- recorded sound off
tecknot replied to Simon Young's question in Q&A
Hi Simon and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. I am not familiar with your interface, but I am guessing it has limited options (such as buffer setting, sample rate, etc.). If this is the case, then your only option, guessing that your already using ASIO driver mode, is to change the Buffer Size in Cakewalk's Preferences under Drive Settings. You might have to experiment a little until you find a suitable setting. As I mentioned, using ASIO drive mode is the most reliable, but you could try other modes if your interface allows. Another thing to consider is plug-ins. Are you recording with effects? That may cause some delay (or latency) during recording. Perhaps recording without plug-ins will make a difference. Hi Remi, Plugging your guitar into the PC's line input utilizes your PC's internal sound card and not your UR22c. Perhaps disabling your internal sound card for one and using your interface only would be a good start. Please also provide your buffer settings along with your driver mode in Cakewalk and your UR22c. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi matias, Sounds like your sound issue is with your interface or perhaps your output cables. As for the sudden crashes, I would contact Bandlab tech support. Do you have a crash dump file? Kind regards, tecknot

Can you create new clips of the offending transients? I am guessing that would also be time consuming. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Ronald and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. I would reference the product manual on this one. My USB controller has two (virtual) MIDI inputs and three outputs each serving a different purpose. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Dean and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. I would also suggest that you check that the sample rate and bit depth in Cakewalk [Edit | Preferences | Driver Settings] matches your sound cards sample rate and bit depth. This can also cause noisy playback. Kind regards, tecknot

A dropout has stopped the audio engine
tecknot replied to Jana Cole's topic in Instruments & Effects
Hi Jana, In order to make your DAW more reliable you will need to get a better sound card such as a Focusrite, Presonus, M-Audio, etc. Kind regards, tecknot -
Hi Michael, You can simply Export your project to audio in various formats. All you need to know is here: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Mixing.52.html Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Sonarman, You only have to move the Now Time marker to the desired location (or SMPTE time) and then press the M key on your PC keyboard. That will bring up the Marker properties dialog where you can enter the Marker's name, then click on "Lock to SMPTE..." and also set the exact time where the Marker will be placed. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Sonarman, If you set a Marker at the beginning of the desired Bar, then you can use the goto Previous Marker button on the Tool Bar. The key command is Ctrl+Shift+PgUp, although I believe you can change this to whatever key is available. Kind regards, tecknot

Hi Koyaanis and welcome to the Cakewalk forums. Are you playing your MIDI through a VSTi soft synth? Is Input Echo on? Are you using a single MIDI track, MIDI and Audio track or an Instrument track? Is the output set to your Master Bus? And, is your Master Bus output set to your ASIO output? As long as your speakers are connected to the front outputs on your PC, your settings look correct (although, it appears you're not using the latest version of Cakewalk). Kind regards, tecknot
