  1. My Nintendo Gameboy laughs at all your fancy graphic OS issues in all its 8 bit glory.
  2. I thought about it, but I'm not serious enough about learning guitar. I want to do some simple playing over a jam and maybe recording some riffs or samples.
  3. I think this is as low as I have seen Mike-E Comp seen go. I believe the previous low was 109? So now for 89 is pretty large jump.
  4. I'm learning guitar (3 lessons in), but I'm missing some essential fingers (index and middle finger on my left hand) so it will never be more than just some easy stuff. But I played a Metallica riff and Smoke on the water! So perhaps in a later jam I will incorporate some guitar playing.
  5. Sounds interesting. It seems that they took a path towards the more textural. I'm glad they did. I don't really have a use for the next sampled orchestra just because it's recorded in a different location. I have my Spitfire ducks in a row. So, I'm curious.
  6. This one has been on my watchlist, purely because it looks cool. Is it any good or does it do something my other 174 compressors cannot do?
  7. As is the tri-tip. That's why I'm planning to cook it sous vide. I have a pretty large tomahawk in my freezer which I'm gonna use as a test case/practise run. That reminds me, I need to get a cleaver/bonesaw to cut of the bone otherwise it won't fit. I kinda want these libraries, but they are not on my wishlist, and I have a pretty good alternative. So I think I can curb my gas.
  8. I recently bought a sous vide device. So it's either these libraries or:
  9. I think it was a freebie once at Plugin Boutique.
  10. I have NI Passive and Acustica Audio Magenta. That should cover it.
  11. I love Project SAM. And I'm afraid this will cost me money. They have a certain sound I much (!) more prefer than Spitfire. I hope Lumina gets a similar treatment, discount wise. I love their approach to layering and combining their patches. I'm not an orchestrator, so that helps A LOT. They do some very smart scripting and it is very commendable they provide these huge updates.
  12. Also works on the Native Instruments website. You have to be logged in, then you get the upgrade price of 74,50 per library.
  13. Thanks (and for the YT comment, I thought the name looked familiar 😅). I still have the occasional hanging midi note or sudden midi drop out, but this is the best it can get. Until I get my Midronome that is.
  14. Thanks! The growls are from the Sub37, that's my favorite part too. It's an amazing machine for that kind of sound. You can mimic it somewhat with U-he Diva. Just apply glide to your patch, have a long sustained note and a short burst an octave (or 2) up. The spacy stuff is mainly the Matriarch. I messed that up slightly, because I made a patch with some stereo modulation intended as a pad, but I ended up using it as an arp. So the modulation doesn't have the time to complete its cycle and therefore the sound is a bit tilted to the right side. I noticed it this morning when I listened to it on headphones. 😅
  15. It's been a weird weekend. Had a terrible friday and great saturday. Aweful to have a close friend call you that they might be dying very soon (f@#$k cancer), and a day later you are with all the entire group, all the children and just having a great day. On top that my key broke off in my lock of the front door and my favorite sports team lost. But the jam went well. So...I don't know man...overall screw this weekend.
  16. Ah right, I own Tape and Chandler Germanium. I can get the Overstayer for 135 or the entire bundle (which would ONLY add the Overstayer for me) for 219. That's some special upgrade math there at Softube.
  17. Maybe their BF sale has a larger discount, but got those who can't wait that long: I use 3 of their plugins on virtually every project. Canopener for the headpone check or when I work with headphones. Gooddither as my standard dither algorithm. Vulf Compressor as one of my favorite colour compressors.
  18. Vocals sound great, very clearly mixed and intelligible (I'm not a native English speaker, so when I can hear/understand the lyrics clearly, it is a great plus). Maybe you could try a little less reverb? It sets a space but now a lot lives in that same space. If you didn't do it already, perhaps just sidechaining the reverb signal to the original track would clear it up.
  19. You are not mistaken, as far as I know.
  20. Because @mark skinner thought it was a good idea to put vocals in a track, I decided to do just that. Behold my glorious singing voice! Behind the scenes story: I had a first run where I wasn't paying attention and went too long. So I had another go, but a camera(phone) had a crashed SD card during the saving process and it didn't work. I didn't know, so I lost 1 angle. But luckily I had an additional angle wih my work phone for a vertical video (I didn't like the previous cropped ones and that takes a lot of time to edit out, so I set up another phone). So I zoomed in, made it 16:9 and got rid of the poor zoom quality by placing a VHS filter over it. Anyway, synthwavey stuff, vocoders, drummachines and more. Got out my "I'll be back" shirt and 'neon' glasses to look the part. Enjoy!
  21. Great, now my stupid behind (because aparently there is some autocorrection here which doesn't let me say a s s ) is singing. Video will be up somewhere this evening or tomorrow.
  22. And here. Seems that posting the code online killed it. Could it be that the code was part of a magazine (Beat?) and a sudden influx of users made it suspicious?
  23. Thanks! I sort of, unintenionally, do this. I practise these sessions during the week and sculpt the sounds. I save all those sounds and I take pictures of the settings on the synths without presets. So within the project, most of the time I have some recordings of tests, other melodies, other sounds and stuff. I like the idea of building a full track out of it. While it is not my immediate intention, there is potential in some tracks. For the vocals, yeah I'm not a singer. And that's an understatement. But I happen to know a few, one metal singer with a stunningly clear voice, my ex girlfriend which is, errr, complicated and a colleague who is gaining a lot of traction lately on tiktok. That being said, I have a Microfreak and am contemplating singing myself with the vocoder mic, no pitch needed 😅
  24. Thanks! I agree that the live playing of melodies on top was kinda missing in the previous ones. I think I was just anxious to do it because I'm not a great player. But in the end it is the most satisfying. l will try do so it more often when it fits the track (my latest electro thing was more drum oriented). It's so great when I just jam on top and it works (ok I kinda practice beforehand). Thanks again for taking the time and the feedback!
  25. Still 199ex for me on the IK site. I don't own any MAX bundle. I own almost all the individual products due to last years group buy. So no, I won't be upgrading. The only thing I'm interested in is the Fame reverb and some of the Tascam plugins. Not worth 199.
