Benn is a smart guy and uses his intelligence and creativity to make some awesome content. For example: who has the idea to learn about a speech jamming, explain it technically AND also build the thing?! So it struck me as weird he would frame it like this. He is also very vocal on X about this whole saga. He probably didn't intend to get pulled down, but he HAD to know that using these words would have some consequences. So that raises suspicion that he did it on purpose to get some conflict/attention going. Anyway, my previous remarks are indeed my take on this. It's like watching an argument between a burglar and a car thief about rising income tax. Ps: on the so called antisemitic thing. I do believe that was 'just' a f*ck up. The guy depicted isn't even jewish. They designed that guy with a big nose to sniff corks (aka being elitst). The nose would be the only link with a jewish caricature. Now Behringer had no business to attack someone personally, but that accusation was just silly to me.

And the GEM has a 3A in it as well.

The plot thickens. The latest Benn Jordan video is down (private). I saw it coming. He was really hammering the point that Behringer was "counterfeiting". I even googled what that meant in a legal context in the US. I'm guessing Behringer didn't like being accused of a criminal offence. Benn had to know this.

Haha yes it is very easy. Luckily I have some pressure to actually make something and record. I want to continue my streak of weekly jams. I think I can go for a year (that would be the end of january when I posted thee first one). But also on the day itself because I want to record with daylight. The days become shorter and shorter so I have to actually get something done in a reasonable amount of time.

I haven't really cared a lot until now. I think the whole Behringer thing triggered it for me. There is a whole group of so called synthfluencers (who have made great content which I've enjoyed!) who group together and form a united front against Behringer. And it's not that Behringer is the ethical one here. There's a group of disingenuous people who are in no position to lecture. I'm pretty much at a point where a plugin release which is backed by the usual names will mean an automatic "no" from me.

What do you get when you fire up almost every synth you have? A ridiculous wall of sound. A wall of synths if you like. I love that sound. It's the reason I got all that stuff. Enjoy!

I bought it a while ago. Haven't tried it Ceiling of sound but did try out the AYAIC recently. Couldn't get a decent mix out of it, so maybe it was just a bad attempt or I didn't get how it works. Probably the latter because I hear great things about it. Just a caution for everyone (which you also mention), it's not 'ready steady go!'.

Alright, it's useless in reference to the price they advertise then. "Here's a nice discount....aaaand it's gone". Sorry, this whole Behringer versus hypocrite influencers thing got me riled up against cowmanure and I'm taking it out on poor JRR. ?

Thanks for checking it out. Let's hope it's just a bug because I remember they DID feature tax at some point. I was just a bit aggrevated that they seemed to be going a questionable route with their pricing. Could be a European issue?

AGAIN with the f****&ng tax thing. Checking out with paypal, no mention that tax wasn't included in the cart. Good thing I was paying attention, comes paying time within the paypal webpage, the amount is suddenly $25 more than anything you will see during the ENTIRE checkout process. Canceling the order and NOW the tax shows in the cart. This is very poor programming at best and malice at worst. So be aware, as long as you are paying tax, the GROUP discount is worthless. They seem to use it as a cover for not including tax in their prices.

Yeah I had my 'run in' with Wookiee when I accidentally closed down the IK 25 year group buy thread. Totally nice and reasonable guy. The whole Behringer thing just fascinates me because the discussion (also elsewhere) seems to take an unexpected turn where people are calling out the influencers too. I didn't see that coming. And it made me rethink their role and how there definitely is some shady business going on. Yesterday I commented on the latest video from Benn Jordan on Youtube where he advertised and praised Zzounds but made the (very funny) disclaimer that he had no financial arrangement blabla the usual thing. While at the same time using a $5000 Korg arranger keyboard borrowed from Zzounds to create content which makes him money and linking to his own website which links to Zzounds. I can't prove anything, and he has a reputation of being really upfront and candid about these things, but I can't help but thinking there is some undisclosed business going on there.

Ah see, I wasn't going crazy. They could have just moved it if it was the inappropriate forum right? It wasn't political or anything. I was enjoying reading along and commenting. Weird and sad that you get these false reports. Or they could have closed it and give a reason for closure as a final comment. Now I have to hijack Benn Jordan's X feed and Youtube comments to get in on the Behringer action.

I remember like 10-15 years ago I set up a forum at a domain I had, just to see if I could and how that would work. I removed a signup barrier (like a confirmation mail or something). Next day I got a message from my hosting platform that I was at my storage and traffic limit. My entire forum was flooded with animal porn.

The lighting is a trade-off between looking cool and seeing anything at all. I might experiment a bit more with less room lighting and more 'fx' lighting. The patch from scratch thing is something I really enjoy. It challenges me to get to know my synths more and it gives room for more 'happy accidents'.

Every patch from scratch, live drums arrangement and a stupid soy boy clickbait thumbnail. This better not work ?. The Drumbrute Impact and TR-8S work really well together. Creating groovy drumlines has never been easier. Absolute fun!

My GEM PXIII I learned to play on. Just look at that bad boy. The box alone is a pure work of art. The bossa nova rhythm section still haunts me. It's an Italian keyboard. So I got my hopes up when IK Multimedia anounced their secret project. Imagine my disappointment when it turned out to be just a piano. They could have had glory... @Peter - IK Multimedia Get on it!

Ok I just saw a trailer for this, and did they straight up copy the intro piano for the Star Wars Force Awakens trailer with just a little less attack? ?

I still had 3 unused F29 codes and there is nothing in their current catalogue I'm interested in and don't alrerady have. So why not try out a new plugin.
