Melodic techno livejam || Every patch from scratch
Nick Blanc replied to Nick Blanc's topic in Songs
Thanks! Glad you liked it. And yes, I may have gone a bit overboard with the gear, but damn is it fun ?? -
I remember like 10-15 years ago I set up a forum at a domain I had, just to see if I could and how that would work. I removed a signup barrier (like a confirmation mail or something). Next day I got a message from my hosting platform that I was at my storage and traffic limit. My entire forum was flooded with animal porn.

Melodic techno livejam || Every patch from scratch

The lighting is a trade-off between looking cool and seeing anything at all. I might experiment a bit more with less room lighting and more 'fx' lighting. The patch from scratch thing is something I really enjoy. It challenges me to get to know my synths more and it gives room for more 'happy accidents'. -
Every patch from scratch, live drums arrangement and a stupid soy boy clickbait thumbnail. This better not work ?. The Drumbrute Impact and TR-8S work really well together. Creating groovy drumlines has never been easier. Absolute fun!

My GEM PXIII I learned to play on. Just look at that bad boy. The box alone is a pure work of art. The bossa nova rhythm section still haunts me. It's an Italian keyboard. So I got my hopes up when IK Multimedia anounced their secret project. Imagine my disappointment when it turned out to be just a piano. They could have had glory... @Peter - IK Multimedia Get on it!
-
Ok I just saw a trailer for this, and did they straight up copy the intro piano for the Star Wars Force Awakens trailer with just a little less attack? ?
-
I still had 3 unused F29 codes and there is nothing in their current catalogue I'm interested in and don't alrerady have. So why not try out a new plugin.
-
I Forever 29'ed it
-
Yeah well to be honest it was 7, but they do a correction to be on the safe side so I got fined for 4.
-
Excuses excuses! I can barely hold a guitar the way one should, let alone play it and I own 3 ?
-
Had to restart it 3 times to get the activated plugins again. They kept on showing as 'connect to ilok'. Not the smoothest update.

Yeah, got cought on a speed camera. So they just send you the ticket. I know where that camera is and I usually just do the speedlimit there, but I think I just drove with the flow of traffic and bam, it was on that day. Just 4 km/h too fast.
-
I WAS interested in this one. Until I came home and found a speeding ticket in my mail. Luckily not that high, but still 2 Vintage Drives worth. Next time...

Same and this is what I hear too. Audio editing workflow seems to be great too. I know a few radio and podcast editors who swear by Cubase. Bitwig is the modulation king and (Ableton) Live is great for...well, live. I use the latter and wouldn't want anything else. The choice between a linear horizontal workflow or a grid based vertical workflow is great.

I got a thankyou code and this one, combined I can get the Fairchild for €22. I'm tempted... Edit: fine, I'll do it. I'm not going to wait on another glitch to get it cheaper. That only leaves the 2A on my wantlist. And perhaps both the Hitsville thingies and the 3A, but I have the Acustica Audio Rust Motor EQ (I think that's the Hitsville EQ) and the IK Sunset reverb which is kinda similar (and I use that one a lot). And I have a 2A/3A from Overloud.

Indeed. As I read it, it seems that Moog was in deep trouble and for some time. So it could have been a case of rigorous measures or going down. That doesn't mean that InMusic is a white savior. But in this particular case not really the bad guy. More of a necessary 'evil'?
-
Well, not so great news. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but I guess it's done. Get your Moogs second hand people. My prediction (as if that's worth something after my 'wait and see comments ?) is that the 'made in Asheville' products will be in higher demand than the 'made in Asia' stuff. https://synthanatomy.com/2023/09/inmusic-has-fired-a-large-portion-of-the-moog-staff-a-sad-day-for-synth-industry.html

I decided to use the 909 kit in the TR-8S, which is always a good choice. Full analog jam, no samples or VSTi's. I'm slowly getting the hang of doing drums live together with the rest. Enjoy!
-
And they gave me ANOTHER thank you coupon this morning. Which is only fair because I bought the Pultec collection. But they did it as a reply to my already solved ticket. Ah well...

Klevgrand - Get ready for a really nice deal on 26.09.2023
Nick Blanc replied to Frank's topic in Deals
I use Fosfat and DAW Casette all the time. I also have those percussion things but don't use them that often. I'm still waiting until Knorr gets a discount. -
Got the coupon AND a 20% first purchase code extra (?), so €12,60 for the Pultec collection.
-
Just mailed them, I seem to not have gotten a code either with my dbx purchase. We will see. As you and mibby said, $14 for the UA Pultec, why not. Could at least be an interesting shootout with the Softube ones.
-
It's always funny to me that 'they' (I see it with more composers on the youtubes) have all this gear, 1000's of dollars for a Doepfler keybed, motorized faders left and right, analog consoles, etc. And then a € 50 Korg NANOkontrol 2 for dynamics and such ?
-
Don't mind the thumbnail. You basically HAVE to do it. Anyway, melodic, driving techno, I am really pleased with this one. It all fits together. I'm using the TR-8S more and more and it works great. This time I layered it with the Drumbrute Impact and that sounds awesome. The PWM Malevolent sounds great, the melody with the Sub37 also. Happy ?

Yup, fun one indeed. Bought it!
