  1. Ed, thanks for taking the time to listen and your input! I tend to agree with you and will address this on the next pass. Stay healthy and safe!

If you are trying for a live feel; when I closed my eyes, it felt like you were right in front of me. This is a winner on any level! Keep up the good work.
  3. What a terrific song and a good way to start my day! Freddy, I've been meaning to ask you what mic do you use to record your voice. You have such a resonant voice that I'm surprised that you aren't doing voice-overs for commercials and the like. What I really like about this song is your ability to tell a story that most of us can relate to. I'll be listening to the rest of your songs over the next few days because they always put me in a good mood. Hang in there, pal!!!
  4. Very clever, chaps! I think George would have liked this, too. Carry on!
  5. Joshua, it's good to hear from you again. This is a solid song, and your voice seems as strong as ever. As Tom noted above, it's just a bit short of excellence right now, but a little massaging would make this stellar. The arrangement is good, and that may be your strength. I'll always be grateful in your help in arranging my song "The Devil's In My House", which helped quite a bit. If you're still in the KC area, I'm still here, too. Hope you and your family are doing well!
  6. Thank you, Freddy, your words are very kind and welcome. Stay healthy and productive, my friend!!!
  7. This is a terrific song! A few, simple adjustments and this will be stellar. Good job
  8. Thank you, Bjorn. Your words mean a lot to me! Makke, thanks for your time. Keep up the good work!
  9. I really like this cool, upbeat song! The mix is clean and wide, and everything is in its place. You have a terrific voice which conveys your message very well. In fact, I like it so much that I think that you could mix the vocals a db or two louder to make this larger than life. Keep us posted!
  10. Steve, this is very special and unique at the same time. I like the way you think out of the box, and I find it very educational. I'm gonna have to jump back into this song a few more times to grok the coolness of the arrangement. Stay busy and healthy!
  11. Great song, great mix! You'd be welcome in Kansas City.
  12. It's been a while since I studied the various modes (modalities?) that are around, but this is like a roller coaster ride through several of them. It all makes sense to me, and this is quite a production. I wonder what a wider dynamic range between the parts would sound like. Well, maybe not. Gotta listen some more, good job!
  13. As I was listening to this at low volume, I was impressed with the wide stereo field that was so full and balanced. Yet, I was reaching for the low end after a while though it certainly wasn't a distraction in any way. The song itself is beautiful and has a spiritual quality to it that is very magnetic. Congrats!
  14. Makke rides again! The more I hear, the more I like.
  15. I'm wondering if this update is compatible with the latest OVox update. I'm referring to the one that Waves warns CW users not to use.
  16. Tom, thanks for your kind words! I will make the adjustments you suggest on the next pass. That's what happens when I try to think like a drummer Nigel, thank you for taking the time to listen and reply! Keep up your good work. Yeah, sucks doesn't it?
  17. Make sure that you put the MIDI file into a track with a VST on it, and that the VST is routed to an appropriate bus or master output. It won't make a noise if on a channel with no VST. I hope I read your question correctly.
  18. Colin, this is one of the very best songs I've heard in a while. Great video to go with the sound track. No crits, just praise! I'll be back.
  19. Tom, thanks for taking a listen and your kind words. EZ Keys is easy to use, and it took me about 15 minutes to arrange this part. If I had played this, myself, it would have taken about 15 weeks. The flute part is a sample from Dimension Pro played on my Strat through MIDIGuitar 2. Thank you Steve for the encouragement. I especially appreciate your comments on the vox, which I was unsure about.
  20. Thanks Douglas! FYI, the lead guitar is my Strat played with an E-Bow going through S-Gear. David, I appreciate your encouraging words! Wookie, thank you for your time and response! Are the lyrics hard to hear because of their content, or because of volume?
  21. Thanks for your good ideas, Harry. I'll take you up on those when I remix.
  22. Hello to all my CW friends. I hope you're all staying healthy and safe and finding some joy in your music. I have just finished a song based on true events, inspired by the Covid-19 virus. It's a song about someone losing a loved one in this battle, though it offers a glimmer of hope in the end. My friend, Roger Fife, played bass on this, but I did the rest with help for the first time from EZ Keys on the piano. I went a little more mainstream than normal, but under the circumstances, I think it was appropriate in this case. I hope you enjoy it and will offer suggestions and advice, as usual. As always, thanks a million for listening and all your help. "Days Gone By" can be found here: https://soundclick.com/r/s8ctxx
  23. I don't know which version I just listened to twice, but I like it a lot. It does seem like your voice has a presence to it that I rarely hear, and I just love it. All I would ask for is a louder guitar solo that stands up to the vocal a tad more, but...it's good to go as is.
  24. Bjorn, I'm really impressed by your versatility-I never know what to expect from you. I like where this is going, and the mood you created with this piece. Obviously, there's a lot of details to make a complete chamber piece sound real, but I'd be proud of this if it were mine.
