  1. Douglas, I always enjoy your songs and style of music, and this song is no exception. I appreciate that you list your equipment because I have gained a new appreciation of TH-U. Best of luck!
  2. This is a very cool song and classy production. It made my feet tap, and it gave me a smile. Well done!

    Happy Place

When I think a song ends too soon, you know I'm in love with it. I must listen again! All excellent!
  4. I agree with this!!!
  5. I never had to delete anything, but I might have had to reboot the computer.
  6. Have you tried rescanning the vst's? Also, check your stand-alone version, if you have one, for the correct version. Good luck!
  7. This is one of the moodiest songs I've heard from you in a while. You have a wide palette of styles and the right gear to express them. Variety is truly the spice of life! I look forward to you next creation, my furry friend!
  8. Another outstanding song and production, Nigel! There's a lot to learn from this, so I'll have to listen and watch it again. Thank you for sharing!

    TIME

This is one moody, laid-back blues tune with a message that had to be said! You always have a way of putting contemporary topics in a way that makes sense and imparts a message at the same time. As usual, the production sounds organic with your touch of warmth. Listening to you is like enjoying my grandma's cooking and all the comforts of home.
  10. I'm glad that you put two versions up because it was pure joy to hear them both. I love the title, as it does have an Indian flavor that I learned to love from the Beatles. Five stars with two thumbs up!
  11. I'd like to thank each of you for your kind words! I'm happy to hear that it works for others, and I'll keep experimenting with different time signatures.
  12. This happens to me, too, with the latest upgrade to version 5. However, when I hit play, the display jumps to the correct place, and after hitting stop or pause, it returns to the correct place on the timeline. Is that true for anyone else?
  13. Thank you so much, Rob! Couldn't have done it without artificial intelligence.
  14. I like the song and the mix! You have a terrific voice that comes through loud and clear. I hope to hear more from you!
  15. This could also be called the White Horse. You hit the quirkiness button on this which has tremendous appeal to me. I'd love to channel you someday!

    Angels

You really nailed this! Enjoyable from the first to the last note, this is relaxing and peaceful. What a talent!
  17. Well done! It gave me a sense of anxiety, so now I'm gonna have to listen to some blues. You've shown that even your prison can have no walls.
  18. Not only is this another good song in the Kirby style, but this mix is clean and polished which showcases your voice and guitar well. Perhaps the addition of another's voice would be just the spice this song needs, as variety is the spice of life.
  19. You must be Leo Fender's lost son. You play this style about as good as anyone, whether you're adapting an old folk tune or creating something new out of the blue. Fine, fine job!
  20. Bjorn, you have a very large palette of musical tastes. I like things like this, especially at certain times of day. This gets under the skin in a good way, and I'll be listening again and again. When I try something like this, I'm not nearly as successful.
  21. Jesse, if I inspired this, I'm honored! "I chased him away with my cane" I wish that I had the nerve to do the same with my relatives. Unfortunately, if I chase him with my cane, I fall flat.
  22. Just as I was getting the vibe it was over, short and sweet. A nice experiment that will probably influence me to give the arranger a try. I feel I'm often a step behind you. Good job, Wookie!
  23. Thank you very much, Jesse! This works for me, too. Stay safe That's the first I've ever heard of Van Vliet, had to google him. I'm happy to please! Sabby, you're not alone. This whole shebang started with that crazy guitar riff at the intro. Sometimes my body knows more than my brain. Thanks for your reply, as always!
  24. Freddy, thank you very much! I was unaware of Stewart Copeland's work until recently, but am grateful to have gotten the word. Stay safe, my friend!
  25. Thank you Wookie! That's why I kept listening to Zappa-you never knew what was coming next. Hi Tom, thanks for replying! I had the same problem until I started anticipating the missing eighth note at the end. I had to do this to break the cycle of the gloomy songs I had been writing lately. I'm gonna check that out, as I was a huge Police fan. Thanks so much for your reply! David, I really appreciate your response! One superlative I never tire of is "luck". (or, more appropriately, "it's better to be lucky than good")
