  1. I stopped buying Waves stuff when they changed their licence policy - I had a nightmare trying to get stuff I'd purchased to work.
  2. How do I get rid of a Synth Plug-in loading I no longer need to be in a project. (mainly to save DAW resource) In this instance I'm talking about Addictive Drummer 2 and this is the scenario 1. Use midi to 'play AD2' into Project as Audio 2. Now I have all my audio drum tracks I no longer need to load AD2 3. Delete the midi track and all the previous tracks that were pointing to record from AD2 all show as audio tracks So now when I save and load the project - I notice that it still loads AD2 even though I'm no longer using it. How do I stop it loading? It's not a show stopper by any means, but I'm just curious how to release that Synth from the project. Stay safe peeps.
  3. Thanks for the reply Kevin, I do use the drop down menu and I always run as Admin. but they still don't save.
  4. So..... I'm guessing folk don't use Sonitus fx products much, I know they aren't bright and shiny and look rubbish, but they work well.
  5. Hi, I'm struggling to save my own presets in the Sonitus fx products, I think they are stored in Registry settings so not easy able find in file manager, for eg:- When using the Sonitus Compressor, I try and save using the 'Preset->Preset Manager-> Add-> (new preset name+bank)-> Save It is then listed in the Bank - but as soon as you delete the Compressor, then re-open it, the preset you have just 'saved' has gone. Anyone know why - please? Cheers
  6. Thanks scook, I have asked them to send me 24bit 44100 files - but I've been sent some at 32bit and I think the one guy is using Garage band and exporting at 16bit - not sure if GarageBand can export at 24bit?
  7. In these days of remote social distancing recording where the artist records his own stuff. So I'm getting sent wav files that are different bit rates, mostly 32 but some 24 and 16, Question - Am I ok to import them into one project or do I have to convert them all to the same bitrate before I can work on them?
  8. So I didn't want to update CbB whilst in the middle of a tracking sessions, - is it safe and stable to do so now? What has been the main issue I need to look out for (if anything)
  9. HI, I wonder if anyone can assist me please? .. I Use Universal Audio Apollo kit and have a number of their excellent plug-in's however When using CbB and I select 'Insert Audio Effect >Universal Audio Inc.' I am faced with a selection of every plug-in that they have created instead of just the plug-in's I have purchased, Which is a pain to scroll through all this stuff to find the one I want. Now I know that folks on the UA Forums have been asking to get this sorted and they have corrected this in their LUNA DAW product - But I prefer CbB and wondered if this can be sorted from Plug-in Manager somehow?
  10. Nice thread, nice people .... super DAW and great support
  11. I wish I could say the same, regarding zip files but I'll take heed of your experience in this matter wrt bundles, thanks for the replies.
  12. Yeh that's true ... But then again so can a zip file!
  13. Thanks, yes ... I can work my way down the tracks and the Palette shows if it's enabled ... very useful, some of these projects are years old and I can't recall which needed Audiosnap. Cheers Al.
  14. Hi Scook, Because? Extract from Cakewalk documentation ... https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=FileManagement.3.html#1117028 Bundle files are useful for backing up projects and for burning onto removable media, like a blank CD or DVD. I always us 'Save as' as a matter of course after making major changes to projects and increment the version number of the project, This however can lead to multiple (>10 or 20) versions of projects all held in the same folder, and once the song is completed I only really need to keep the last version of the project. Hence why I prefer converting that to a bundle rather than zipping up the entire folder. But I'm always willing to be educated otherwise Cheers Al.
  15. I'm trying to free up space on my drives by saving my old projects as 'bundles' and whizzing them over to my archive, however some of them won't convert due to me having tracks with AudioSnap markers, and I therefore need to 'bounce' those tracks before doing so but my projects have loads of tracks, My question is this:- How do I easily find out which tracks have 'AudioSnap' markers and need to be 'bounced' ? Cheers Al.
  16. Yes I like this Theme ... I'll look forward to it
  17. Well that was simplicity itself Just installed and tested my latest project and all plugins seemed to work as well as all the Region fx like (eg: Vocalign) were all available. Thanks.
  18. Thanks Jon, So is the old Cakewalk Command Center is no longer used at all?
  19. Sorry for the lame question, but I've had a look at the FAQ, and the answer isn't there, So.... I have SPLAT version 2017.10[23.10.0.4] and I put off updating anything for the last year as I was in the middle of producing a project and didn't want any potential problems with updates to stop me working, anyhoo the project is now complete and I can look to update my DAW. 1. Where do I download the latest version from? 2. Can I download the latest CbB and keep my existing version of Sonar (mentioned above) just in case of problems or does the new version overwrite the old? Thanks in anticipation. Al. PS. - I can't tell you how pleased I am that Bandlab picked this product up
