  1. Profitable is great, but the quality of their product has plummeted. Meaning Paul's voice has been shot for at least 5 years, and they are using lead vocal and backing tracks. Set list is the same old crap from 2000 basically (and I know they have many songs they "must play", but they could rotate 3 or 4 spots in the set for some less-played classics ...though I guess when Paul NEEDS a vocal track to sing with, it would be tough.

I 100% agree with @Rain that if they had waited for a bit, say a year, then it wouldn't have been nearly as bad. I still think the idea is sh!t, and I won't pay a dime for it, and this is from a guy who has all the records and a good amount of memorabilia. No respect at all for Gene and Paul. #teamACE

  2. Instead of walking away with a shred of integrity(because seriously, how much integrity do you have when you dress like clowns and have a song like Love Gun?), KI$$ are now avatars in the digital realm ...another way to try to bilk people out of money.

I grew up loving the band, but by the end of the first "Farewell Tour", I had become disenchanted with them, and saw them for what they are: a mediocre band with a good gimmick. Now I know why people turned on them in the 70's.

I try to go by a simple rule when on a phone call, visit with a friend, or at a party: better to leave a little early and wish you stayed longer than overstay and wear out your welcome. KI$$ has SO worn out their welcome!

I just switched to W11 with building my new computer.  Lots of options for optimizing are hidden in different places now so took few day to sort that out.
Then just when everything is nice and back to normal a Windows Update trashed dozens of settings I had gone to great trouble to make. Not only that it deleted every signal shortcut I had created in Windows for things like folders and the different hard drives. Gone. Even the Main computer icon was gone??

my audio settings got changed back to the Realtek which I had disabled.
I haven’t had this kind of thing happen in a long long time. This is just like when W10 first came out all over again.
This is W11 pro which I paid extra for because I was told you can customize it.

Microsoft knows what you want better than you do, and they make it happen!

  4. Probably blasphemy to many, but I think 90125 is the best Yes album all the way through. Particularly the vocals on Leave It. Vocals start shortly after the 2 minute mark.

  5. I didn't TRULY appreciate Rush until the R40 tour, because I got a last minute ticket for two beers as it turned out. BEST DEAL EVER! While they still aren't a favorite, I became much more of a fan that day and have explored much more of their catalog since.

Yes? My pop sensibilities say 90125 is damn near a MASTERPIECE! But, the 70's stuff is hit or miss for me. Some is brilliant, some is "meh" IMO ...I'm willing to scrap over that! 🤪

@Shane_B.My grandmother took me numerous times to see Liberace as a kid at Radio City Music Hall, and he was AMAZING!!!!

    Rolling Stones?? No. Just NOOOOOOO!!!

Never got The Who, but Eminence Front is a song I just dig.

Genesis @Rain I really started at Duke, but I tried to get in to Trick of the Tail, and it didn't work. I am a Phil Collins era fan I guess.

I'm going to checkout some of the bands mentioned though, always willing to check out some vintage music!

Maybe I'm biased but, in the 80's, I got to hang out with Eddie Van Halen and got to play with Craig Goldy (who was in Rough Cut like Jake E. Lee and was Ronnie James Dio's godson), so... 😎

Craig Goldy was Dio's godson???? I did not know that. Vivian made Dio IMO, Goldy held serve.

Who said anything about business?   I specifically referred to people already using linux.  Again, i can understand if someone doesn't want to dive into that world, but i don't understand why it would bother anyone that someone else has wants to.  Being able to use bitwig on my Linux laptop was a lifesaver

I use Debian and Ubuntu(and Mint a few years back), but I realize it is a such a small subset of people who use Linux and also do music production that it would be cost prohibitive to target the market, that's all.

I get why someone who is not already a Linux user would not think much about this, but linux users should be thrilled. Things change in tech all the time.  MacOS is Unix underneath the pretty package and slick marketing. Android is also a variation of  Linux, which is also unix. Chromebooks have gotten more and more popular and also Linux based. If anything we have seen that Unix amd linux have q wide range when marketes properly

I just don't see that being a wise business move, and to Jim's point, incomplete.

  9. My two biggest regerts:

I had an original Ibanez Iceman from the 70's that I took a screwdriver and/or chisel to, so I could get it painted with a Frankenstein head ....the artist did an AMAZING job, but it was on the wood that had chunks out of it. I ended up trading it for a pair of suede boots. Not my finest moment.

Also, in the early 90's, had a chance to buy an Orange Chet Atkins Tennesseean for $500. I loved it, but just didn't fit with my look at the time.

    What's yours?
