You need to activate it. Also, Cakewalk is far from a simple editor. It is a full-featured, professional level DAW.

Crossfades are made automatically by default unless you turn it off.

Don't bother. Bluetooth is totally unsuitable for use with a DAW. The latency is horrendous.
