  1. Today I discovered that export presets does not remember selected bus/track options.
  2. I see what they were thinking, but other than very specific situations, auto-appending extra name/labels when exporting other than "entire mix"... It can make other scenarios very cumbersome...
  3. I guess in the "right" situation it could be handy to label stems, but for me, i need the ability to disable this...
  4. I don't want it to add anyhing. It seems to append the bus name etc. Thankfully, it doesn't do this using the "entire mix" option. Sadly the selected bus/busses is not saved with the settings either. So until this stuff is addressed I must remember to disable the plugin prior to export. Far less extra work than the alternative.
  5. This is in Abbey Road 3 virtual monitoring. Anytime it is added or a song is opened that contains it, it also opens the head tracker software which I don't use. I've looked but cannot find any way of preventing this. Does anyone know a way?
  6. Just a note. Using any export selection other than entire mix reeults in extra words appended to the output file. That turns out a royal pain, so I'm back to the simple alternative of placing it in the master bus and needing to remember to disable it when doing file exports...
  7. Hi Gang... Nothing earth shattering. But a bit of a pain. Due to new routing management, when I export I must no longer use entire mix option. Using any other option adds text to the file name . Is there anyway to disable this ? Thanks
  8. Trying new addition. This seems good. Testing the expirt now. So far the only downside is when not using "entire mix" during export, the filename of the export gets the bus name appended. Last issue resolved by setting the master bus output to 3/4 and using export settings selecting only bus 3/4. This way I can leave the headphone sends for mains (1/2) up in the vsl mixer and off on 3/4. When added to the settings mentioned previously, this allows DAW monitoring through the Abbey Road plugin as well as out if DAW (i.e. media player) to work in the cans without the plugin and not require any manual switching. This will work for now with some adjustments to my templates, but it would be nice to have the out of DAW playback to be through the plugin sometimes too.... Maybe down the road?
  9. Follow-up... Yes! That was easy. In the VSL mixer, I had to turn down the headphone sends (7/8) from main outs (1/2), and raise daw outputs 3/4 headphone sends. Then in CbB, create a send from mains and set it pre-fader so it is not affected if that bus is muted (probably unimportant) and add the Abbey Road plugin to the new bus for outputs 3/4 and finally routing the bus 3/4 output to the audiobox's headphone amp outs (7/8). I just exported a mix and de-selected the bus 3/4 from my options. But now I must change the main out headphone settngs to hear any playback outside the daw such as media player. So it seems to make this seamless, I do need to discover another way outside and after CbB of running The Abbey Road plugin seamlessly.... ...always something? 🙏👽🎸🎶
  10. Thanks Mark... I was thinking of something along that line. Then I need to remember or set a default so that the export excludes all but is the main's bus yes?
  11. Yeah... Lots of good/bad issues. I bought it (abbey road) last night... i wish it had more headphone models to select from as it would give me more confidence. I love what it does to my Sony mdr-v6 using the 7506 profile, but as I've never had a pair of ath-m50's I'm concerned how it relates to my ath-m40's? I've got a $10k monitor system sitting in storage that I can't use here. After losing my home and studio it became a battle to work. My new apartment doesn't alliw me much speaker use so I am somewhat forced to mix in cans. I've been an engineer for so many decades and situations that I'm managing decent mixes anyway. Even if it only makes things sound "better" I will adjust and still get reasonable mixes, so it's good for me either way. My biggest problem is placing it in the chain as currently I must remember to disable it prior to exporting a mix. I monitor the mix bus. So far I have not concieved a way to have it in my monitor chain, but not the mix chain but I hope to fing some bussing method to get around this. Any ideas?
  12. Interesting. I just tried the demo quickly. Sadly it has very minimal headphone selections, so I have no idea how accurate it is, but I must say that with headphone selection off, and far speaker selected, it made my ath-m40 sound much better. Tomorrow I'll try with my Sony mdr v6.
  13. My sincere condolences Zargg... I'm sad to hear this but glad to hear her passing was gentle. All the love in the world to you!
  14. Very true, but before 2019.5, the system copied both the VV clip and it's underlying original. It seems to be doing that, but neither clip produces sound.
  15. Thanks Mark... I did post a report as at least one other found a problem with VV in 2019.05 that does not happen in earlier versions. I imagine you ctrl-dragged the VV clip to later locations and they all played correctly?
  16. Thanks Paulo... I found that thread and reported the issue a few minutes ago. The wheels are turning!
  17. Thanks Gang... Now I need to remember where to post the bug report. Can anyone remind me? It's been quite some time since I did so.
  18. Thanks Mark... I'll keep an eye for your post.
  19. Thanks Mark... My thoughts as well. I was hoping to find someone who could confirm the issue before filing a report.
  20. Thanks LadyFuzzTail and scook... All these issues... but VV has been working fine until the ARA2 implementation...
  21. Good thought, but no. I'm aware of the process and looked for this. The VV clip is not sounding in the copied locations.
  22. Good thought. I tried that to. Can't get the copied VV clips to play. I've been doing this since Roland/Cakewalk first gave us VV. There seems to be a difference in the display of both the VV clip and the original. I'm trying to remember exactly what that difference is. Keeping up with the Melodyne issue has me baffled. The blob display has gone, come back, now gone again. All these issues are only since ARA2...
  23. While I continue to have issues with Melodyne not showing blobs (yes, most recent updates of cbb/mel), I rely upon VVocal which has always worked. ...but for the last two CbB updates I constantly run into this. i have a clip somewhere near the beginning of the song which I correct with VVocal. i then ctrl-shift-click-drag to locations farther in the song. All looks good. when i play the track the vvocal clip is fine the first time but not the others offering only silence. my work around is to render before i copy, but this has never been the way previously. Is anyone else seeing anything like this?
