  1. Hmm, it appears to be $39 not $29.

    XLN Audio XO

I picked up XO (the plugin, not hugs and kisses) for $53.76 last November from Plugin Discounts. They've had lots of good XLN deals over the years. I guess you could say they're really 'xln' in that way. 😉

    Waves free plugin

The plugin is part of the OneKnob Series and is called: FU. The higher you turn the knob, the more non-Waves plugins it deletes from your system. It uses advanced AI to also deregister the deleted plugins from your online accounts so you can't reinstall them. It also comes with 50 years of WUP: Waves Uninstall Program! I was a beta-tester and can report that it works flawlessly. Unfortunately it also deleted my DAW, so I'm kinda screwed. Oh well, it was free after all. Buyer be Waves. 😱
  4. Hi Reid, My gripe is that we cannot break apart "...two notes connected in a legato, where one word is two notes." Currently the only way (I know of) to accomplish this is to delete one note, insert a new shorter one above/below the existing 'block' of notes, and then drag the new one to where you want it. The cause of this problem is that Emvoice assumes you want to keep the legato transition between notes and thus only allows you to drag-move the boundary between them rather then separate them. I'll watch your video when it comes out because I find working with Emvoice very frustrating (though I have used it quite a bit!). Cheers...
  5. I've never heard you say that before.

    Soundtoys SIE-Q

It has its uses, but definitely not a 'go-to' or 'must-have' EQ -- i.e., you'll live without it. 😉

    Soundtoys SIE-Q

This was a freebie years ago...
  8. After watching Andrew Huang's video I was going to buy this b/c I was very impressed by how much thought obviously went into designing and coding this synth. It seems to be one of the most innovative, flexible and powerful synths available. But then I watched the preset demo video and was surprised how timbrally homogenous most presets sounded. They remind me of my old Chroma Polaris. So I decided to pass even though this is a really great deal.
  9. Thanks, but none of my emails have that option. 😕
  10. Okay, so how do we unsubscribe from IKM's newsletter? We should be able to do this in the User Area. Musicians First.
  11. It has ... I installed my copy back in Jan 2020.
  12. I think this^ should be the first sticky you see when visiting this forum!
  13. I thought the same thing but then watched the "See the Cymbal Effects in Action Video" and realized that the library is capable of doing more than just 'traditional' cymbal stuff. I'm not sure if I'm going to get this one (I've only bought a few so far), but here are a few 'creative' patch examples for those who might be interested: https://youtu.be/wwvNnmoMSKs?t=579 https://youtu.be/wwvNnmoMSKs?t=1182 https://youtu.be/wwvNnmoMSKs?t=1965
  14. True! It's really quite a powerful modern, multi-FX plugin. No shame at all. For most plugins I start with a preset and tweak as needed.
  15. I realize I may be the oddball here, but, I actually prefer putting all my licences on an iLok since I can just uplug it from my desktop and then plug it into my laptop when I'm away from my studio. It works great!
  16. Sugar looks (and sounds) really nice; I'm going to keep my eye on this developer.
  17. Thanks. I just added it to my "plugins to get" list. 😉
  18. What was surprising and annoying to me is that initial registration/authorization of my S/N to my iLok worked the first time (I received the izotope 'rock on' hand sign).
  19. No. After entering the S/N I obtained from Plugin Boutique, the izotope Product Portal registered my license in my iLok. I then installed the software and, when that completed, was asked to register again (which I tried doing but failed b/c I had just done that). Then I loaded the plugin in Cubase and a pop-up appeared saying I had to register (third time). So I tried doing it to my iLok, but that failed (second failure), so I unticked the iLok box and tried again and it finally worked. After all that I was greated by a poorly-designed GUI with a really crappy preset browser (compared to version 1). So at this point I'm done with izotope; I have everything I want from them and am not willing to go through all this hassle when there are so many talented developers out there. And while I'm complaining, WTH happend to the Plugin Boutique site? It used to be so easy to make a purchase there; they were my primary choice for plugins. But now you have to click, click, click your way through numerous superflous screens just to buy something. Why?!?
  20. Great plugin concept. Tried the demo: severe latency and instalbility in Cubase 11/Win 10. Uninstalled. May try again next year.
  21. Dreadful GUI and workflow compared to version 1 and it required three authorizations (two in the 'installer' and one in Cubase). Goodbye izotope...
  22. Thanks. I read all that online too but didn't see any mention of the synths that were sampled. The description is very generic which makes me think these sounds have been recycled from an older collection. If so, I don't want to waste drive space duplicating what I already have.
  23. I wonder if this library contains new samples or recycled ones; I can't tell from its webpage.
