  1. Yes- I've tried a number of them, some have some excellent attributes, but I keep finding little things such as what I posted about the Mercury theme above. Mercury seems to have the least number of issues for me so I circled back to it. I have the theme editor and maybe I should have another go at tuning just this one little issue. My experience has been to fix one thing and create 3 new problems though.
  2. I'm running Win 7, Latest release of CbB (2019-build 54). { Melodyne (4.2.4.001 ) Studio version } and I'm not noticing this issue. Maybe studio and essentials are operating a little differently? Just thought I'd try to add a bit to this. I know that in the Studio version - I have to select the "blobs" in the track view properties of Melodyne when instantiating multiple tracks. I'm not too familiar with essentials version differences though.
  3. There's a chop saw right there.... it would be pretty easy to turn that into a soprano.
  4. I'm from Indiana - You hosers are spelling hoosiers all wrong.
  5. I have an issue in the track view when editing clips fade. It's very difficult to re-grab a fade node because the angled line is dark against the dark waveform background. It becomes white when zoomed close - but at nominal zoom level it's pretty much invisible.
  6. Yes , There's a minor and expected drop of audio and it re-syncs very quickly under the new buffers setting. It's very well behaved with the Apollo. Really nice implementation of ASIO improvements Noel. You fellas really rocked it.
  7. Yes - I am able to get an active slider with the Apollo. I'm still on Win 7 and this is an older Firewire Apollo unit, I also am running a UAD quad accelerator with it.
  8. Installed EA without a hitch. I only ran it for a short while and tested the ASIO handling. Just great - I was able to switch on the fly with an Apollo Firewire Silverface from preferences. That is a major biggie improvement - really nice. Looking forward to testing out other items tomorrow. The lowest the Apollo can go is 16.
  9. Either scenario as you described are just fine. The advantage of running Mono tracks to a stereo buss is to add stereo effects to that buss which can serve a different purpose when combining different instruments with common effects. - In the box it's essentially all good. Mixing at the buss level and leaving inputs tracks fixed in order to drive amp sims is a good way to keep them more predictable - depending where the amp sim is inserted and how it's " internal " effects are broken out.
  10. That's a game changer. Curious what the price point will be.
  11. Just leave her a nice little note ( IN ALL CAPS ) - this she will understand.
  12. Have you had any other noticeable performance issues with the Layla 3G card since the update ?
  13. I believe that playing overly loud makes me walk out of venues, that I'll never go to again. I stopped seeing one band that I absolutely love to see, I've been to there shows 7-8 times , but have refused to ever see again because of 2 occasions where they blew me out of the room. I've traveled out of country to see this band. They are great performers. But - I won't ever pay to see them again.
  14. I use Battery III - But just as a sample player and drum sample processor. No beats - or grooves or loops for me.
  15. Craig - was this your trick originally? I think that adding functionality to the arranger window could cover a few bases here - such as : an expanded lyrics view - a color coded markers view - allowing markers text to stack when zooming out - a better alternative to a timeline select to zoom window region - as well as the traditional arranger window.
  16. I think this could be cool as an added feature to the navigator window.
  17. I have these plug sets. They're very good - though I tend to use Vahalla room about 95% of the time.
  18. I've fixed a few controller issues just making sure the pots are cleaned as well.
  19. As if they couldn't go international on this.
  20. I'm trying to get the hang of the Alt scroll zoom method as well.... - trying to un learn many years of workflow habits is difficult. I wouldn't mind if there was a little bit taller window on the time line for selecting the zoom tool. Or Better yet - a dynamic navigator window which could be made switchable to either : The traditional navigator window -Or - traditional zoom along timeline selection - you have a little more screen space for the selection tool. or as Christian noted - color coded markers and marker text that could stack above the previous marker if they intersected each other. That window would grow taller as you zoomed out and markers pile up on top of each other. If color coded then those colors could also translate to the markers list row.
  21. To accomplish the same scenario as David Baay describes above but without using lanes. - After you split the section using the "S" key - I make sure the clip is muted by using the keyboard stroke " Q " ( that clip section will turn grey ) then grab the end of the active unmuted clips near the upper clip header with the mouse - the curser will change to a dbl arrow and you can very quickly pull a quick fade manually for either end of the clip to create a fade in or fade out. You can also change the clip boundary very quickly to " adjust the exact start or end time of the clip and the fade will ride along with the clip length change. It's very fast and intuitive once you done this a few times. The fade can be as long or short as you choose and it's start and ends are fully editable. When you are happy with the results - you can move onto other changes or edits - or - after you have proofed some or all of your changes in the edit - simply select " BOUNCE TO CLIPS " under the Clips Tab or right clicking the mouse - and the track will render all of your mutes and all of your fades. The bounce to clips routine is a destructive edit - except for Ctrl Z which is undo. There are multiple levels of undo as well. I primarily edit with out using comping and lanes myself - but comp lanes is the most comprehensive method to A-B your splits.
  22. I think one of the best concerts I've been to in the last 25 years was seeing Steve Hackett about 2 years ago. Just very musical with minimum pomp and hype. I would recommend it to anyone into Genesis as well. Though he touched on a few favorite Genesis tunes it was just classic great prog - ish classical rock music. I still can't describe that genre worth a damn after 40 years. Also - catch a " Musical Box " the band - concert if you can. I think I've seen them 7-8 times and they're the best Tribute you'll find.
  23. My Bread and Butter multy timbrals are Independence Pro and Kontact 5.
