  1. They're not all musicians, so I think this is the place.
  2. I remember people complaining when they replaced their first drummer.
  3. Welcome to the forum. This is among the most basic of questions when using MIDI. Like all software synthesizers, you insert the synth (I use the Insert menu at the top, but there are other ways), choose a sound set or instrument (I don't have SSD so I don't know how that's done there), Set the soft synth's output to a valid audio output, your sound card or audio interface or a bus that has its output set to a valid audio output. Using busses is the preferred method. Then, in a MIDI track, set its input to your drum machine and its output to SSD. That's the gist of it. Search forum member John Vere. He has lots of tutorials here that will certainly help you get started. Good luck!
  4. Did you learn this by unplugging the interface and then plugging it back in, or just trusting that your interface manufacturer wrote a good driver?
  5. Perhaps preparing for the advent of the new Sonar and the imminent death of Cakewalk by Bandlab?
  6. That's what I tell all the women.
  7. 5- Give us more information to help us help you, such as what audio interface or sound card you're using. What's your operating system?
  8. You take that back!!!! No need to resort to name-calling.
  9. Right-click the audio clip. Go to Process>Length. Set to desired length.
  10. Once that is done, you need to associate each MIDI channel in Instruments with the MX definition by clicking on the channel on the left, then MX on the right.
  11. Click Define. Click Import, then navigate to where you installed the .ins file. Double-click it.
  12. Download the instrument definition. Note where you downloaded it to. Open Cakewalk by Bandlab, click 'P' for Preferences. Go to MIDI>Instruments.
  13. Whenever I transfert, people leave the room.
  14. I have always used Loop Recording. Just like Take Lanes without the Lanes. Never had a problem with them.
  15. I don't think the old web site will ever send an email. There's nobody home.
  16. The ins. files will allow you to choose banks and patches of the instrument from within Cakewalk's MIDI pane. You won't have to select a thing on the keyboard (once it is set up right).

    Yes!

    Hans Zimmer tickling the ivories?
  18. Nobody here knows the answers to your questions. Probably most of the staff who check in here from time to time don't know the answers. Stay tuned.
