Are you recording with a microphone? If so, are you using headphones? If so, could the metronome sound be bleeding out the headphones to the microphone? What is this?

When you click Insert at the top and select Soft Synth, what synths are available to you?

Welcome to the forum. It depends on the patch. A piano will naturally fade over time regardless of the length of the held or drawn note. An Arp 2600 will play forever if the note is long enough, or you hold the key down.

Welcome to the forum. The 'Toneport' would be your hardware (H/W) and it looks like the H/W output is the export source, not the Master bus. Go into your project and mute the Master bus and press Play. Is it silent?

Is that what you want to do, 2 guitars and 2 microphones at the same time? If so, you will need an external mixer, as the 4i4 I have (3rd gen) can only accommodate 1 guitar and 1 mic simultaneously, plus 2 mono or 1 stereo line input on the backside, but it works great that way. If your Focusrite is new, you may be able to exchange it for another model with the inputs you need. Welcome to the forum.

I don't have Sonar, but in CbB, if you click F 10, that brings up the eraser tool. To revert, click F 9 for Draw or F 5 for the Smart Tool.

I would also copy the project and Bounce to Tracks all of them. I have read a couple threads here of folks having problems opening projects with many frozen tracks that have multiple plug-ins and VSTis. That seems to occur after some time has passed, often due to uninstalled or unauthorized synths or effects. I always Bounce.
