    I'm Baffled!

Can you post a screen shot of the maximized audio track pane? Does it happen on just that 1 audio track or other audio tracks in the same project? Anyway, that is strange.

😄 It might if you were trying to record the soft synth's sounds.

    I'm Baffled!

What are you trying to record on this audio track?

    Metronome

Are you recording with a microphone? If so, are you using headphones? If so, could the metronome sound be bleeding out the headphones to the microphone? What is this?
  5. When you click Insert at the top and select Soft Synth, what synths are available to you?

Please post pictures of Cakewalk's Preferences for Audio. Click P.
  7. Welcome to the forum. It depends on the patch. A piano will naturally fade over time regardless of the length of the held or drawn note. An Arp 2600 will play forever if the note is long enough, or you hold the key down.
  8. Not The Steven, someone else put it up a while back. Still cool.
  9. Imagine the info that could be imparted if he thought about it for a while! 😁
  10. Welcome to the forum. The 'Toneport' would be your hardware (H/W) and it looks like the H/W output is the export source, not the Master bus. Go into your project and mute the Master bus and press Play. Is it silent?
  11. Is that what you want to do, 2 guitars and 2 microphones at the same time? If so, you will need an external mixer, as the 4i4 I have (3rd gen) can only accommodate 1 guitar and 1 mic simultaneously, plus 2 mono or 1 stereo line input on the backside, but it works great that way. If your Focusrite is new, you may be able to exchange it for another model with the inputs you need. Welcome to the forum.
  12. I don't have Sonar, but in CbB, if you click F 10, that brings up the eraser tool. To revert, click F 9 for Draw or F 5 for the Smart Tool.
  13. Finally! Now I know where Negril is. Thanks. "I looked in Miami, I looked in Negril. The closest I got was a month-old bill".
