  1. I was going through some old pictures and putting the better ones up at AdobeStock, hopefully to make a few pennies commission, when I found this one. A few years ago, Mrs. Notes and I visited the Czech Republic. Before we left, we bought first row balcony tickets for Dvorak's Opera, Rusalka. When we got there, someone was in our seats. We flagged down an usher, who found someone with authority for us. She assured us she would fund seats for us. It turned out she found seats in the very first row of the theater. I just leaned over the rail, looked into the pit, and snapped this one. We were so close we could hear the cast breathing. We also heard the Czech Philharmonic and the Prague Symphony Orchestra but didn't luck out with front row seats on those nights. But the music was delightful. I hope it doesn't give Bapu GAS. We were sitting in the balcony for this one. A delightful symphony never played in the USA.
  2. When the Levee Breaks - Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie When it breaks, you'll be underwater for sure
  3. They're Red Hot - Robert Johnson lyrics: Hot tamales and they're red hot, yes she got'em for sale Hot tamales and they're red hot, yes she got'em for sale
  4. I guess we're sitting on the Johns 😉 Giant Steps - John Coltrane
  5. Walking On Sunshine - Katrina & The Waves Fun song. When we play it for the 1980s music lovers, it always goes over well.
  6. Titi Wintetrstein Quartett - For Babs IMO Some real nice "Gypsy" guitar on this one
  7. Teen Town - Weather Report I played in the Teen Town 'club' that Jaco also played in (Boca Raton, Florida). We all did back then. It was a teen club in an old abandoned WWII army training barracks. There were some apartments nearby, they were also leftover from the Army base. It's all gone now, though. As Boca grew, the land got valuable, and more modern, permanent buildings took its place. I also gigged with Jaco's first bass teacher. He told me that Jaco learned so fast, in a few months there was nothing left to show him.
  8. Walkin' - Stanley Turrentine One of my all-time favorite tenor sax players
  9. Days Of Wine And Roses - Herb Ellis
  10. Black Magic Woman / Gypsy Queen - Santana
  11. I like "Yeh, Yeh" much better, but I thought "Bonnie & Clyde" worked better with "Derek & Clive". I liked the double association.
  12. The Ballad Of Bonnie And Clyde - Georgie Fame (whose real name is Clive Powell)
  13. Maybe I'll just honk on the sax
  14. My MS history: DOS (I hated it, I have typos built into my fingers - standard equipment) Win 3.1 Win 95 Win 98SE XP Win 8 (upgraded to Win 10) Win 10 I did buy a Win7 machine for use on stage when I dropped a 7 year old XP machine and broke the hinge. The hinge part was no longer being made on the old machine. I don't have a lot of experience with 7 so I didn't count it in my list. It's just a fancy mp3 player on stage for me, so I haven't explored much of anything on it. It seems OK though. BTW, the other 2002 XP ThinkPad (the one I didn't drop) is still cranking like it was new. Insights and incites by Notes
  15. I skipped Vista. Thankfully, I didn't need a new computer when that version was released. I wasn't so luck with Win8
  16. I'll send you the 'bill' 😁 via the 'web'
  17. R.I.P Vista. My oldest is an XP computer. I use it to run the Win95 version of Master Tracks Pro when I need that app. That computer is like residents in an old folks home. Mostly sleeping, coming to whenever I need it, but it's slow.
  18. Are those two planning to get 'down'?
